You know, I don't think I'm even gonna try to catch up on all this conversation. :PIt's just the changes which you already know. :P
Precisely. :P
InSoloChristo
The changes they're making are pretty big, but in a way, they're not that significant, in my opinion. Just requires some slight adaptation. My sister, on the other hand, is really torn up about everything. :P

Well, they first said you didn't, and then they did, so I'm confused. =PSomeone asked a question about that and they said that you still had to do that... I don't know, maybe I'm wrong...I thought they said you didn't have to do that...? I hope that's the case though. If you want to go to nationals you still have to do the reciting in front of your parents or two other people.True :( I'm really nervous about not having the verses in advance though. I could handle only receiving the study one week at a time, but the verses is completely different! There's no way I would know them well enough :(At least though, there isn't any oral testing. ;)
They answered several questions like that… At first they said we definitely wouldn't be studying the same book as the SS and then they said they weren't sure. And then they said they definitely weren't releasing a list of the questions on the test beforehand, and then they said they were… :P

They are symbolically significant.

Yeah, they're not that bad anymore. I'm just sad we can't start on June 1. But I understand.

I asked one of the questions about that… xP I don't think they will, or else the whole competition system will be liable to shut down…

All you really have to know is that the Bible Bee has changed an umptillion things, and everyone is wishing they were back in the good old days of the McMahan dynasty when they never changed anything suddenly and without explanation.

I tend to agree as well, though I think said dynasty is already being reminisced upon through rose-colored glasses. For once I am grateful to be an alumni.

Many people complain when the McMahan's make changes. Then they get some changes made that they want and so they switch to complaining about the new people. Seriously. Sheesh.

I seem to remember that most of the complaining from the good old days was also when they instituted changes.

MISPLACED APOSTROPHE ALERT! MISPLACED APOSTROPHE ALERT! EVACUATE QUICKLY EVERYONE WHILE WE EXTERMINATE IT!
SavedByGrace

I'm very sorry; I didn't mean for that to sound as harsh as it came out. :-/ But I mean this: I, for one, did not complain much about the changes the McMahans made. They were fairly minor in the long run, and they were explained well. These are abrupt and have no good reason behind them. And in fact, I have good reason to believe that the reasons behind these changes are far from good. But I will refrain from saying anything else about it at the moment. I think you'll hear some things from our parents later, Carissa.

No; I did say it in a rougher way than was necessary. But I do think you should consider these changes as more weighty than the changes made in 2013 and 14. They have far greater implications.

If you say so. :P But the main point of what I'm saying is that you should be more wary of what's going on in BB, for reasons I can't explain right now. Can you do that, please? :)
