Being Printed :)

Oh yeah, that reminds me - I've also had a letter printed in Nature Friend's Mailbox. And, a long time ago, when they first started doing Caption This, I got a caption printed on the back cover. The picture was an opossum opening his mouth really wide. I imagined he was a dentist and sent in this caption: "Say Aaaaah like this: Aaaaaaaaaaah…" :P

Cool! Which issues? We've been getting Nature Friend for almost a decade! ('Twill be a decade this April.)

Last year's Story Contest, and a couple other things that I can't remember.

We've been getting Nature Friend for as long as I can remember… I think since 2001 or something.

Ummmm… Mid-last decade, I don't remember exactly. The Mailbox letter was sometime last year.

I noticed that letter, particularly because I had seen one of those insects fairly recently, and was wondering what it was :)

I just found out that Nature Friend published another one of my articles in the November issue. (I think it was that one, but we can't get them right now, so I'm not certain)

It's really satisfying to get a check in the mail for your work!

Wait…they pay you for that?

Yeah, lol. I've never gotten anything printed that they send in checks for though. :( But I know what it's like, because I've entered in the fair before (and won! :)

I've sent in drawings and stuff, and they don't pay for that, but they paid me for my article. Of ourselves, maybe they just liked it more than most and decided to pay me for that just to show their appreciation. :)

Once I shocked a family friend by randomly flipping through a magazine and saying "Oh, they put us in here again." The friend was like "AGAIN! You sound like it happens a lot." :P

(Well, it does. But I didn't mean to shock him. :P)
