Bible Bee Scripture Memory Verses Finalists
ROMANS 12:15 tells us to "Rejoice with those who rejoice..." Here at Memverse we want to do that in congratulating any Memverse members who become Bible Bee Finalists!! Please help me out as we attempt to find and list them all on this blog page. We will also set up a new accountability chart to help encourage anyone who wants to memorize the extra 161/261/361 (including the 61 verses in 2 PETER) verses the Bible Bee Finalists will be memorizing or studying in getting ready for "Nashville in November". All are welcome to join this chart even if you, like me, will not be competing in the November contest. Regarding 2 PETER, you can treat those verses however you want. I would encourage contestants to consider memorizing the entire book to be best ready for the contest. However, you may also declare them as "fully studied but not memorized" and we will still count it on this chart.
May we also be sensitive to Bible Bee participants who did not make the list of finalists. ROMANS 12:15 ends with "... mourn with those who mourn." The obvious truth is that being one of the finalists has little to do with how much God will use His powerful Scripture in your life in the years to come. May we stress this and be gracious in our conversation on this blog.

Off topic, sorry.
@ Mr. Walker: Did you get the e-mail from my dad? He e-mailed you the calendar for memorizing Romans over the next sixteen months. He sent it to you at about 6:30 AM your time, so hopefully you got it and can post it soon!
Can't wait to figure out who they are! I know that I am probably not one of them as I got a horrible score, but I'm ok with that. God has grown me in so many different ways this summer! Can't wait to congratulate all the finalists! :)
go look at the Bible Bee website!!! It's Neat!
For some reason, I tried going to the Bible Bee website and it said i had to be logged in, but I've never had to do that before...does anyone know why?
Never mind, I figured it out :)
why are you crying???
Im going to see everyone at Nationals because my dad is the CEO of the Bible Bee so I will get to see a great deal of diligent people, and see all their hard work pay off.
I got in the top 5 in the oklahoma bible bee in hillcrest
There is a way to get to the scores though the back door...although I have not discovered it yet. My mom knows it though, and maybe I might be able to share it here.
@Ashley Bible Bee Jr 11 (NASB) - I didn't get to compete because I was in the hospital until Thursday from a ruptured appendix. My dad didn't think it would be a good idea to compete on Saturday, even though the Local host offered to call the headquarters and see if they could send someone to test me wherever I was. (hospital or home) Wasn't that sweet? That's why I'm crying, though, 'cause I worked so hard and then wasn't able to compete at all in the Locals! :( *sniff* you're getting me worked up again. Just kidding! :) Haven't shed a tear about it, even though I'm really sad...:( Wow. I really wish I could go to Nationals! :) But, if I wasn't competing, I wouldn't want to go. I want to bee (haha) IN it, not watching it!!!! That's my personality! :)
@Theodore Ja - Congratulations! :)
@Zachary Baas - yes, yes, yes! :) I so wanna know if any of my friends made it or not!!!! :) I have a really good friend and her sisters made it to the top 5 in each of their divisions (JR & SR) and I really hope they make it. Their whole family is so cool! :)
@Zachary Baas - btw, I like your photo...:)
Ok, so I don't know if i'm even supposed to be wrighting here, but I have to so...here it goes. I found out about the Bee about 5 or 6 days ago, so I don't know much. But I've been watching videos on youtube like crazy. The only problem is that I live in Peru (South America) and the only videos I can get are from 09 and 10. So sad. Anyway Does anyone know how I can get this year's ones? Oh can I participate in next year's ones from here or do I have to be in the country? Oops I almost forgot. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Briana - On the videos: Nationals 2011 is coming November 16-19 in Nashville, Tennessee, and so there are not videos yet for it. However, they will probably do a live "webcast" of the Finals again... I'm sure you'll hear more on that. The Bible Bee is currently limited to legal citizens of the fifty United States and the District of Colombia, but there is nothing to stop you from memorizing the verses. Also, I would hope that other countries would start similar programs.
Briana - The National Bible Bee Finals are in November, make sure you go to the website for all the details: www.BibleBee.org
Also here is the link to the live recording from last years Finals:
It starts at the 29min mark :)
Ok thanks. I think I got that, so I´ll try to keep up. But One thing....I am a legal citizen of the USA, at least I think I am. I mean, I was born in Iowa. Does that count? We just live here because we are missionaries. But I guess that means I can't compete from here right?
Oh! 1 more thing...how do I change my profile pic? And, um...what is the 29min mark?
Briana, we are thrilled that a missionary from Peru is joining us on memverse. I was born in Indonesia on the mission field and have a theory that there are lots of missionary families around the world who would be thrilled to be memorizing Scripture with us here on memverse if they just gave it a chance. However, so far all my efforts to spread the word about memverse among the missionary community have come up mostly empty. I would love any help you could give in letting other missionaries (Maybe through missionary schools you attend or know about) know about memverse and/or ideas of how I can more effectively spread the word among missionary families.
The 29min mark refers to 29 minutes in from the start of the video. I will let others help you with changing your picture. Yes, being from Iowa does count as being a USA citizen. The Bible Bee is open to USA citizens taking the local contest abroad as long as there is an appropriate location willing to go through all the hoops to ensure a fair contest and pay the extra shipping costs. However, if you advanced, you would have to attend the Nationals in the USA in November 2012. If you cannot find someone in Peru to run the local Bible Bee and to receive the Bible Bee's approval to have one, you could still sign up for a local Bee in the USA while living in Peru and just be prepared to come to that location in August. I wish you all the best!!
Briana - You can change your profile picture by going to http://en.gravatar.com/ and signing up with the same email address you use on Memverse. That website will help you add a picture to associate with your email address, and then when Memverse looks up your profile picture it will find that one. That would be cool if you could participate in the Bee! And like Phil said, it would be great if you could spread the word about Memverse among missionaries!
Phil - Thank you for explaining how you can participate in the Bee as a U.S. citizen even while living abroad.
@ Mr. Walker: Did you get my e-mail? I e-mailed you the calendar my dad made for memorizing Romans over the next sixteen months. I sent it to you Monday night my time, so hopefully you got it and can post it soon!
My family is also missionaries, and I have really appreciated Memverse since I started using it near the beginning of this year. I will try and spread the word to other missionaries around here!
Thanks for sharing with us Victoria. So we have at least 2 families using memverse and might get more. Praise God. Thanks for spreading the word about memverse. Can I ask where you are missionaries?
Christian, sorry for my delay in getting back to you. I am terrible on computers and have no idea how to post your Dad's awesome calendar that came through to me excellent on word. Perhaps you can set up a pdf file to send people to, or email it to Alex so he can find a way to post it on memverse. I will share the basics of it on the 1 PETER blog without any graphics.
Alex and Briana, I want to clarify that it is not easy for someone to host a local Bible Bee overseas. There are issues the local hosts will have to work through with Headquarters and extra costs involved in shipping everything overseas. I just wanted to make the point that Bible Bee is open to the idea and so it is possible. (I believe it has not been done, but HQ looked into possibly doing it with a group in Germany - possibly US military personel.)
Great job, SavedByGrace, almost done!!
I will try to do that, Mr. Walker. Thanks for getting back to me.
Alex, if you wouldn't mind giving me your e-mail address, I can try to e-mail the document to you as well, and maybe you will be able to post it.
Christian - For now, at least, I've changed the Profile setting so that you can see my email address by viewing my profile. If you just click "Alex Watt" by this comment, you should see it. Thanks. Edit: Mr. Walker just emailed me the PDF of your dad's Romans calendar, so I should be able to upload it soon. Thanks.
Thank you, BBJ11!
Thank you, Alex!
OK thanks Mr. Walker. My mom is actually even more excited about this than I am, so she is going to talk about it at the next missionary meeting. And if we get an appropriate location would we still have to have someone special to test us or could we do it on skype or something?
Okay, Alex, I sent the e-mail a few hours ago, so let me know if there are problems. Thanks.
Briana - Yes, the Bible Bee does have rules on that... You would have to have a local contest with judges who could proctor your written test and figure out the points for your oral round, and they can't be immediate family. (At least, that's how it has worked here...) Here in the US, my family helped host a local bee with around 45 children participating which took about 40+ volunteers. Maybe your missionary group would be able to help serve as volunteers for a local contest next August and hopefully their children would be interested too.
Christian - Thanks. Phil also sent it to me, and I didn't see yours till just now because it went into my Spam folder! Attention Google: A calendar for memorizing Romans is not spam. :)
Alright, great! Hopefully you can smoothly transfer it to a PDF file that you can link to from a blog post, for all of those who want to join us. I'll find out tonight at our church's prayer meeting how many others from my church will be joining us. So far, there's for sure: Nicolas, my dad, a young married couple, and me. Then there are potentially some other friends of mine who are already on memverse who are going to make their decision once they see the calendar. I pray that there will be a lot of people who want to join us on this big investment.
P.S. The interesting thing about prayer meeting tonight is that it always starts at 7:00 PM EST, so I'll be half an hour away when the scores are posted! :P
Okay thank you. I´ll tell my mom.
I was able to be in the top five at the locals because there were only five seniors. : ) However I doubt that I will be able to go to Nationals cause I don't think I got a very good score. :( BiblebeeJunior11 That is terrible. :( I hope what you learned this year will aid you in next years bee. : )
Does anyone know what time the scores are being posted tonight? And what time zone?
Well I was just on the Bible Bee website and I didn't get into nationals. : ) Oh well. Being in the Bible Bee has inspired me to try even harder for next year!! Congratulations to everyone who will be competing at nationals!!!!!! Also congratulations to everyone who has spent there summer in the best way!!!!! : ) Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break in and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupt and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Never mind, I just figured it out :) sorry I keep asking obvious questions Lol
Jess...what did you place in the Nation?
I didn't make it :( I'm sad because it was my last year. And I was so close! I'm 173 Nationwide and 8 in California. I just needed 200 more points to make it! Oh well. I'm definitely going to keep memorizing scripture for the rest of my life! The Bible Bee has sparked an interest and passion in me to learn God's word. May everyone who doesn't make it to Nationals remember that we have a treasure in our hearts that can never be taken away! And congratulations to everyone who did make it!
Is it okay if I declare some passages that I already know here?
Assuming your answer will be yes, here goes: Matthew M - TX - Sets A, B, & C: Psalm 34:4-19, Romans 12:6-12, Romans 12:14-18, Ephesians 4:32, 1 Timothy 1:17 = 30 verses
BTW: I am only declaring these verses because I am SURE that I know them. I have them all memorized on Memverse already.
EDIT: Except for Ephesians 4:32. :) I have not even added that one yet. But I KNOW that I know the verse - it was just about the first one I ever memorized!
Congratulations those that went ! Good luck and keep your eyes focused on Jesus I finished 161st.
Thanks, Nathan, and yes, congrats to all! I placed 71, and my friend, KaitlynV, placed 50!! I am soo excited!!
SavedByGrace and I both made it to the Bible Bee!!
Nicolas placed 63rd in Junior National, and I placed 81st in Senior National!
We are very excited, and look forward to meeting many of you in November!
Here we go
Kaitlyn V - MI - set A - Psalm 19:7-10, Psalm 118:22-23, Colossians 3:1-4 = 10 verses
Congratulations, Matthew, you beat me at getting the first declaration in. I'm glad you're joining us again. I actually changed the rules a little. We are including 2 PETER on this chart. Therefore the new junior declarations are 13 verses. I am posting one letter per day for those in the lead. I will post your B tomorrow. Feel free to just declare 9 verses for your C declaration, since you already declared 4 extra verses for your A and B.
Kaitlyn, great to see you are up for another accountability encouragement. With the new change in declaration #, you owe me 3 verses and can simply declare 16 in your B set to catch up or catch up the extra 3 later. I trust the new count will not deter you from continuing with the chart.
Declaration for Phil W IND set A = PSALM 19:7-10 (incredible verses); 121:1-8 (what comfort!); JOHN 3:1-3; ROMANS 8:26-28 = 18 Verses
Did anybody notice that the 6 who completed the previous accountability chart all qualified as National Finalists!!!! Praise God! Congratulations to Bethany, Josiah, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Christian, and Nicolas. I hope you all and many others continue to join us on this new declaration chart!
All are welcome, even if you, like me, are not actually competing in the National Bible Bee Finals.
Please help me update my list of Finalists registered on memverse. Currently I have:
Seniors: Christian Alexander, Josiah DeGraaf, Laura Hedstrom, Grace Mieczkowski, Marie Morris, Bethany Pentimone, Alex Watt
Juniors: Nicolas Alexander, Zachary Baas, Hannah Del Toro, Clara Kho, Matthew Minica, Courtney Minica, Carissa Pentimone, Hannah Teeters, Kaitlyn Vredevoogd,
Primary: No confirmations, but I do have questions on siblings who made it. Are Felice Kho (P), David Pentimone (P), Thomas Teeters (P), and/or Melody Mieczkowski (S) on memverse?
Phil - Thanks for starting the list. I'm not able to answer your questions about other possible Memverse users, but I do have a few people that can be added to the list and a few other questions. Abigail Brigham (Abigail Grace on Memverse) and Olivia Guillard (Olivia G. on Memverse) are two other National Senior qualifiers. I'm relatively sure Emily Brigham (Junior National qualifier) is on Memverse also. Also, Prasanth Venigalla has participated in some of the quizzes, and I notice "Pallavi Sarah Venigalla" is a Primary National qualifier - probably a sibling (can someone clarify?). Anyone else not named in the list that qualified or knows a Memverse qualifier should please post a comment so we can have the correct information.
Congratulations to all of you!
Good job everyone! My brothers and their friend made it! So hopefully I will see some of you in Nashville!
Thanks, Alex. I added Abigail, Olivia, and Emily. What level is Prasanth?
I have typed out the NIV verses in word and will, Lord willing, have them available here on memverse in all 3 levels, as well as prompterized, on study stack and this time set up to make the Bible Bee camp game of unscrambling the long verses. I want to give you heads up so no one else duplicates the work.
If anyone has the verses in a word document or other helps in other translations, please let me know so I can post them. firstname.lastname@example.org
If people want to prompterize on their own, the website is www.productivity501.com/how-to-memorize-verbatim-text/294/
My sister Melody is not on Memverse..... but she is considering signing up so that she can participate in the chart. We'll let you know when she's here!
Congratulations to everyone who made it!!!
Congrats to all of you who worked hard over the summer to learn the Bible Bee verses!!! I'm amazed at how hard all the contestants worked at studying the Bible. It's wonderful to see you all so excited about learning the Word of God. To all of you who qualified for nationals, great job! If you didn't qualify, you've still earned a very priceless treasure by learning God's Word, and great job on your diligence in studying, nonetheless.
@PhilWalker--Thanks for all the encouragement that you've been to the BB contestants over the summer. I know my sisters were very blessed by it, as I'm sure many others were as well.
I might be joining you all in this challenge next year =)
Congratulations to all who made it! I'm looking forward to the new verses and 2 Peter!
Thanks for putting us up, Alex=) Yes, Emily has a Memverse account, although we both did most our studying offline. We enjoyed doing the quizzes on here! Elizabeth Ledford also is a Memverse user; like Emily and me, she did most of her studying offline but participated in several quizzes.
See you in Nashville=) I'm so excited to meet so many of you!!
Congratulations to everyone who qualified!!!!!! I can't wait to see all of you at Nationals. I placed 25th in the Senior Division!! My name is Darcy Arnall if you want to add me to the list.
Congratulations, everyone! Even if you didn't qualify for Nationals, it's still wonderful that you are learning God's Word! Keep up the hard work! I placed 65th in the Senior division.
Thank you, Mr. Walker, for letting us do this chart again! It was very helpful for last time! Also, David Pentimone is my little brother (P) but he is not on memverse.
Set A - Psalm 121:1-8, Matthew 6:25-34 = 18 verses
One more thing: Allison (I'm not sure of her last name) made it in the Junior Division. She is very new to Memverse, so I don't know if she will declare verses.
Congratulations to all the finalists!!! I'm Nina Camillone and I qualified in senior division. Also Prasanth Venigalla qualified as a Senior.
I qualified for nationals at 39th place!!!
I am so excited!!!
Congratulations to Everyone! And Alex, my brother Anand is in the Junior Group, my sister Pallavi is in the Primary division and I'm a Senior. By God's grace we all made it to nationals :)
Congratulations everyone!!!!! I am really excited!!!!!!!!!! Here is my first declaration:
Carissa P - MO - Set A - Exodus 34:2-9, 1 Samuel 2:7-8, Psalm 19:7-10 = 14 verses (I will do 12 next time).
Congratulations everyone! I'm so glad to see such a strong showing from MemVerse. I can't wait to meet everyone in Nashville. Let's keep encouraging one another and building each other up.
Kaitlyn V - MI - set B - Romans 8:1-2, Ephesians 1:11-19, Ephesians 4:32, Colossians 3:23-24, 1 Thessalonians 5:18 = 16 verses
Hey Darcy - My sister Anna and I sat with you at the Celebration Dinner last year! We had so much fun ;) We were excited to see that you are coming again this year!
Congratulations to all the National Qualifiers. I have some freinds that Qualified from my Local Bee.
Anyway. Just want to say Good Luck in memorizing! Have Fun.
Grace, I was very happy to see that you and Melody both qualified for Nationals this year. Congrats!! I hope we can find some time to talk again this year. Say "hello" to Anna for me!
One more Memverse user that is a national qualifier: Rachel Eaton ("Rachel E"), Senior.
Prasanth - I don't know how I missed that! Praise God and congratulations!
I'm a qualifying Senior too. =) Here's my first declaration:
Stephanie H. FL A = Psalm 121:1-8, Matthew 6:25-34
I added Rachel, Prasanth, Nina, and Darcy. Great to see so many Bible Bee finalists on memverse! I would love to see any and all who think it could be helpful and encouraging join us with our chart above.
Grace, it would be very nice to see both you and your sister Melody (and friend Darcy) join us.
Wonderful to see both Bethany and Carissa joining us. I praise God for that providential meeting your mom had with Jim Woychuk which has already brought forth such fruit. (Please pass on my congratulations to your brother David.)
Prasanth, Congratulations to being in another 3 finalists family. Your parents must be very thankful. Are your brother Anand and/or sister Pallavi on memverse?
Laura, I agree that there could be quite a Memverse "so nice to meet you offline" get together at Nationals. I don't believe I and my wife will be able to make it this year, but it is still possible.
Bethany, if you could track down Allison's last name, I would like to add her to the list.
Abigail, what division is your friend Elizabeth Ledford in?
Amy, thanks for your kind words and encouragement. I am curious who your sisters are, and yes, it would be good to hear if you decide to join in next year.
@PhilWalker--thank you for all the work you're doing on here!
Actually, I'm older sister to Bethany, Carissa, and David :) I'm so thankful to God for allowing them to participate in the BB and look forward to seeing how God will continue to use this in their life. I didn't participate in the BB this year, but I may next year, if the Lord allows, as that would be the last year that I'm in the age limit.
@Mr. Walker - Thank you for letting us do this chart again for our verses! I appreciate it greatly! Yes, I'm so glad that we got to meet the Woychuk's! They told us, that they will probably be going to Nationals, which means we will get to see them again! I passed your words on to David, and he said to tell you "thank you" :)
Okay, you can put down Allison now. "Allison Couch"
@Amy - Oh, I hope you do it next year! We would get to be Seniors together...how fun would that be?! Okay, it might be hard because we are using different translations (why don't you switch to ESV?!) and that we would be competing agianst each other...but it would still be tons of fun!
@Bethany--Great fun beyond the points of differing Bible translations & competitions?? =)
Congrats to all...and great job, sisters (Bethany and Carissa). :) :) :)
Still can't believe about little brother!!! :O
Stephanie, welcome to memverse and thanks for joining us on this Finalists accountability chart. Congratulations on making it to the Finals.
Thanks for clarifying, Amy. It looks like Daniel is another Pentimone sibling joining us on memverse. Is he the oldest? Did both of you join the family trip to my 2nd favorite Scripture memory event, the Scriptorium in Hannibal, MO. This past July was actually the first one I have missed in 5 years. I pray I and my wife will make future ones.
Phil W IND Set B declaration: Psalm 20:7; Rom 8:1-2; 10:9-13; and one of my all-time favorite Matthew 6:25-34 = 18 verses. How awesome is it that Bible Bee finalists are memorizing the MATTHEW passage! Is it possible that God might raise up a new breed of Christians who actually believe Jesus' radical words here? How the USA church could use believers who think that knowing the All-powerful, All-knowing, All-loving, multi-billionaire Creator God as our caring and ever watchful Father and having a guarenteed glorious, 1,000+ year retirement worth more than billions of dollars can give us more peace than thousands of dollars in the bank reserved for now and for the "all-important?" short pre-retirment here on earth.
Elizabeth Ledford is a senior. Her brothers, Andrew and Anthony, are juniors, but I'm not sure if they're on here.
How are everyone's new verses and 2 Peter going? Emily and I are enjoying the challenge of putting together our own Sword Study!
Darcy, I think I met you after the oral rounds--we were playing foosball in the family fun area=)
Christian - Did you change your name to ChiefofSinners??
I have a question: how should we tag the new verses for nationals on memverse? Bible Bee 2011 Nationals Levels 1, 2, and 3? That's kind of long.
Abigail, you're right. We did meet after the oral rounds at last year's national competition. I greatly enjoyed our conversation and foosball (is that how you spell that word?) game and I hope we get the chance to talk again this year. See you in November
Congratulations everyone! I hope you guys have a great time at Nationals! And tell me how it goes...in detail! (After the Nationals of course...I'll remind you in a few months...)
I also want to know all about it (if we can't make the arrangements to come anyway)! We are really trying to see if we can come, but gas is so expensive! So, please all be praying that gas goes down and that my family can come! Thanks! I'll be praying for all of you as you study!
Btw, this is "Sarah BB". I switched back over to my personal account since I didn't make it to Nationals. Now I am adding all the verses I memorized to my personal account plus all of 1 Peter. I really want to memorize 1 Peter! :)
Zachary Baas - MI - Psalm 20:7;118:22-23, Romans 8:1-2, Ephesians 4:32, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18;5:18, 2 Timothy 4:1-2
@ Mr. Walker - National contestants should be memorizing 1) Primary 2-4, 2) Junior 4-8 and 3) Senior 6-12. If we are expected to do a declaration every day, wouldn't it be better to do 50 declaration of Primary, 2, Junior, 4 and Senior, 6? Just a thought.
@ Christian Alexander (or do you prefer us to call you by your screen name?) - What is your profile picture?
Kaitlyn V - MI - set C - Psalm 34:4-19 = 16 verses (I'll declare 10 next time)
@ all - here is a GREAT website for looking up Greek words - http://www.eliyah.com/cgi-bin/strongs.cgi?file=greeklexicon&isindex (BTW - when you click the link, it will say "Result of search for "isindex". Just ignore that. The search box is under that statement. This is a great tool for those of you who don't have access to a Strong's Concordance. This website is for a Strong's Lexicon. For more descriptive results use www.blueletterbible.org .
I am also making a StudyStack on the key Greek words for 2 Peter and I will post it when it is finished.
Congratulations, Bible Bee Finalists! We're excited for you, and trust that God's word in your heart will bear fruit before, during, and after Bible Bee Finals. Hope to see you all there.
Grace and peace,
Jim, Susan, Faith, Jonathan, and Mary Woychuk
It would be fun to have a time and place for all the National qualifiers from Memverse to meet at Nationals. I think we all "know" each other pretty well, but yet most of us have not met each other.
Congratulations to all who made it! I hope you all do well! :)
Carissa P - MO - Set B - Psalm 20:7; Psalm 34:4 - 15 = 12 (I did 12 this time because I did 14 last time)
Yes, I hope we can see each other again Woychuk family. I really ejoyed meeting you all at the scriptoriam.
Set B - John 3:1-3, Luke 4:16-21 (the cross-refence in here is Isaiah 61:1-3), Psalm 20:7, Psalm 118:22-23, Matthew 26:31-35, Matthew 26:39 = 18 verses!
@Woychuk's - I'm very excited that we will get to see you again at Nationals! I can't wait :)
@Kaitylyn - Yes, that sounds like a great idea. There are so many people on here that I really want to meet!
Does anyone know how I can find out what I placed in the nation?
Okay, Mr. Walker, I will do nine verses for "C". I do plan to memorize 2 Peter but I'm going to do the actual BB verses first.
Matthew M - TX - Sets C & D: Psalm 20:7, Psalm 118:22-23, Romans 8:1-2, Ephesians 4:18-24, Ephesians 6:10-18, 1 Thessalonians 5:18 = 22 verses - 9 for C, and 13 for D
I hope you don't mind all these Double Declarations? I was very happy to figure out that I already know 75 of the Nationals verses, so I am trying to catch up to myself.
@Jess - you can go to http://www.biblebee.org/_pages/scores_nat.php
Kaitlyn, I think that is a great idea! I think the best place and time to do that will be the place that we will go after our oral quizzing. The Family Fun area, I think it was called last year?
Kaitlyn and Matthew - I agree it sounds like a good idea. Yes, Matthew, I think that's what it was called. Does anyone remember how that worked for the different age divisions? I don't recall where the Seniors are when the Juniors are going to Family Fun... I guess Seniors might be in there at the same time, which would work, unless they have to take the Written Test at that point... We have a lot of Juniors & Seniors using Memverse and going to Nationals (not any Primary contestants yet to our knowledge). We may need to wait for the schedule to come out to be able to plan in more detail...
@ Alex, Kaitlyn & Matthew - A GREAT idea!!
Btw - here is the link to the 2 Peter Key Greek words study - http://www.studystack.com/flashcards-674602 . Hope this helps.
As I remember, the schedule from last year was like this...
At 8:00, the Primaries had their Oral Test and the Juniors did their Written Test. Then at 9:00, the Seniors went to their Written Test and the Primaries and Juniors had a 30-minute break. At 9:30 the Primaries did the Written Test, and the Juniors did the Orals, while at 10:00 the Seniors had a 30-minute break and then went to Orals at 10:30. The competition was finished at 11:30, at which time all of the contestants were in the Family Fun Room.
Not 100% sure, just what this imperfect human mind can remember... :)
@ Matthew I went to the link and I'm a little confused. It says that I ranked 329th but does that mean in the nation or in the state? Because I noticed that someone in a different state got 329th also. thanks
Jess, that will mean 329th in the nation, but it is filtered also by your age division and track. It is a little confusing. :)
Okay, Thanks, @Racheal Crosswhite I placed 329th in the nation. This is the first year I have participated. What about you?
Matthew, your schedule looks right to me! The seniors and juniors didn't have overlapping time in the Family Fun area--all the seniors just had an extra hour to sleep and study=) But if anyone wants to meet there, they can. The only downside is that once you're in, you're not allowed out until all the rounds are over. Maybe it would be better to meet a little before one of the assemblies or something...it will be fun when we can see "face to face," as 1 Corinthians says (I think that over computer is even more dimly than in a mirror!). I was thinking it would be fun to get a group picture of all the Memverse users/ accountability forum members who are there!
Zachary, great to see you joining us here on the new declaration chart. I like your idea, but feel like some people might not like making so many declarations so we will keep it to 20 declarations.
Kaitlyn, a gathering for Memverse users at Nationals is a fantastic idea. We would love to include a picture of all memverse users who attend in the December newsletter. I believe memverse will have a booth at Nationals, so that would be one natural place to meet for a group picture (as well as a great place to bring all your new "not yet memverse users" friends :) We will share more on this as we learn more. We will most likely be looking to set up a schedule of volunteers to help us host the booth and enthusiastically share about memverse to visitors.
Kaitlyn, are you trying to start a new trend here: Declaring 10, then 16, then another 16, then planning to go back to 10 rather than the conventional 13 each time that other juniors are doing. Should I have picked a different number than the "unlucky" 13?
Phil Walker IND set C = ROMANS 12:6-12 (12:9-12 has long been my favorite passage to encourage sports team I coached to memorize together); ROMANS 12:14-18 (I love these verses, but wish they didn't exclude ROMANS 12:13 which is surely missing from much of our "Live in a bubble and be afraid of strangers, especially poor strangers" Christian culture); 2 CORINTHIANS 4:16 (enjoy more and more as I get older, and yet with Jacky's and God's help, feel younger every day.); 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17-21 (May we with confidence share with others the world's greatest "exchange program" in history found in 2 CCORINTHIANS 5:21)
Sarah, I will join you in praying that you and your family will be able to get to Nationals. Can I ask where you live?
@Mr. Walker - I don't know if you saw my comment farther up...but, I found out Allison's last name. You can put her on the list of Juniors. Her name is "Allison Couch"
Here's my next set...
B = Matthew 26:31-35, Matthew 26:39, Luke 4:16-21, John 3:1-3, Romans 8:26-28 = 18 verses
Hmmm... I thought that I had posted my declaration here already, but I suppose...
Set A: 1 Samuel 2:7-8, Psalm 34:4-19--18 verses
Carissa P - MO - Set C - Psalm 34:16-19; Psalm 69:4-9; Psalm 84:1-3 = 13 verses
Mr. Walker, We live in Louisiana - about 45 minutes north of New Orleans. It would be about an 8 hour drive without stops. Im the oldest of 6, so it would be a lot longer than that. Also, you have to pay for EVERYTHING at Nationals if you're not a contestant. I don't think we'll be able to make it, but if we do go, I'd love to help at your memverse table! ;)
@Phil Walker - Hi Mr. Walker, Yes, I am the oldest of the 7 Pentimone siblings. Too old to compete in the Bible Bee :( In fact, I unfortunately won't even be able to attend Nationals due to school :( :( Nice to meet you, and thanks so much for all you do on Memverse!
@Woychucks - Great to see you on Memverse! Hope all is well. Still thinking about how much I enjoyed the Scriptorium!
@Phil Walker - We are missionaries in China.
Sorry Sarah! What did you place?
Carissa P - MO - Set D - Psalm 84:4-7; Psalm 116:12-14; Psalm 118:22-23; Isaiah 53:1 = 13 Verses
LauraH - NE - Set A - Exodus 34:2-9, 1 Samuel 2:7-8, Psalm 19:7-10, Psalm 20:7 = 15 verses. I will do more next time to make up. :)
Also, Mr. Walker, I memorized 2 Peter previous to the Bible Bee...so I guess I will just stop declaring verses sometime before I get to 'T'.
Kaitlyn V - MI - set D - Exodus 34:2-9, 1 Samuel 2:7-8 = 10 verses (I'll try to do 13 next time, Mr. Walker)
I have decided that I will be praying for all Memverse contestants going to the Bible Bee. May the Lord bless you all. Please tell others about Memverse while you are at the NBB! May the Lord truly bless all of you. Good luck !!
Set C - John 3:10-21, Isaiah 53:1-4, = 16 (Next time I'll do 20)
@God's Bondslave - Thank you for praying for us all!
@ChiefOfSinners - Congratulations on reaching level 16! EDIT - Now, Congratulations on reaching level 18! :)
Laura, welcome to the accountability chart. Great to see you join us. You are welcome to declare the 2 PETER verses even if you have memorized them in the past. Maybe you could quote some each declaration as a review, or just declare them at the end to make sure you still have them sharp.
God's Bondslave, I and my wife Jacky will also join you in praying for all the Memverse contestants in the Bible Bee finals, and especially for those who declare on this chart.
Daniel, Hi. Thanks for introducing yourself. I'm sorry I missed meeting your family at the Scriptorium. I am curious what school you are at. One of my most passionate prayer request is that Scripture memory and an authentic treasuring of the Bible would become a more normal part of Christian colleges and seminaries and Christian groups on secular campuses. I have become more and more aware and saddened by the negative snowball effect damage caused by having graduates of Christian colleges and seminaries not know or love Scripture. Being here in the Far East it is obvious to see much of the Christian culture trying to copy all the latest and greatest Scripture trivializing trends, programs, initiatives and teaching coming out of the USA church.
Memverse will soon start a school leaderboard. Do you have some friends you can encourage to memorize on your campus, and maybe even together consider an outreach to share the treasure of Scripture with others on your campus.
@ Josiah Congratulations on memorizing your 1000th verse that is a huge milemark. Once again it is a great joy to be able to memorize the Scrptures with all of you.
Josiah - Yes, great job and congratulations!
Set B: Exodus 34:2-9, Psalm 19:7-10, Psalm 69:4-9: 18 verses
Congratulations, Josiah, on reaching 1,000 memorized verses! Good job!
Josiah, Congratulations on memorizing 1,000 verses AND declaring set B.
Here's my set for C... John 3:10-21 and Acts 26:12-18 = 19 verses.
I'll submit 17 next time. =)
Carissa P - MO - Set E - Isaiah 53:2-12; Isaiah 58:11; Luke 6:35 = 13 verses
Zachary Baas - MI - Eph. 6:10-18, Col. 3:1-4 = 13 verses
Victoria, very good to hear that you are in China. I am close by in the Philippines on my way to Indonesia. Both countries have many Chinese active in the church. I would love to go to China someday!! What does your family do there in China? Do you attend the International school or have other places you can share about memverse? I would love to see more active members from China and Peru from you and Briana spreading the word.
Sarah, thanks for the details. We will keep praying for your family to be able to go. Even though an 8 hours drive is not close, it could be farther. Do you have friends you can stay with in Nashville or other housing options near the Nationals that could cut down the cost a little?
We mostly do discipleship type work. We are home schooled, but we do know quite a few people from the International school here. Also I am planning to tell some Chinese friends who know English quite well.
Set B: Laura H - NE - Psalm 34:4-19, Psalm 69:4-9 = 22 verses.
Hey, I'm not in the lead in my group now! So I guess I can do another double declaration. :)
Matthew M - TX - Sets E & F: Ephesians 1:11-19, Colossians 3:1-4, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18, 1 Timothy 1:2, 2 Timothy 4:1-2, Titus 2:11-13, James 2:17-18, 1 John 2:28 = 26 verses
EDIT: @Phil: You never put down my "D" declaration on the chart. I think that was my fault, because I declared two letters when I was only supposed to do one, being in the lead in my group. You probably forgot about it, having so many other things to think about. Sorry about that. :)
(Christian Alexander) Declaration A: Exodus 34:2-9; 1 Samuel 2:7-8; Psalm 19:7-10; Psalm 20:7; Romans 8:26-28 = 18 verses.
Declaration B: Psalm 34:4-19; Romans 8:1-2 = 18 verses.
Glad you could join us on the chart, Laura and Christian!
Set D - Acts 20:35, Romans 8:26-28, Romans 9:17, Romans 8:1-2, Acts 26:12-18, 2 Peter 3:12-18 = 21
@Mr. Walker - It's kind of hard trying to come out with 18 verses only each time, so I hope you don't mind that sometimes I do a little less and sometimes a little more. Next time, I will declare 17.
I'll be jumping into the chart soon! Still trying to recover from vacation and dive into all the activity that comes with the start of a new school year :)
Christian, great to see you joining our accountability chart again. Is your brother planning a new chart debut soon?
Yes, Bethany, we are flexible.
Matthew, please forgive my forgetting to post your D set. We are still not yet posting double declarations for anyone close to the lead. Do you believe in 2nd chances? I trust I will remember to post your F set tomorrow.
Grace, we will look forward to your declarations. Is there still a chance your sister will join us?
Daniel, did you see my earlier post? I am curious what school you are going to?
Phil W IND set D = 2 CORIN 9:6-8 (One of my favorite life principles: If only we could fully believe the outrageous verse 8 to inspire us to wholeheartedly live by 6-7); 12:7-10; EPHESIANS 5:15-21 (one of my favorite NIV Scripture songs is this sung to "Doe a Deer". I wonder if it would work in other translations.) COLOSSIANS 3:1-4 = 18 verses
Mr. Walker--yes, I will be joining soon. It may take a while, though--I have so much going on around here--mostly because I've committed to so much here on Memverse. :) Thanks, everyone for all the ideas, insights, etc, that have pushed me to dive deeper into my faith. It's great to have a second community of believers striving after the same goal, encouraging me and each other as we go (the first one, of course, is my church ;) ). Since being on Memverse, I have committed to memorizing the Bible, memorizing 1 Peter and Romans some time before next year is over, and reading ten chapters of the Bible a day, and I haven't regretted a minute of it! I have grown discouraged a few times (especially after school began), but I know that this studying and working will bring me closer to God and will reap eternal benefits!
Thank you so, so, so much for creating Memverse, Andy, and for continuing it, everyone else! I don't know what would have happened had God not brought Memverse into my life. You might not realize just how much this great website has done, Andy! Keep up the good work!
My sister Melody just got her Memverse account yesterday! She'll be here soon as well :)
Set C: Laura H - NE - Psalm 84:1-7, Psalm 121:1-8, Psalm 116:12-14 = 18 verses.
Yes, I certainly believe in second chances! The book of Jonah is a great example of second chances. My sister has memorized that book before! I have to ask you for a second chance, too, because I keep posting too many declarations while in the lead. I won't do any today, and while I am in the lead, from now on I will only do one per day. :)
@PhilWalker--I reminded Daniel of your question, and I'm sure he will try to reply soon :)
Thanks Amy. There is no hurry. I just wanted to make sure the comment didn't get lost.
@Phil Walker - Hi Mr. Walker, Sorry for my slow response! I've been so busy recently. In answer to your question, I am part of Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City. I'm working on my RN degree - I'll graduate in May! Certainly there is a lot of work to do on college campuses. I have been and will continue to keep my eye out for opportunities to share truth on my campus... and promote study of the Scripture whenever possible. Certainly, the Bible is the sure method of revival - sola scriptura!
Well, good to meet you online, and I will try to do a better job at responding to comments.
Set D: Laura H - NE - Matthew 6:25-34, Nahum 1:2-8, Psalm 118:22-23 = 19 verses.
I qualified 10th place in junior.Congratulations everyone.
Me and my brother made it in junior, my brother was 10th and I was 27th. My brother is also an Alternate in Primary.
EDIT: My brother just posted above me
I just edited my comment but it doesn't show up. Help please!
It fixed it now. . . interesting
Alethea - On comments: they are updated on each blog post every five minutes (it's something called "caching"). We're looking to improve how that works. And, just so you know, I saw your comment on the other post and removed the link for the old quiz. It's not automatic. :) Thank you for the reminder. I'll try to remember to do more quickly next time.
Kaitlyn V - MI - set E - Psalm 69:4-9, Psalm 116:12-14, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 = 13 verses :)
Alethea and Kerestel, Congratulations for qualifying for Nationals. I hope you enjoy quizzing and sharpening each other as you prepare for Nashville in November. Feel free to share anything here to get discussion going among the Finalists. If you think it would be helpful to you, we would love for either or both of you to join us on the Accountability/Encouragement chart above as you make your way through the new verses and 2 PETER.
Kaitlyn, thanks for ending the declaring draught. I was starting to wonder if we had seen our last declaration for the year.
Phil W IND Set E for EPHESIANS 4:18-24;; 6:10-18; COLOSSIANS 3:23-24 = 18 verses
@Mr. Walker, thanks! We do enjoy quizzing and sharpening each other! (And arguing about who's going to win first place), ;) I would like to join! . . . But, I don't know how!
@Mr. Watt, Thanks for the information!
Alethea, to declare verses and join the chart, list the references for 13 of the finalist verses you have memorized. Also give us the state you are from.
Psalm 34:4-19 is 16vs. (I've memorized more), and I'm from Minnesota
Kerestel L MN Exodus 34:2-9; 1 Samuel 2:7-8; Psalm 116:12-14 = 13 verses
Alethea and Kerestel, great to have both of you join us on the chart. Alethea, since, you did 16 verses this time, you can do 10 verses next time to get back on track.
Sorry I haven't done this yet--
Nicolas A OH: Exodus 34:2-9; 1 Samuel 2:7-8; Psalm 19:7-10 = 14 verses.
Sorry I have fourteen--I'll try to do twelve one of these times.
Psalm 69:4-9 Psalm 19:7-10 =10vs.
Kaitlyn Vredevoogd - MI - set F - Psalm 20:7, Isaiah 58:11, Acts 12:1-5, Romans 14:17-19, 2 Timothy 4:1-2, 1 John 2:28 = 13 verses
Congratulations fellow National qualifiers! I am new to Memverse and already enjoy it tremendously! Thanks Phil and Alex for all the work you guys have done. Please let me know how I can join the live Bible Bee quizzes on Fridays.
@Thomas Youngman; Congratulations! are you in Senior, Junior or Primary?
Set F - Luke 6:36-38; Romans 12:6-12; Romans 12:14-16 = 13 verses.
Thomas - Congratulations! Thanks for asking about the quizzes. You can find more information on them here: http://www.memverse.com/blog/main/Post_Bible_Bee. The next quiz is September 23 at 4:00 PM EDT. Other than what is in that post, you just need to make sure that the Bible version you have set in your Account Profile is what you want to use for the quiz. Hope you can make it!
Thanks Alex! I am looking forward to Friday and to Nationals. I hope to meet you there!
Matthew M - TX - Set G: Nahum 1:2-8, 1 Timothy 1:5, Titus 3:4-8 = 13 verses
Please forgive me, Mr. Walker, for not doing this sooner!
Bethany P MO: (Set E) 2 Corinthians 3:12-18, 2 Corinthians 4:16, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, Hebrews 10:36-39 = 17 (I did 21 last time, so that's why I did 17 this time. Hope you don't mind!)
@Aletha, I am competing as a senior.
Laura H - NE - Set E: Luke 4:16-21, Luke 6:35-38, Romans 12:14-18, John 3:1-3 = 18 verses.
Christian A - OH - Set C: Psalm 64:4-9; Psalm 84:1-7; Psalm 116:12-14; Psalm 118:22-23 = 18 verses.
Okay, I'm not sure how this is supposed to work, but I'm going to declare the verses of 2 Peter that I've studied so far. For each of these verses I have looked up all key Greek words and cross-references, and I've read John Gill's commentary on the verse:
2 Peter 1:1-9
Since I'm doing a verse a day, I may end up trying to memorize 2 Peter while I'm at it. I memorized Chapter 1 verses 3-8 for the Bible Bee already, so that part's taken care of. And I've quite easily memorized verses 1 and 2 as well, so once I've memorized verse 9, I'm well on my way to memorizing the whole book!
Matthew M - TX - Set H: Acts 12:1-5, 2 Corinthians 9:6-8, 2 Timothy 4:1-2, 3 John 1:2-4 = 13 verses
Kerestel L MN Isaiah 53:1-12 = 12 verses
Here are the verses I've memorized of 2 Peter so far 1:1-11
Bethany P MO (Set F): Ephesians 5:15-21, Titus 2:3-5, Hebrews 9:26-28, Hebrews 10:10-12, 1 John 3:17, = 17 (Next time I'll do 19. Hope you don't mind, Mr. Walker!)
Studying 2 Peter is coming along very well. Our mom is going through it with us about every day. I think we gotten to about verse 15! It's being very interesting...and I'm REALLY enjoying studying it! It's such a wonderful book! I hope to have all my Senior and Primary verses learned by tomorrow night!
Luke 6:35-38 Psalm 84:1-7 Psalm 116:12-14= 13vs.
@Phil, Matthew Staley, a fellow Memverse user, is a Senior Bible Bee Finalist.
Laura H - NE - Set E: Matt. 26:31-35, Romans 12:6-12, Acts 12:1-5, Isaiah 58:11 = 18 verses.
Great to see so many declarations!! Thomas, thanks for letting me know about Matthew Staley.
Kerestel and Christian and others, 2 PETER declarations work the same as other verses. Kerestel, I counted yours as a double declaration, since you were only short 3 verses. Please declare 16 verses next time.
Christian, I did not include your 2 PETER verses in your declaration, so for your next one you could declare 2 PETER 1:1-9 plus 9 other verses if you want.
All of you are in Jacky and my prayers as you prepare for Nashville in November! Don't forget to keep reviewing the summer Bible Bee verses.
Oh, I see. That makes more sense. Well then, I'll declare:
Christian A. - OH - Set D - 2 Peter 1:1-10; Psalm 121 (:1-8) = 18 verses.
Sorry I'm doing this so slowly compared to how fast I did it on the last chart... :)
Nicolas A OH "B": Psalm 34:4-19 = 16 verses.
I kinda couldn't help doing this much in one declaration. :) But I'll attempt to do nine verses (because of this overdone declaration and the last one) next time.
Set G - Romans 14:17-19; 2 Cor. 3:4-6; 2 Cor. 12:7-10; Eph. 4:10-12 = 13 verses.
Great Job to everyone!!
Matthew M - TX - Set I: Galatians 3:24-25, Colossians 3:23-24, Colossians 4:5-6, Hebrews 1:13-14, James 4:6-10 = 13 verses
Sorry, I meant Eph. 4:18-20.
Set H - Eph 4:21-24; Eph. 6:10-18 = 13 verses
I would really like to hear how peoples new national verses and 2 Peter study are going.
I finished my verses on Wednesday. My study of 2 Peter is going good too. We have finished chapter 1 and have moved on to chapter 2.
Keep up the hard work everybody!!
I finished learning my Nationals verses too, Carissa, on Friday. I haven't had time to perfect them yet, but hopefully will soon! That gives me eight weeks to review and study 1&2 Peter.
Matthew M - TX - Set J: Romans 10:9-13, Romans 14:17-19, Titus 3:1-2, Hebrews 1:13-14, 2 John 1:3 = 13 verses
That's wonderful, Matthew! I have finished all the Senior and Primary verses, and have started on the Junior ones.
Bethany P - MO - Set G: Hebrews 13:15-17, James 1:3-5, Revelation 21:1-3, Psalm 84:1-7, 1 Samuel 2:7-8, Isaiah 58:11 = 19, because I did 17 last time.
Keep up the hard work everyone!
Kaitlyn V - MI - set G - Nahum 1:2-8, Romans 10:9-13, 2 Peter 1:1 = 13 verses
Grace M - MI - set A - Ephesians 5:15-21, Luke 6:35-38, Romans 12:6-12 = 18 verses
Set B - James 4:6-10, Ephesians 3:6, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, Nahum 1:2-8 = 18 verses
Question: Are Double Declarations fine?
Set C: Psalm 84:1-7, Psalm 116:12-14, Psalm 121:1-8
Kaitlyn V - MI - set H - Romans 12:6-12, Romans 12:14-18, 2 Peter 1:2 = 13 verses
Grace, great to have you joining us.
Josiah, your trademark Double Declaration days are allowed and welcome as long as you are not close to the lead, so you can sneak in a couple of them and maybe more as you try to catch Bethany.
For some reason, it would not let me edit the page. I hope it does soon so I can post everyone's declarations.
My next declaration is coming soon--and I'm sorry, but I think it will be too long yet again. I'm trying to figure out a correct way to do it with such long passages. :) And Mr. Walker, I noticed you spelled my name wrong on the accountability chart. It's "Nicolas," not "Nicholas." Just to let you know. ;)
EDITED--Oh yeah, you can't edit the page. Oh well. I can live with it for now. :)
2ND EDIT--Thanks, Alex, for fixing it!
Set I - Col. 3:1-4; Col. 4:5-6; Titus 2:11-13; Titus 3:4-7 = 13 verses
Good Job, Matthew!! I am looking forward to meeting you all at nationals.
Nicolas A OH "C": Psalm 20:7; Psalm 69:4-9; Psalm 118:22-23 = 9 verses.
Good, it looks like I now have an even score of 39! Thanks for this chart, Mr. Walker! Let's see if I can catch up to anyone... ;)
Laura H - NE - Set G - John 3:10-21, Romans 10:9-13, Matt. 26:39 = 18 verses.
Double Declaration Day!
Set D: Psalm 118:22-23, Isaiah 53:1-12, Isaiah 58:11--15 verses with a longer second declaration
Set E: Nahum 1:2-8, Matthew 6:25-34, Matthew 26:31-35--22 verses, putting me ahead by one verse... I'll do less tomorrow.
Phil - I don't know what happened that you weren't able to edit (I saw the problem too), but I was able to edit it (looking at one of the other edit links I could see and updating an parameter), and now it should be working again.
Kaitlyn V - MI - set I - Luke 6:35-38, 2 Peter 1:3-11 = 13 verses.
@Mr. Walker - Okay, I have a problem (it's my problem, not yours) looking through the verses I declared already, I made a mistake by declaring Ephesians 5:15-21 twice. What should I do about that? I was thinking about editing my second comment with it and adding another passage that I know that is the same length. Is that what you would suggest doing? Sorry about that!
Bethany P MO "H" - Psalm 19:7-10, Psalm 116:12-14, Nahum 1:2-8, Philippians 1:27-30 = 18 verses
Alex, thanks so much for fixing my ability to edit and catch up with the chart. Will you be joining us this time around?
Josiah, great to see your Double Declaration day. One more is allowed before you may have to either wait for Laura and/or Bethany to get further ahead, or resort to mere, more boring single declarations.
Nicolas, my spelling error has been resolved. Please forgive my mistake. Your account is now up to date and ready for your hinted at come from behind burst of activity.
Bethany, your solution to the double EPHESIANS 5:15-21 situation sounds great. (Have you tried singing EPH 5:15-21 to "Doe a Deer"? It fits perfectly in the NIV) You may actually have a bigger problem in that you are declaring more than one group as group "G" It may be hard to make it to "T" at the end of the chart if this problem is not fixed.
Thanks for encouraging me with all the Scripture!! I love praying and dreaming of what God may do in your lives through His Word!!
Set J - Titus 3:8; James 2:17-18; Nahum 1:2-8; Acts 12:1-3 = 13 verses
@Mr. Walker - Okay, alright. So, I'll just add in another passage instead of EPHESIANS 5:15-21. Sorry about the mistake. No, I hadn't every tried singing that passage to that song, until you told me. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit the best with the ESV. I will have to try it in the NIV though :)
Oh, silly me! I'm so sorry about all the mistakes that I'm making! I have fixed it to "H" and will try not to do that again.
Bethany P MO "I" - Acts 12:1-5, Romans 10:9-13, 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 James 4:6-10 = 18 verses

Matthew, this is the first I remember seeing your picture. Thanks. Jacky and I always enjoy putting a picture with the names we are praying for.
Kerstel L MN Set G = 2 Corinthians 3:4-6 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 Luke 6:35-38 Romans 8:1-2 = 13 verses.

Oops! On sets H & J I goofed and declared passages (2 Timothy 4:1-2; Hebrews 1:13-14) that I had already declared. I will put down four more verses to make up for it here.
Matthew M - TX - Set N: 1 Samuel 2:7-8, Psalm 84:1-7, Psalm 116:12-14, Isaiah 58:11, Luke 6:35-38 = 17 verses
You're welcome for the picture Phil!
@Mr. Walker - I'm very sorry that I haven't declared for a couple of days. We are out of town right now, so I won't be able to do it till we get back...since I didn't bring my sheets with me.
Also, I don't know if you know that there is page for all the people who made it to Nationals with their pictures (not everyone has put their picture up though). This is the page for the Seniors, but there is also one for the Juniors and Primaries - http://www.biblebee.org/_hostcp/nationalcompetitors_nat.php
Great to see all the declarations! You guys are in our prayers as you memorize and meditate on these verses. It excites me to think of you memorizing this Scripture (especially when you post one of my favorite) as I can't help but believe that God will use His Word powerfully in your lives for years to come!!
Kerestel, is that a new picture of you, or am I just not very observant?
Bethany, thanks for the reminder about the Bible Bee profiles of the finalists. I was on that page the first few days before most of the pictures were up. I'm sure Jacky and I will be going there in the future to see and pray more intelligently and personally for the memverse finalists and other finalists we know and love who we have not yet convinced to join memverse. (My sincere thanks will go out to anyone in Nashville who encourages my good friends Jessica and Julia Hofmeister to join us on memverse.) On a different note, I appreciate your desire to want to declare often and consistently. However, I do hope that you are doing so joyfully and peacefully when it fits best in your schedule. I would be very sad to think that I had made you or anyone else feel obligated to declare.
Yes, it is. My Mom took it (and others for my Bible Bee profile picture) a couple weeks ago. ;)
Kerestel L MN Set I = 1 John 2:28 2 John 1:3 Hebrews 10:19-25 Hebrews 5:7-8 Hebrews 1:13-14 = 13 verses. I now know the rest of 2 Peter 1
@Mr. Walker - You're welcome. No, I'm am felling obligated to declare my verses...instead it's quite the opposite - I really want to, it's helpful to see where I am at in my vereses! I appreciate you letting us do this chart, taking the time to update the page each day, etc. It has been very helpful for me. I feel sorry that I don't do it more consistently though...I will try to do it when I get home. Thank you for all your encouragement on Memverse!
G = Luke 6:35-38, Romans 12:6-12, Romans 12:14-18, Romans 14:17-19 = 19 verses
Matthew M - TX - Set O: Psalm 19:7-10, Psalm 69:4-9, 2 Corinthians 3:4-6 = 13 verses
We have 35 finalists on Memverse so far! I think that's cool.
Actually 36.... :)
Welcome to memverse, Monica. I added you to the list of Junior finalists. If you think it could be helpful and encouraging for you, we would also love to include you on the Accountability chart.
Kerestel L MN Set J = Psalm 118:22-23 Psalm 20:7 = 3 verses
Christian A: "F": Matthew 6:25-34; Nahum 1:2-7; 2 Peter 1:15-16 = 18 verses
Kerestel, I am curious why you only put 3 instead of 13 verses. I saw your earlier comment about 2 PETER. Are you declaring the last 10 verses of 2 PETER as a part of your set J?
Mr.Walker - I would love to be on the the Accountability chart!
Set M - Philippians 1:28-30; Colossians 1:23-24; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18; 1 Thessalonians 5:18; 1 Timothy 1:2; 1 Timothy 1:5; 1 Timothy 1:17 = 13 verses
Mr. Walker - As I was looking through my verses calculating how many more declarations it would take me to finish I realized that I will only be able to go through P and P would have only about 5-7 verses. Is that okay? I thought I was supposed to make it to T. Please tell me what I should do about this problem.
Yes, I am Mr. Walker. And by the way I know all of 2nd Peter (roughly), and also, I know all of my national verses, (if you didn't already know). :)
Kerestel L MN Set K = Psalm 69:4-9 Psalm 34:4-19 = 22 verses.
H = Psalm 69:4-9, 2 Corinthians 3:4-6, 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, Colossians 3:1-4 = 17 verses (I did 19 last time)
Set K - 2 Cor. 3:4-6, 2 Cor. 5:17-21, Eph. 5:15-21, Heb. 10:36-39 = 18 verses.
@Carissa: To answer your question, I will quote Phil: ...I actually changed the rules a little. We are including 2 PETER on this chart. Therefore the new junior declarations are 13 verses. He also said that if you want to, you can declare it as fully studied but not memorized.
And to finish off my 200 and begin with 2 Peter...
Matthew M - TX - Set P: Titus 1:1-3, Hebrews 5:7-8; 2 Peter 1:1-8 = 13 verses
I did memorize those 2 Peter verses.
Monica, good to hear you would like to join us. We will look forward to your first declaration of 13 verses or if you want to catch up, you can follow Josiah's example of a Double declaration of two sets of 13 verses.
Kerestel, Congratulations on finishing the verses. I appreciate you taking the time to join us on the chart and I pray it will be helpful to you as you seek to review and sharpen your verses.
Matthew, thanks for answering Carissa's question: I couldn't have said it better myself.
You guys are a big inspiration to me!! May God bless you as you meditate on and seek to make each passage "November ready"
I'm sorry I've been doing these so slowly and infrequently... but here's a Double Declaration Day!
Nicolas A OH "D" and "E": Psalm 84:1-7; Psalm 116:12-14; Isaiah 53:1-12; Isaiah 58:11 = 26 verses.
It will be a while till my next declaration--these verses are as far as I know with the National verses. I'm starting to doubt that I'll catch up with anyone anytime soon...
@Matthew: Thanks for answering my question. I do have another question though. You said that we are including 2 Peter in this chart. Does that mean that I declare all of 2 Peter as well as memory verses?
Here is my next declartion:
Set N - 2 Timothy 4:1-2; Titus 1:1-3; Titus 3:1-2; Hebrews 1:13-14; Hebrews 5:7-8; Hebrews 10:19-20 = 13 verses
@Mr. Walker: Thanks for creating the chart. Just to let you know, I have memorized all my verses and 2 Peter. I still have mistakes in 2 Peter but I am working on getting those out. Also, I asked you if I could start receiving your newsletter by email. If you would please put me on the list to start receiving it.
Yes, that's right; what I am going to do is declare the rest of 2 Peter 1 for my next declaration, then spread chapters 2 & 3 over the last three. The last declaration is supposed to have 14 verses, since there is 261 verses in all.
Sorry, no declaration, but I just wanted to say that I've finally done my 100th memorization session! I've been on Memverse since June 9, and it has been such a great blessing and benefit to me! I am 90% sure that I would not have made it to Nationals without Memverse, nor would I have finished memorizing all my verses, nor would I be able to retain most of them, like I did last year.
Thank you so much for Memverse!!
GREAT JOB, SBG!!!!
Carissa, yes I put you on the list to receive our next newsletter which I expect to send out in early October. Thanks for requesting it. Jacky and I will look forward to keeping in touch with you.
SavedByGrace, great to see your attitude of gratitude.
Seth, I added you to our list. We would love for you to join our chart.
@Mr. Walker: Thanks for putting me on the list. I can't wait to receive it.
Here is my next declarition:
Set O - Hebrews 10:21-25; James 1:26; James 3:4-5; James 4:6-10 = 13 verses.
@Monica: did you see my question to you? It is on the post about memorizing 1 Peter.
Christian A: Set "G" -- Matthew 26:31-35, 39; Luke 4:16-21; Titus 2:11-13; 2 Peter 1:17-19 = 18 verses.
Hannah d: Set A: 1 Samuel 2:7-8 + Psalm 19:7-10 + Psalm 20:7 + Isaiah 58:11 + Acts 12:1-5 = 13 verses. Set B: Psalm 84:1-7 + Psalm 116:12-14 + Psalm 118:22-23 + Ephesians 3:6 = 13 verses. Set C: Romans 10:9-13 + 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 + Galatians 3:24-25 + Ephesians 4:32 + 1 Thessalonians 5:18 = 13 verses. Set E: Psalm 34:4-19 = 16 verses (to make up for last time). Set F: Ephesians 6:10-18 + Colossians 3:1-4 = 13 verses.
WoW!! That's cool, Rachel. :D Thanks.
Christian A: "H": Luke 6:35-38; John 3:1-3, 10-21 = 19 verses. (I'll try to do seventeen next time.)
Hannah, great to see you joining us. I trust listing those references was a help for you as you review and get them contest ready. Can I know what state you are from to add that to the chart?
Christian Alexander...thanks for what? the big smile? :D
I think he was thanking you for saying congratulations to the National winners. ;)
I'm from Virginia. :) BTW, I just figured out I did two 14 sets (12 + 16). I'll do an 11-verse set next time to make up for the extra verses. Thanks!
Set L - Eph. 1:11-19, Eph. 6:10-18 = 18 verses.
Set L - Philippians 1:27-30, Colossians 4:5-6, 1 Timothy 1:5, 1 Timothy 1:17, 2 Peter 1:15-19 = 13 verses
Set P - 1 John 2:28; 2 John 1:3; 3 John 1:2-4; 2 Peter 1:1-8 = 13 verses
Great to see everyone's declarations. May God richly bless you as you memorize, meditate on and sharpen your mastery of these passages.
Carissa and Matthew: Great work. It looks like this chart might be coming down to another "photo-finish"
Phil W IND Set H = JAMES 4:6-10; 1 JOHN 2:28; 3:17 (one of my favorite reality checks!! But what we do living in a 3rd world country with financial need all around us?); 2 JOHN 1:3; 3 JOHN 1:2-4; REVELATION 21:1-3; PSALM 116:12-14; ISAIAH 58:11.
Finally! I have some time to do a declaration! I'm not in the lead in my group anymore...so, I'm assuming I can do a double declaration :)
Bethany P MO "K" - 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18, 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (The Lord is been teaching me recently I need to be thankful in ALL circumstances!), 1 Timothy 1:2; 1:5; 1:17; 2 Timothy 4:1-2, Titus 3:1-2, Hebrews 1:13-14, Hebrews 5:7-8, James 1:26, 1 John 2:28 = 18
"L" - Hebrews 10:19-25, James 3:4-5, 2 John 1:3, 3 John 1:2-4, Psalm 69:4-9 = 19 verses...I'll do 17 next time.
@Carissa: I just saw it. :)
I = 2 Corinthians 3:12-18, Hebrews 10:10-12, Hebrews 10:36-39, Hebrews 13:15-17 = 18 verses
Set M - Hebrews 10:19-25 (one of my favorite passages!), Titus 3:4-8, Titus 2:11-13, Hebrews 13:15-17 = 18 verses.
Set G: Ephesians 1:11-19 + Romans 8:1-2 = 11 verses.
Set M - Isaiah 53:1-12, 1 Timothy 1:2 = 13 verses
@ Mr. Phil: Felice does have a memverse account. Thomas does not.( I called the Teeters and asked.)
@Caleb Sterling- I didn't know that you were on memverse! What a small world!
(ps-to everyone else, Caleb was at my local contest.)
SET A = Exodus 20:1-17 and Psalm 20:7 = 18 verses
Alex, thanks for adding, "Join Phil's accountability chart" to all the other wonderful things you do on and for memverse. I added the 15 verse half-asleep, late night 2 PETER declaration as your B set, so you owe an extra 3 verses for your C or some future set.
Bethany, yes, your double declaration counted this time. As long as your 2nd declaration is still behind the age group leader I will post both the same day.
Clara, thanks for the information about Felice and Caleb. Are they national finalists? If so, in what age group?
Great job, everyone. You are in my and Jacky's prayers. I think this is a record with 4 Senior Finalists all declaring the same day!
Laura, good to know you love HEBREWS 10:19-25. This is also one of my favorites and one of the first passages I memorized years ago. HEBREWS 10:23-25 in the NIV (sung to "You are my Sunshine") is also one of my all-time favorite Scripture songs that the Stevensons and Hannah Garcia jointly came up with for me. (Stephanie also included it in her 2009 Bible Bee cd.)
Set Q - 2 Peter 1:9-21 = 13 verses
I'm not sure I'm quite understanding how this all works. So far, I have have memorized all the original Bible Bee verses and also all the way to 1 Thessalonians on the additional National Qualifier verses. If I'm understanding this right, I should start posting the verses here in sets of 18..but only two sets per day? And only the additonal National verse?... Is that correct?
If so, then my fist declarations will be
Set A: Exodus 34:2-9+1 Samuel 2:7-8+Psalm 19:7-10+Psalm 20:7+Psalm 116:12-24=18 verses.
Set B: Psalm 34:4-19+Psalm 118:22-23=18 verses.
"A": Psalm 19:7-10, Psalm 20:7, Psalm 118:22-23, Romans 10:9-13, Ephesians 4:32= 13 verses.
"B": 2 Corinthians 9:6-8, Colossians 3:23-24, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18, Luke 6:35-38= 13 verses.
Set Q: 2 Peter 1:9-21 = 13 verses
Yikes, Carissa's getting ahead of me! I better hurry and catch up. :)
J = Isaiah 53:1-12, Titus 3:4-8, 2 Corinthians 4:16 = 18 verses
Christian A "I" -- Acts 12:1-5; Acts 20:35; Acts 26:12-18; Romans 9:17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Peter 2:1 = 17 verses (since I went too far last time).
Bethany P "M" - Psalm 34:4-19, Exodus 34:2. Uh...that didn't work out the best, did it?! Oh, well :)Now I am caught up with Laura :)
@Alex - Glad to see you joining us on the chart!
Wow. Two new joiners the same day. Clara and Seth, it's great to see both of you joining us with a double declaration! Praise God!
Seth, we need the state you are from to complete the chart. You got the information on this chart right. If you want to and feel it would be helpful you can still declare for the original chart (Maybe declaring verses that are "contest ready")
Set R - 2 Peter 2:1-13 = 13 verses
"B": Isaiah 53:1-12= 12 verses
"C": Psalm 34:4-19= 16 verses
Umm... someone spelled my name "Klara". It's "Clara".
K = Ephesians 4:18-24, Ephesians 6:10-18, James 2:17-18 = 18 verses
Bethany P "N" - Exodus 34:3-9, Ephesians 4:18-24, 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 = 18 verses

Set "G": Acts 12:1-5; Romans 10:9-13, 12:6-8 = 13 verses.
Sorry I did half a passage there, but it was the only way to make my declaration even. Next time I'll declare the rest of the passage. :) Thanks again for this chart, Mr. Walker!
L = Titus 2:11-13, 1 Samuel 2:7-8, Psalm 19:7-10, Psalm 84:1-7, Psalm 118:22-23 = 18 verses
Ok, thanks! I'm from Missouri (I was surprised to find out that Missouri is #3 on the leaderboard).
Set C; Psalm 69:4-9 + Psalm 84:1-7 + Luke 6:31-35= 18 verses
Set D: Psalm 121:1-8 + Matthew 6:25-34= 18 verses
@Seth - That's neat that you live in MO..so do I! There was a time when Missouri was #1 on the leaderboard...but then it got moved down some. Maybe we'll be able to get it back up to that sometime in the near future :)
Bethany P MO "O" Isaiah 53:5-12, Luke 6:35-38, Romans 12:6-12 = 19 (I'll do 17 next time)
Set N - Eph. 4:32, Phil. 1:27-30, James 1:3-5 -- I should start on my 2 Peter verses, so I'll declare verses 1-10 of Chapter 1 to start (studied, cross-referenced, key words, and memorized) = 18 verses.
Set S - 2 Peter 2:14-22; 2 Peter 3:1-4 = 13 verses
Edited: Sorry, Mr. Walker. I meant these verses.
I don't really know what I am supposed to do. I finished my National verses last week.....so what do I do now?
Monica...review, review, review!!!! and memorize 1 and 2nd peter... review your 1 peter study, maybe memorize the verses from the study, say your verses to yourself over and over and over until you can say them WORD PERFECT. To bad I can't sit down next to you and help you review the verses ;)
Mr. Walker--I'm just wondering, what letter will the Juniors finish on? I calculated it, and 13 doesn't fit into 200. Do you already have that worked out?
SavedByGrace, everyone finishes the extra verses plus the 61 verses of 2 Peter with their T declaration which is 20 declarations of 13 plus 1 verse for 261 verses for juniors.
Monica, we would love for you to join us declaring your verses on our chart if you think it would be helpful. Maybe you could declare the passages as you feel they are completely "contest ready".
Laura, "studied, cross-referenced, key words, and memorized" sounds pretty impressive. May you get every question they can throw at you from 2 PETER 1:1-10 correct!
@Bethany, Oh, your that Bethany! Your picture on the BB website looks very professional; do you have a photographer in your family? Yes, I'll defidently help work on getting MO back into the #1 position.:) BTW, we got the same score on the written test at locals.
Set E: Isaiah 53:1-12 + Nahum 1:2-8= 19 verses
Set F: Luke 4:16-21 + Luke 6:35-38 + Isaiah 58:11 + Matthew 26:39 + Acts 12:1-5= 17 verses
I see. :) So I guess I'll do my first 2 Peter declaration, then--
Nicolas A OH "H": 2 Peter 1:1-13 = 13 verses.
It's okay if I haven't memorized them, right? I just study them, but I hope that's enough.
Christian A OH "J" -- Romans 10:9-13; Romans 12:6-12, 14-18; 2 Peter 2:2 = 18 verses.
M = Psalm 116:12-14, Isaiah 58:11, Nahum 1:2-8, Acts 12:1-5, Romans 8:1-2 = 18 verses
Sorry, Mr. Walker, I edited my comment and fixed it.
Here is my last set.
Set T - 2 Peter 3:5-18 = 14 verses
Bethany P “P†– Romans 12:14-18, 2 Corinthians 3:4-6, Ephesians 6:10-18 = 17 verses
@Seth – Yes, I am :) My older sister really enjoys photography, and so she was the one who took that picture. The picture is kind of out-of-date since it was taken last year :) But, it had to do, since it was the only one that I like =) Are you, by any chance, going to put your picture up? That’s neat that we got the same written test score!
About 500 more verses need to be memorized before we can move up! It’s not that many, right?! I know that I will be able to memorize a lot today, which I’m excited about :)
I'm only allowed to do 2 declarations per day, right?
@Bethany; Our computer for some reason won't let me put pictures on the internet; it keeps saying that there was an error, a file wasn't found, etc. I had a good picture (by my standards) just for the Bible Bee of me reciting my memory verses to our goats and cow, but I can't get it on :( Maybe it will get fixed in time for me to put the picture up.
500 verses should be fairly easy. I have a couple hundred that I'm 'learning' (which are perfectly memorized), and I'm planning on doing all 1,100 of this year's BB verses if I can, but so far I don't have any classified as "memorized", they're all "learning". How long does is take to get them memorized?! That will leave just 400 to put us on the top.
I have a question; is there any way to do the refferece recall on only selected verses? For instance, I want to work on the references for 1 and 2 Peter, and not all the other ones I'm learning. Is it possible to set it so that it only gives me those verses?
Seth - Two quick things:
1) I've also had the file upload problems on my computer recently. It seems that the latest version(s) of Firefox have some issues; I got around it by using Google Chrome, though Internet Explorer may work just as well. We'd all like to see your "real" smiling face! :)
2) At this point, you can only review references on Memverse that are given to you under the "Reference Recall" part of the memorize tab.
@Seth - Hmmm...that's to bad about the picture :( We use Internet Explorer and it works just fine for us. Hopefully, you will be able to get it up soon! So, I'm taking it, you live on a farm?
The 500 is now down to 400! I got to memorize a lot today, and someone else has been memorizng a lot in MO :) I'm learning about 375 in my account right now, which, I hope, I'll be able to memorize soon! I hope that you will be able to memorize a lot soon, too. How is the studying goin going on National verses? It depends on how long it takes to memorize a verse, on how you rate it. But, your interval has to be 31 or higher to be classified as "Memorized" :)
I believe that you can declare more than two, so long as you are not in the lead :)
Seth, I like your smiling face :) I have another account on Memverse, in which I look AWFUL!!!!! I have big teeth hanging out of my face. :(
What is my smiling face? Just to the left of everybody's comments, where I think pictures should be, I can only see a red "X" and a bunch of letters and numbers.
I just wanted to say that it is Great to see the Answers in Genesis program posting a church group ! And on a friendlier note good luck to Missouri on reaching the top as a state ! Although I don't think there is such a thing as luck but that is another story.
Seth...you're light green, with glasses and a nice smile :D
@Seth--I had the exact same problem on another computer once. Hmm...
@Bethany and Seth--I would encourage you, and I will, but of course, I don't want you to get too far up the State Leaderboard, because my state (OH) is #1 as of now... ;)
Green???!!! um, Ok.
SavedByGrace, as soon as my verses start being memorized...
Y'all are doing great! Keep up all the memorizing, Bible Bees!
Let's take a moment to give a big 'Thank you' to the people behind Memverse who make this such a helpful memorization aid, and Mr. Walker for all his encouragement for learning Bible Bee verses.
***Thanks to each of you!!!***
@Seth--Since you seem like you certainly want to memorize God's Word, check out the recent post "Memory Verses--the Entire Bible?" and see what it says. I'd be happy to add you to my list if you are willing. It is a huge responsibility, but isn't it worth it? We've only got one life here--why not make the most out of it as we can? :)
And yes, thank you to all who make Memverse possible and for keeping us wanting to memorize!
Mr.Walker - Here is my first declaration! Set A = Ephesians 1:11-19, James 3:4-5 and Ephesians 4:32 = 13 verses :D
N = Psalm 20:7, Romans 10:9-13, 2 Corinthians 9:6-8, Ephesians 1:11-19 = 18 verses
Set R: 2 Peter 2:1-13 = 13 verses
SavedByGrace- I've thought about joining your group, but I really don't think I'll memorize the entire Bible. But I really appreciate the fact that there are so many people in your group that have decided to do it.
Since I'm not in the lead, I'm going to declare several sets. Mr. Walker, of you would like to keep it down to 1 or 2, just let me know.
Set G: John 3:1-3 + John 3:10-21 + Acts 20:35 + Romans 8:1-2= 18 verses.
Set H: Acts 26:12-18 + Romans 8:26-28 + Romans 9:17 + Romans 12:6-12= 18 verses
Set I: Romans 10:9-13 + Romans 14:17-19 + 2 Corinthians 3:4-6 + 2 Corinthians 3:12-18= 18 verses
Set J: Romans 12:14-18 + 2 Corinthians 4:16 + 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 + 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 + 2 Corinthians 12:7-10= 18 verses
Set K: Galatians 3:24-25 + Ephesians 1:11-19 + Ephesians 4:18-24= 18 verses
Set L: Ephesians 3:6 + Ephesians 4:32 + Ephesians 5:15-21 + Ephesians 6:10-18= 18 verses
Set M: Philipians 1:27-30 + Colossians 3:1-4 + Colossians 3:23-24 + Colossians 4:5-6 + 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 + 1 Thessalonians 5:18 + 1 Timothy 1:2= 18 verses
Set N: 1 Timothy 1:5 + 1 Timothy 1:17 + 2 Timothy 4:1-2 + Titus 1:1-3 + Titus 2:3-5 + Titus 2:11-13 + Titus 3:4-8= 18 verses
For some reason, Hebrews is really difficult for me to memorize. That might stop me for a little while.
Bethany P "Q" - Col. 3:1-4, Col. 4:5-6, Titus 2:11-13, Titus 3:4-8, James 2:17-18 = 16 verses...what letter am I suppose to go to? I finished declaring all my verses (except for 2 Peter) and I thought I was suppose to go to a farther letter than this....
@Seth - Only a couple declarations?! You did a lot more than "a couple". I'm thinking that Mr. Walker won't mind putting them all down, because you are behind the people in the lead. Only 400 more left till we move up one :) I don't think I'll be memorizing any for a little while...but when I do, watch out everyone :)
Monica, thanks much for joining the chart. I hope you find it helpful as you review and declare the references in preparing for Nashville. Can you please give us your state for me to include on the chart?
Bethany, you are 3 declarations in 2 PETER away from finishing the chart with T
Seth, my apology for not answering your previous question sooner. We prefer a maximum of 2 declarations per day for those who are catching up. We will change this in a couple weeks to give new people just joining ample time to complete the chart. However, we do not want to be legalistic in any way and seek to serve everyone with whatever works best for them. I trust it was helpful for you as you posted your references. Now that you are among the elite leaders for your group, please post a maximum of only one single declaration of 18 verses per day from this point on. Thanks again for jumping in and joining us on the chart and other areas of memverse.
Clara, I was the "somebody" who spelled your name wrong. Please forgive me!
Mr. Walker - I'll keep the declarations down now:)
Set O: Hebrews 1:13-14 + Hebrews 5:7-8 + Hebrews 9:26-28 + Hebrews 10:10-12 + Hebrews 10:19-25 + Hebrews 10:36-39= 21 verses (I'll do 15 next time).
@Bethany- In my antecedent comment I utilized to my advantage the expression several, not a couple. A 'couple' by definition indicates two; 'several' is a distinct expression used to indicate an aggregate of unknown quanity; more extensive than an enumerate one or two but not of a considerable amount. My apologies if this seems loquacious:)
Set O - Ephesians 4:18-24 + 2 Peter 1:11-21 studied, key word-ed, cross-referenced, and memorized. = 18 verses. Thanks Mr. Walker for the encouragement!
ooops sorry Mr. Walker my state is TX.
Bethany P "R" - 2 Peter 1:1-18 = 18 verses ("Fully Studied, key worded-ed, cross-referenced, and memorized"...as Laura puts it)
@Seth - In my above comment, when I told you that you had done more than a "couple"...I was just joking. I wasn't trying to be rude in any way, I hope it didn't come across that way to you. Please forgive me if it did!
@Bethany- I know you were joking, I was too. My last comment was not supposed to sound irritated; please forgive me if it did. That was supposed to sound pretendidly indignant, I'm not upset in any way. I'm looking forward to seeing you at Nationals!
@Seth - Good, I'm glad you knew that I was joking. I was assuming you were to, when you used the smiley :) To tell the truth, I did have to look up a few words that you used, to make sure I knew what they meant =) Wow! Good job on memorizing lots of the Hebrew passages! You mentioned in an above comment that it might be difficult to memorize those, but it looks like you got them memorized! I had the most difficulty memorizing the Corinthian passages...
Sometimes I just like to talk like that. I've gotten quite some comments. I've even been asked if I'm going to major in English:)
I added the smiley later, I should have put it in the original. Yes, I had some trouble with Corinthians too. Still, I think Hebrews is the hardest, with 1 and 2 Peter close behind (yes, I know, that's just great when we're supposed to bu studying them.) John's writings (gospel of John, 1,2,3 John, and Revelation) seem to be the easiest for me to memorize. What about you?
Christian A -- OH "K" -- Romans 14:17-19; 2 Corinthians 3:4-6; 2 Corinthians 4:16; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; 2 Peter 2:3-8 = 18 verses.
No kidding about the Corinthians passages being hard! I'm finally on the last one, after being stuck on them for longer than I would have liked. :) But you must memorize much faster than me, because I'm still back at 2 Corinthians and haven't even begun to memorize anything beyond that! Congratulations to all of you who are way ahead of me. :) Anyway, here are my next two declarations--
Nicolas A OH "I": Romans 12:9-12 (the rest of the passage I didn't finish two declarations ago), 12:14-18, 14:17-19; 2 Peter 1:14 = 13 verses.
Set "J": 2 Corinthians 3:4-6, 9:6-8; 2 Peter 1:15-21 = 13 verses.
O = Hebrews 10:19-25, Ephesians 3:6, Ephesians 4:32, Philippians 1:27-30, Colossians 3:23-24, Titus 1:1-3 = 18 verses
Set O - Titus 1:1-3, Titus 2:11-13, Titus 3:4-8, Hebrews 1:13-14 = 13 verses
Set P - James 4:6-10, Col. 3:1-4, 3:23-24,4:5-6, 1 Tim. 1:17, James 2:17-18, Hebrews 1:13-14 = 18 verses.
Bethany P "S" - 2 Peter 1:19-21; 2 Peter 2:1-15 = 18 verses
@Seth - I have the hardest with Ephesians, 1 and 2 Corinthians and Ezekial...or any Minor Prophet, except for Daniel :) I find the easiest to memorize are the Gspels, Acts, Philippians and James :) One thing I have found very helpful is reading the book over and over (in this case, 2 Peter) That will get you familiar with it, and bring out things you might not have noticed before. Doing this, I have started to notice lots of things that I did realize about before!
Great to see all the declarations, especially with the senior group. Has anyone checked out the new Scripture Memory game? I will soon start putting up some of the Bible Bee passages on there.
P = Galatians 3:24-25, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18, 1 Thessalonians 5:18, 1 Timothy 1:2, 1 Timothy 1:5, 1 Timothy 1:17, 2 Timothy 4:1-2, Titus 3:1-2, Hebrews 1:13-14, Hebrews 5:7-8 = 18 verses
Agreed Bethany :) BTW...how many verses did you do a day before Locals?
Bethany P "T" - 2 Peter 2:16-22, 2 Peter 3:1-11 = 18 verses
CONGRATULATIONS, ALEX, ON MEMORIZING YOUR 1,000 VERSE! GOOD JOB!
@Rachel Crosswhite - I'm not sure I get what you wrote. What are we agreed about? Also, what do you mean when you say "how many verses did you do a day before Locals"?
Double Declaration Day!!!! :D
Set B: Isaiah 53:1-12, 1 Timothy 1:17
Set C: Ephesians 6:10-18, Luke 6:35-38
Monica, great to see you taking over our Double Declaration Day tradition.
Carissa, I owe you a belated, "CONGRATULATIONS on being our first finisher. You have been in Jacky and my daily prayers since Wednesday (Tues your time) when you finished. I wish you all the best as you sharpen the passages for Nashville and also as you meditate on God's awesome Word!
Bethany, I praise God for your faithfulness in completing both charts. Jacky and I will be daily praying for you. (You can let your brother David know that his name tends to get slipped into the prayer most days as well.) May God bless your family as you get ready for the competition, and then thousands of times more importantly, as you continue to pursue knowing and living for God.
Set C = 1 Samuel 2:7-8 (2 verses) + Psalm 19:7-10 (4 verses) + Psalm 84:1-7 (7 verses) + Romans 8:1-2 (2 verses) + 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (3 verses) = 18 verses
Congratulations, Carissa, on being the first finisher!
Set P - Psalm 84:1-7, 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, Hebrews 1:13-14 = 13 verses
@Mr. Walker - Oh, I finished the chart?! I didn't know that I had, until, while I was scrolling down, I saw your comment under my name on the chart! I know why I was confused. Do you remember how I told you that I had declared Ephesians 5:15-21 twice? Well, I thought I had corrected it early, but looking back, I realized that I hadn't. So, I just added my remaining 7 verses of 2 Peter instead of the second declaration of Ephesians 5:15-21. Sorry if that didn't make any sense...
Maybe I should take Alex's idea next time (if I ever have to declare anymore) and add up how many verses I'm declaring. That way, I won't always get messed up :) Thank you for praying for me and my siblings (and lots of the BB contestants) as we prepare for Nationals. It is truly appreciated!
Bethany: How many verses did you memorize a day before the Local Contest? And how many are you doing now?
Rachel Crosswhite - Oh, I see what you're saying :) I was memorizing about 17 or so a day. But I had them all memorized the day before (actually, a couple weeks before) Locals...so, I didn't memorize any that day. I have all my new verses learned, and so I don't need to memorize right now. I'm trying to go through about half a them a day, and it's keeping me quite busy! Are you going to do National Track next year?! You would enjoy it =)
Congratulations, Christian, on memorizing your 1,000th verse!
set Q = Ephesians 3:6, James 2:17-18, 2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Peter 2:1-8 = 13 verses
Bethany: I'm thinking about it :) How long did it take you to memorize+study each day?
@Rachel - You would really enjoy it, if you did it =) One thing that I would suggest doing, if you do want to do it, is to keep memorizing verses regularly, so that when you do have to memorize 13 a day, it won't be as hard. The first day I started, I only memorized 4 verses! I spend several hours on it each day. Congratulations on memorizing your 100th verse! Great job...only 100 more to go :)
Set P: Hebrews 13:15-17 + James 1:3-5 + James 2:17-18 + James 3:4-5 + James 4:6-10= 15 verses (I did 21 last time).
Bethany, you seem to be preparing well for November. Do you think it is likely you'll get into the top 15, or even top 5?
Mr. Walker, I'm from MO.
Christian A. OH "L" : 2 Corinthians 3:12-18; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8; 2 Corinthians 12:7-10; Galatians 3:24-25; 2 Peter 2:9-10 = 18 verses.
Set R = Hebrews 1:13-14, Hebrews 10:19-25, James 3:4-5, 2 Peter 2:9-10 = 13 verses
Q = James 1:26, James 3:4-5, James 4:6-10, 1 John 2:28, 2 John 1:3, 3 John 1:2-4, 2 Peter 1:1-5 = 18 verses
Set Q: James 1:26 + 1 John 2:28 + 1 John 3:17 + 2 John 1:3 + 3 John 1:2-4 + Revelation 21:1-3 + 2 Peter 1:1-8= 18 verses.
@Mr. Walker, The blog says that I declared my last set (P) early this morning at 3am, but I declared it yesterday at about 10pm (I'm generally in bed at 3 in the morning:). Does memverse have a different time zone or something? Anyways, I did declare them on different days in Missouri time. :)
Seth - Memverse uses UTC for the times. :)
Nicolas A OH "K": 2 Corinthians 12:7-10; Ephesians 1:11-16 = 13 verses.
I always wondered why the time was so strange... :)
I just wanted to say Congratulations to Seth Lehman for memorizing some verses on Memverse! I just added you to the list of Senior Bible Bee finalists who use Memverse.
If anyone knows of any others we may have missed, please let us know. If you see that your name isn't on the list and should be, we would like to know that too and we'll fix it quickly! Thanks :)
@Seth - Thank you. I don't know at times, if my studying is enough, or if I should be working harder at it :) A verse that I have thought a lot about while I prepare for Nationals (which my dad brought to my mind) is Proverbs 16:1 - "The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD." I am preparing for Nationals, but it is from the Lord if He wishes to bless my preparations.
BTW, Good job on almost finishing the chart! You're almost there...just three more letters to go :)
Seth, sorry for not having posted your state. You had told me that some time back.
Hannah, I have you on the chart as having declared through set G. Do you have other declarations that I missed.
Last chart we had 6 completers. It looks like we might pass that this time. Praise God.
You are in our prayers as you sharpen the Scripture for Nashville and as you meditate on God through His Word.
Set R: 2 Peter 1:9-21 + 2 Peter 2:1-5= 18 verses
Laura H - Set Q - 1 John 2:28, 3:17, 2 John 1:3, Titus 2:3-5, 3 John 1:2-4, Heb. 9:26-28, Rev. 21:1-3, + 2 Peter. 2:1-3 = 18 verses.
Congrats Bethany for completing the chart!
Mr. Walker, looking back I discovered that I accidentally declared Hebrews 1:13-14 three times. To make up for the extra 4 verses I'm declaring 17 verses this time. Sorry.
Set S = James 4:6-10, 2 Peter 2:11-22 = 17 verses
Grace M - Set C - Romans 12:14-18, 2 Corinthians 3:12-18, Ephesians 4:18-24 = 20 verses
Set D - Psalm 34:4-19 = 16 verses
Sorry they're uneven :)
@Seth - Did your family host a local group this year? Just wondering...
No declaration... because our family was on vacation this week and I haven't gotten on Memverse or done much studying at all this week. Congrats to all those who made it ahead of me! :) I will be at the end soon, I promise.
Okay, I found two more people who qualified for Nationals and are on Memverse - Elanee Smythe and Hannah Leary. Thanks for adding them :)
Set S: 2 Peter 2:6-22 + 2 Peter 3:1-2= 18 verses.
@Bethany - No, we didn't. We went to the one in Osceola. Did your family host one? Oh, I guess not...you must have gone to the Red Bridge Church of Christ one. Any particular reason you thought we might have hosted one?
Great to see so many close to joining the sisters in the finisher's circle. Can we surpass the 6 finishers of the last chart?
Seth, is your Dad jumping in to help you finish the chart?
Matthew, I hope you had a good family vacation week. We have missed your regular declarations. Here is your welcome back math problem, "What is the product of two numbers whose sum is 2 and whose difference is 1?" (If you hate math. we will have a different welcome back question next time)
@Mr. Walker--Yikes, that's a hard one. Is there usually a "Welcome Back" question, or have I just been missing them? I almost wish I could go on vacation now... :)
Set T: 2 Peter 3:3-18= 16 verses...This should be my final declaration, but I seem too be a few verses short; I must have skipped a passage somewhere. Well, I did memorize all my verses and 2 Peter.
Is the 'welcome back question' just for Matthew? Or is it a anwer-it-who-can question?
@Mr. Walker - Actually, 'Mr. Walley' is me also:). I created a second memverse account just for cross-references for 2 Peter under the username Mr. Walley, I must have posted something while on that account. Anyways, that's me:)
@Phil: Actually, I love math! Your question did take some thinking, but I got the answer, without a calculator. Your two numbers are 0.5 and 1.5 and the product is 0.75.
@SavedByGrace: Don't wish it, buddy. Courtney and I did not get any reviewing done for a full week, and now both of us are having trouble catching up. :)
Oh yeah, I forgot my declaration! Here it is:
Set S: 2 Peter 2:14-21, 3:9-12 = 13 verses
I have not quite memorized 2:14-21 but plan to soon. As for 3:9-12, I have had them memorized since the first BB ever, so I thought it safe to declare them here even though I'm just starting on my study of Chapter 3.
CONGRATULATIONS Seth on finishing the chart. You (along with Carissa and Bethany) will be in Jacky and my daily prayers as you sharpen your mastery of all 1,100 verses and study 1 and 2 PETER. We also are praying that God will use many of these verses powerfully in your life even long after Nashville.
Neat to see the interest in the first welcome back math problem. I will move future math problems to other blog topics so as not to upset the starter of this topic and to follow my own guidelines about not posting off topic.
Go everyone! @Phil, I think it would be great if we could select the verses we wanted to be tested on. That way we could work more on verses we struggle with.
P.S. Seth Lehman's sister Abigail is a Primary finalist
Does Abigail have a memverse account so we can list her as a memverse finalist?
@Phil yes she does.
Nicolas A OH "L": Galatians 3:24-25; Ephesians 3:6; Ephesians 4:18-24; 2 Peter 2:1-3 = 13 verses.
Set "M": Ephesians 4:32; Ephesians 6:10-18; 2 Peter 2:3-6 = 13 verses.
I just have 91 more to declare! Of course, that's going to take a while... :)
Christian A OH "M": Ephesians 1:11-19; Ephesians 3:6; Ephesians 5:15-21; 2 Peter 2:11 = 18 verses.
"N": Ephesians 6:10-18; 2 Peter 2:12-20 = 18 verses.
Set T = Galatians 3:24-25, Titus 3:1-2, Hebrews 5:7-8, James 1:26, 2 John 1:3, 3 John 1:2-4 = 11 verses
Set R - 2 Peter 2:4-22 = 19 verses.
CONGRATULATIONS, Kaitlyn, on being the 4th finisher!! I trust it was helpful to you as you get ready for Nationals.
You are in Jacky and my daily prayers as you sharpen all 700 verses for Nashville and study 1 and 2 PETER. More than that, we pray that God will speak powerfully in your life as you meditate on His Word and keep and treasure many of these 2011 Bible Bee verses for years to come.
Please tell your family I said "Hi"
Can we get more than the 6 finishers we had on the first chart?
Congratulations, Seth and Kaitlyn, on finishing the chart!
Matthew, Stephanie, Laura and Christian are also very close to finishing up...
@Phi, even though I did not do any declarations I am finished memorizing all the verses.
I am close to being finished. I hope to be done by the end of this month.
I have not made any declarations but I will let you know when I am done.
Thanks for this great program!
Monica D TX Set D & E = 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18; James 4:6-10; Romans 10:9-13; 2 Timothy 4:1-2; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8; Romans 12:6-12 = 26 verses!! :D
Thomas and Marie, thanks for the heads up. Glad to hear the verses are going well.
If you think it would be beneficial and/or encouraging to you, we would still love for you to complete the chart. Maybe you can turn it into your "Passages that are Nashville ready" chart and only declare passages that you can easily quote word perfect without hesitation or error or recent (last 24 hours) review.
With Finals less than 4 weeks away, we are now giving our full blessing to those who want to make 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 declarations in one day. As always, we are not legalistic and will accept even more declarations in a day if you feel that would help you best, or if you just want to do it that way, but we advise a max. of 5 per day. (20 declarations completes the chart)
Joshua Bontrager is in Junior division (he just joined memverse),
And Lexi LaFleur is in primary division (some of her family is on memverse)
these 2 friends of mine plus myself are the IA representatives to Nationals :)
Marie, thanks for the heads-up on Joshua and Lexi. If Lexi opens her own account we will put her on the list.
It is neat that you are friends with all the IA representatives to Nationals. Are you all from the same church?
R = 2 Peter 1:6-21, 2 Peter 2:1-2 = 18 verses
Hey!!! I didn't know Joshua was on Memverse. He is my cousin!
I have redone the 2 Peter Greek Word StudyStack - here's the current link http://www.studystack.com/flashcard-734489 - there's 44 Greek words!! You can study the Greek words using the flashcards, matching game, crossword, hangman, bug match and more!! Can you please, if you check it out, star the StudyStack on the upper right corner of the box?
I just made a quizlet that should include most key words from 2 Peter
This is meant as a study list (maybe too many terms for a game)
Please let me know if there are other words I can add to make it more complete or iff you notice any errors
Thanks, Marie; that looks great!
S = 2 Peter 2:3-20 = 18 verses
Nicolas A OH "N": Philippians 1:27-30; Colossians 3:1-4, 23-24, 4:5-6; 1 Thessalonians 5:18 = 13 verses.
Nicolas A OH "O": 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18; 1 Timothy 1:2, 5, 17; 2 Peter 2:7-12 = 13 verses.
I nearly forgot about declaring. :D Now I'm only 65 verses away!
@Zachary and Marie, Thanks a lot for the links. I tried both of them and was impressed. I recommend that other contestants use them as well.
Thank's Thomas, and thank you, Marie for the Quizlet!
Here is a link for keyword flashcards for I Peter and part of II Peter. http://www.studystack.com/flashcard-744980 I am not completely finished with it, but it is a start. A big thanks to Zachary Bass for making an initial stack, and for sharing this website!
So...I realized that I didn't post the link in my first comment. Here it is http://www.studystack.com/flashcard-744980
Finally, I get to finish the chart!
Set T: 2 Peter 3:1-8, 13-18 = 14 verses
Hello fellow Bible Bee Finalists,
I am excited to inform you that I am in the middle of working on a practice written test. It will be the standard 200 questions long. I expect to be done Thursday or Friday, or at the latest Saturday. I will get more information to you soon.
Congratulations on finishing the chart, Matthew!
Melody and I will look forward to your practice test :) My sister Anna has also taken up the task of collating a written test from questions submitted by 7 or 8 finalist families in our area. I might be able to post a link to it when she's done (in about a week).
Matthew, CONGRATULATIONS on being the 5th finalist to complete this chart of 261 verses. You are in Jacky and my daily prayers as you sharpen all 700 verses for Nashville and study 1 and 2 PETER. More than that, we pray that God will speak powerfully in your life as you meditate on His Word and keep and treasure many of these 2011 Bible Bee verses for years to come.
Looking forward to seeing your practice written test. Thanks so much for doing that. Grace, I would also love to see the one your sister is compiling. If anyone else has practice tests or practice questions made up, I would love to see them and pass them on.
Thumbs up, Matthew! I like :-)
Triple declaration!! :D
Monica D TX Set F& G = 1 Samuel 2:7-8; Psalm 19:7-10; Psalm 20:7; Psalm 84:1-7; Psalm 116:12-14; Psalm 118:22-23; Isaiah 58:11; Acts 12:1-5; Romans 8:1-2; Galatians 3:24-25; Ephesians 3:6; Colossians 3:23-24; 1 Thessaloians 5:18; Titus 3:1-2; Hebrews 1:13-14; Hebrew 5:7-8 = 39 verses!!
For those who are wondering, I will have the test in two editions: Junior and Senior. I am not making one for Primary because there is not any finalists on Memverse that I can see are active. The Senior edition will have 16 different questions about Level 3 verses; otherwise, Junior and Senior will be the same.
I started out making this test for Courtney and a Senior finalist from our locals, Joshua Smithe, but then I thought What a great thing to share about on Memverse! It actually is good studying for me too, making all those questions and all. Makes me really think about it. :)
Mattew, the practice test sounds great! I look forward to seing what type of questions you come up with.
@Matthew - Congratulations on finishing the chart! Good job :) I'll be looking forward to the test! Thanks for taking the time to make one for us all.
Set S - 2 Peter 3:1-18 studied, memorized, etc.
Congratulations everyone who finished ahead of me! I am looking forward to Nationals and maybe meeting some of you.
Laura, I see you finished declaring 2 PETER. Do you still have 18 more verses to declare to finish at T or did we lose count somewhere?
I just noticed that everyone else kept going to T. :) However, I've memorized all the verses. I'll have to check and see which ones I forgot to declare.
Also, in the blog post, it appears that all the chart completers only got to T. Or is the T part of "Thanks" ?
For all interested, I just finished making flashcards of the cross references from I Peter. I hope this is helpful! http://www.studystack.com/flashcards-749042
Congratulations to all the finishers!
Matthew & Grace - I'm looking forward to seeing your practice tests. Thanks for being willing to share!
Thomas - That looks great. I'm amazed by all the Bible Bee study materials on Quizlet and Study Stack. Thanks!
Nicolas A OH "P": 2 Timothy 4:1-2; Titus 1:1-3; Titus 2:11-13; Titus 3:1-2; 2 Peter 2:13-15 = 13 verses.

Laura, CONGRATULATIONS for being the 6th completer of this chart of 361 verses. You are in Jacky and my daily prayers as you sharpen all 1,100 verses for Nashville and study 1 and 2 PETER. PS Don't worry about finding the "missing" 18 verses
Here is a link for the cross references in II Peter 1. I hope to have chapters two and three done before long. http://www.studystack.com/flashcards-750689
Monica D TX Set I,J&K = Exodus 34:2-9; Psalm 34:4-19; Romans 12:14-18; 1 Timothy 1:5; Psalm 69:4-9; Romans 14:17-19 = 39 verses! :)
Thanks Mr. Walker. This chart has been very helpful to me. I love the comaraderie!
Hi all national qualifiers,
My family is looking for someone to share a hotel room with at the Nashville Renaissance Hotel. We are one person over the five in a room limit (we have six in our family). Right now we only have one room reserved at the Renaissance, since we didn't know beforehand that two members of our family could go. So now we're kind of stuck, since we have 6 people going to Nationals and only one room reserved. All we need is room for one extra person in your room (who would only be sleeping there and returning to our room in the morning). So if you would be willing to fit one extra person in your room (or in a second room you might have reserved, if you have over 5 people staying at the hotel), we would be more than willing to share the cost of the room.
PLEASE consider this! I'm sure Tammy McMahan will be able to work things out if you are willing to share a room. Keep in mind that we would share the cost of the room, saving both of our families money. If this is even a slight possibility for you, please email us (the Guillard family) at: email@example.com; or reply to this comment. Thank you so much!!!

Two more declarations! I've got to finish fast...
"S":1 John 2:28; 2 John 1:3; 3 John 1:2-4; 2 Peter 3:2-9 = 13 verses.
One more! It will be coming soon, maybe Monday. :)

Thanks so much for coordinating this chart, Mr. Walker! It's been helpful. =)
We're leaving tomorrow! I am so excited! I don't think I'll be on Memverse again after today until early December, so I guess this is goodbye, until Wednesday. Looking forward to meeting you all! Study hard, do your best and remember that the true treasure is God's Word hidden in your heart!
@Laura - Congratuations on finishing the chart! Good job =) I'm sorry that it took me so long to tell you...but I guess "better late than never" :) I'm am looking forward to meeting you in just a couple of days!
Thank you for your words of encouragement, Matthew! I'm looking forward to meeting all of you in 3 days =)
Can I just declare them all? I have all of them memorized! BTW - we are on the road toward Nationals! :D :D
I have finished all the verses!!
See you all wednesday!

Congratulations, SavedByGrace, for persevering and being the 8th finalist to complete the chart!! You are in Jacky and my prayers. Can't wait to meet you and others this weekend. May God get all the glory as you study and perform in the competition.
Most importantly, may God get even more glory as He uses these Scriptures powerfully in your life and in the lives of those you impact for years to come!!
Nice seeing you today Mr. Walker, along with everyone else I met.
Will we be having an accountability chart for this year's Bible Bee?
...because if you don't want to go to the trouble of checking on it every day Phil, I can do it on the forums if that's okay.
*sniff* Congratulations everyone! Can't wait to actually find out who the National Competitors are!
Now if you'll exuse me, I must go find a box of tissues...*tears* jk :)
