WE GOT OUR BOX!!!! It was just there when we came back from our little trip to Canyon Lake. I have no idea what time it came in.
I think we're probably going to get up about 6 to open the box. I wonder how am I going to wait for 14 more hours?? I'm going to bed early tonight, that will make it seem faster. :)

Yay, yay, yay!!! I've tried going to bed early…and I just end up being awake later than I would have anyway. :-/ Hopefully it works for you though!!

Make sure there's a knife conveniently pointing up when you drop it. It just might cut open the box!

Oh, yeah, good idea! I'll make my knife "accidentally" fall out of my pocket just before I drop the box. And hey - how about if I drop the box while descending the staircase?

Our box just arrived! We're super excited! :D Our plan is to stay up till midnight watching movies, and then open the box at midnight -because it technically will be June 1st. :) Do you think that's allowed?

Great! I'm so happy that a lot of people are getting their box early so that they can open it on time.

I'm not sure, but we're going to stay on the safe side and open it tomorrow morning (when the sun comes up, that is). One thing to think about is, depending on your time zone, there might be other Bible Bee-ers for whom it is not June 1st yet. We had a little discussion about when to open the box a few pages up on this topic. :)

@Sam and Caleb - Are you sure you want to be that rough with your new BB materials!? :P

We are Officially Un-decided. my mom doesn't want to get up that early after all. She was all for it earlier…but I guess sleep is calling her more than the box is. Soooooooooooooo… that means we have to wait until we wake up tomorrow!!!. I am going to wake up SOOOOOOOOOOOOO early (early as in 6:30 am) tomorrow!!! And usually, I am soooooo quiet as not to wake anyone up, however, that is soooo not going to be the case tomorrow!!!! I soooooooooooo used a lot of soooooooooooo -s . :)

I know, right?! :) The sad thing is that I won't be participating in the bee this year (though my siblings will be and maybe I will be able to next year). :( I am a little sad about that, but I am still extremely excited to study with you all and to find out this year's book. :)

Well, the contest is only a small part of the Bee, and the verses learned and studied are the lasting reward. Still, hopefully we'll see you again next year. :)

Well, I am going to be going to Patrick Henry College this fall, so I am going to be quite busy getting used to the new environment (I will have just missed attending locals by about two days, which I am pretty sad about.) Next year, however, I think I will have understood how to balance college and other activities enough so that I can participate in the Bible Bee as a real contestant. :)

I see. A justified reason. Will you still find time to memorize the verses, and study the book, or is your summer jam-packed with college stuff?

How many more years do you have to participate?

Will you be able to come to Nationals if your sibs qualify?

I think I will be able to memorize the verses and participate in the study. I just won't be able to make the contest days. After this year, I will have one more year of eligibility (which I earnestly hope to utilize). Unfortunately, if my siblings qualify, I don't think I will be able to attend Nationals, but I certainly will be following their progress closely. :)

We'll all miss you if we're able to go… Nationals just won't be the same. :(

We opened our box today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The sword study is so nice! I am really excited to start it. I just wish the cards were like they used to be so that we could quiz ourselves… oh well. As my mom would say, "Such as life!" :) I'm still so happy we got to open ours!!! Did any of you end up opening it at midnight? Who is doing the fundraiser?

We opened ours too! :D And I agree, I wish the cards were like they used to be! I think I might cut them out and laminate them :)

I feel the same way about that cards. Mom said they have to save ink somewhere. I think we're going to make our own cards. These are kind of hard to read because of the logo in the background.

We would have stayed up till midnight, but we had events planned for the morrow that required a good nights rest.

I think we'll try to do the fundraiser. I think it would be fun.
