I agree, I love the verses they selected this year! Thanks for answering Bethany! I'm just curious about that…and that's what Seniors will be doing if they qualify for National Level. :)

We got to exactly the same boxes also. And so did two other families in our bee. So that's a little strange…

Yikes! That's what I'M going to be doing? (if I make it) :) But seriously… 600 verses in 11 weeks is a lot! More than I've ever done. But of course, I'll probably already know quite a few.

@Matthew – Well, look at it this way….

If you don't know any verses when you get the 600, and you want them done in 10 weeks (that way you aren't learning any the last day), You have to memorize about 8 a day. Now, isn't that what you did last year?!

And, if you already know 100 of the National Verses, you'll have to learn about 7 a day…not that bad, is it?

Push yourself, and you'll be amazed at what you can do :) And…enjoy it in the process…it's lots of fun!

"Push yourself, and you'll be amazed at what you can do :)" Last year, Juniors were supposed to do about 6 verses a day. But you're right, Bethany; when there's a will, there's a way. I will just have to strengthen my "memory muscle" a bit more. :)

@Matthew – Yup, that's right; Juniors only had to learn 6 a day? I was thinking it was 8, but I can be wrong :) But, then again, you were a Junior and I wasn't, so you are right.

Actually, I thought it was eight verses too… and I was a Junior! :) It sure felt like eight to me! ;D

@Bethany P, and SBG: I think it was 6 verses if you memorized everyday, 8 if you took the weekends off.

Just got ours today!
SOOOO excited!!!! =)

Senior Qualifiers will be memorizing about 13 a day if doing memorizing 5 days a week, 11 if Mon-Sat, and about 10 if EVERYDAY. I think I got those calculations right…. :)

@everybody…did anyone else get double boxes? We did and some friends at church did as well.

Anyway, we got an e-mail saying that several double boxes got sent out, and that we'd get a notification from ups concerning when we should send them back. Or something like that.

Yep, we got two boxes, and so did two other people in our Bible Bee.

Does anybody want to have an accountability chart like we had for last year here on Memverse? I need to make sure there is interest before I commit to doing it, since I haven't got any answer from Phil. Or Phil, if you see this and you want to manage the chart, please just leave a comment and I'll turn it over to you.

@Horse Lover - wait, you kept your extra box? We had to return ours. (At least in theory.) They said to put it out for the UPS man to pick up, but they haven't picked it up yet.

Last year, we got an extra box, and we got to keep it :)

I like the new card design and am so grateful that there isn't so much to memorize this year. I had trouble each year keeping up with everything.

You know, they're probably going to come early this year, because June 1 falls on a Saturday. But the rules state that we're not supposed to open them until June 1st. Um, how are we not going to??????????????????????????????? :) ;)

I think last year some people opened their boxes early…

We didn't get ours until like the 4th or something…the joys of living on the West coast.

In 2011 (the first year we participated) we didn't get ours until the 6th!!

Wow, yeah, in 2010 and 2011 they were pretty late for us!

I think we got ours on June 1st last year (oh, the joys of living close to BBHQ… :D JK), but I'm not sure. I can't wait until the boxes come again!! :D
