I was told several months ago that when I was little, I went three days straight without eating because I refused to eat it - talk about stubborn!

Oh, that happens to all little ones…on a large scale. I think the worst I have witnessed is a day. We don't let them eat anything else until they eat their last meal. (Or until Mama softens. :)

I almost always forget to butter the pans before I bake. :P
I used to burn rice all the time… but now I got it down and I don't even have to set a timer. :)

I do that sometimes, but I usually remember when I can fix it and before any harm is done. :P
So did I…makes me even more grateful for our rice cooker which does it on it's own. :P
BTW, how's your mom's pregnancy going?

Ah, it would take three rice cookers to cook enough rice for my family. :)
Pretty well. She's got a lot of morning sickness and it's hard for her since I'm not home to cook and watch the children… but my sister is there so that's good. :)

I'm Rachel :) I was wondering if I could kind of do a guest post with you on my blog (http://jewelsofjesus.blogspot.com/) and use the article you wrote that was published in KBR. Just let me know! :)
Let's see. It's posted on our family's blog (www.righttome.com) - could you copy it from there? I don't know if you want the picture or not.

So it's alright if I do use it? :) I'll give all the credit to you, of course. Would you want me to have a bio of you or anything? :)

Usually it would for ours too, but we got a really large one from…I don't know where. Probably Costco. ;P
That's good. :) It's always hard for my mom when my sister or I aren't there too. But I think it usually gets easier for her later in the pregnancy. I forgot - how many kids are in your family? My mom is pregnant with the 10th right now. :D

Yes, that's fine! Go ahead! I'm happy to have it shared with anyone else. ;) Umm, if you want to, that would be good. Would the one in KBR work? I like that one. :P :)

Oh, a really big one sounds nice! We do at least 4 cups of rice a day…
Yeah. Ten is a good number! My mom is pregnant with 11 now. :)

A day? Your family must really like rice! Whenever I cook rice, I cook 4 cups, but the cooker will hold at least twice that much, I believe.
It sure is. :) Wow, that's great! Are you #1? I'm #2. :)

Not really.

I like nuts… Well, to an extent. But I do like them. What is this, the second difference between us that we've found? xP

Last night I had a cooking calamity (ever since you said that, Emily, I've been thinking of this topic as "Cooking Calormenes" :P), though I had made the best batch of ice-cream-in-the-VitaMix ever. I put it in a precarious place in the freezer, thinking it was stable enough, and when I opened it to put the last one in, PLOP! All it out came onto the floor! I was so sad…that was the best tasting ice cream ever. Then Melody came and said, "Courtney, I know you spilled the ice cream, but, I still love you!" XD

To an extent I like them as well…just not in my food.
Haha! Yeah :-) Do you like peacan pie? Do you like pumpkin pie?

Do you use white or brown rice?

Sorry it took me so long to reply to your post. Yes, we do eat a lot of rice… but mostly because some of us can't eat other grains. Hmm, well, maybe I'll ask for a rice cooker for my birthday then. Thanks for telling me about it! :D
I am #1. I have a sister who is about your age… she is #3. :)

@Yanko- Thanks for reminding me to get back to this topic… ;)

I hope you like nuts. Because you have to put up with lots of them on the forums here :D

Hahahahaha!!! Yeah! :-)

IKR! I don't think I would be on here much if it weren't for the fact that this place is to quiet with out my siblings. ^Yeah, I'm horribly homesick now. :P^

Yeah… well you guys make me feel better! :))

It's a good thing I'm Homeschooled so I can do my school work here and not get behind at all. :)

We used to use brown all the time, but we've been using white jasmine rice a whole lot lately. I love the professional way the cooker cooks it. :)

That's OK, I've done that before. :) Ah… :D It is really nice - I cooked some for breakfast this morning, and I saw that it can go up to almost 8 cups.

Oh, alright. You know, it's funny, I've noticed that most of my good friends are older than me. :P
