I do not believe that this is a salvation issue. However, I still believe we should keep it. 1 John 3 says that no one who is born of God continues in sin. Sin is the transgression of the law. Therefore, I do not believe we should keep sinning by breaking the law. Paul says that we should not "continue in sin so that grace may abound."

I definitely agree.
"He who has my commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me, and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him."
My only problem with your last post was the way it seemed to imply that the "ceremonial law" needn't be kept only because of practicality. So, are you saying that the whole law ought to be kept, except the stuff we can't keep? Or did I read you wrong? :)

I dissagree with your reasoning, Isaac. All Scripture is God-breathed, and therefore applicable in some way or other, but I believe that the ceremonial law was abolished, symbolised by the tearing of the temple veil and possibly finalized by the destruction of the temple in 70 A.D.. The old covenant was broken, and now there is a new one. So there is more than practicality in question.

We don't break the law, ^or we try not to, by the grace of God,^ but we follow the laws outlined and given to us by Christ in the New Testament.

I would suggest that you watch a.debate by Jim Staley and another pastor on the topic of the application of the sabbath/law. I recently saw it. You should be able to find it on YouTube.

If you have a flat roof which you will be walking on, I would recommend it, you might fall off! Most builders attach themselves to harnesses when working for safety reasons. You could consider it an extension of thou shalt not kill, which is what health and safety is all about. Preventing accidents and saving lives!
