Piece of Peace

Is laziness a sin?
What about if you don't get up early, but you stay up late? (Like I do)
Is it necessary to have a job?

Here are my thought…
Laziness is a sin. "How long will you lie there, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep? 10 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, 11 and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man." Proverbs 6:9-11 (ESV)
I personally don't see a problem with later bed times and later rising times. But don't be late.
I think it is necessary for most people to have a job, or have the ability to work at a job. I can be a librarian. Or a baby-sitter (Or maybe not).

One last one before bed.

It depends on how you define laziness. When asking what is and isn't a sin, that is a question of the Law, which boils down to loving God, and loving your neighbor. This love is not an emotion but more or less a seeking of the good of another. That is to say that the love which the Law requires is active. So to the extent that we are not loving God and our neighbor and serving them, but being negligent in our obligation, this is sinful laziness.

P.S. Behold the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world
P.P.S As I have loved you, so you should love one another
P.P.P.S. Behold the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world
etc.
