His wrath and justice are. God will display every one of His attributes for the rest of eternity–His wrath, justice, righteous anger, etc in hell, and his grace, love, mercy, etc in heaven. God's wrath will burn against the wicked for eternity (boy, I can't wait for Matthew Minica's response to that. ;P).

God's wrath WILL burn against the wicked for eternity, but He is a loving and merciful God, so will not make them suffer for eternity. They would be, in fact, living for ever, just not in the same sense of being in God's presence.

God's justice demands that human sin, because the sin is committed against His infinite holiness, is given an infinite punishment. God's mercy does not override His justice and holiness. (Uh-oh… are we going to get into the same debate I had with your brother?? :D)

But in reality, they would be receiving eternal life: the reward promised only to those who believe in Jesus Christ and confess their sins.

Eternal life is not being in existence forever. Eternal life, offered only to those who are saved, is living in the presence of God forever and eternally enjoying His mercy and grace. This is not at all what the wicked experience–they will be forever tormented in a lake of fire, with darkness and weeping and gnashing of teeth.

I agree with Saved by Grace. That is why we need to be passionate about sharing the Gospel. Our souls do not die. We will either be saved and living eternally in the presence of God in heaven or if we reject Christ we will be in everlasting torment in hell. That is why we need to tell the world about Christ!

That is not eternal life. Eternal life, as defined in the Bible, is what I said in my last comment, "living in the presence of God forever and eternally enjoying His mercy and grace." The wicked do not experience this. Eternal existence is not eternal life.

There is either death or there is life. They will either die or be alive for ever. There is no in between. You cannot be consciously tormented while you are dead, so you are saying that they are alive for ever.

"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (Rev. 20:10)

You see, that verse says that the devil will be tormented for ever and ever. I never said HE wouldn't be tormented for ever and ever. Give me a verse that says WE will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Come on guys(girls) there is a topic for this about 10 spaces down called Immortality. It explains, in depth, both sides of this arguement.

@ALL this is totally unrelated to this. However, I am looking into seminaries for the future. I have looked into IMI ( associated with IBLP if anyone knows what this is) Grace thelogical seminary, and The Master's Seminary. I want to go to a Reformed Seminary and do not want to go into debt (so they need to be fairly inexpensive) Thanks guys!
