That sure would be a lot easier! I do NOT like the taste of that cayenne pepper! And I put too much in it AGAIN today! :-P

I just always tell myself that there will always be another grilled basil chicken or another dump cake. :-) I know - isn't she? I don't think I'll make it six days… :-P

I'm going to do six days too. If I go any farther, I'll be fasting on my birthday. :P

@Bethany - I've put (diluted) honey in my eyes before. :P It burns a lot, but it helps eye problems immensely!

@Dani: I don't think I agree with you! I saw the water and oatmeal while my mom was getting it ready for my sister and it looked SOOOOOOO gross! @Nicolas: Okay. I wish I couldn't remember it but I do :) I was stuck at home for six weeks!!!

Ba! That's Dani M.!! :) lol stop confusing me please!!!!

Day 1 Lemonade Fast - Felt good today, except when the gallon jar broke that I was mixing a whole gallon of lemonade in! I think I'll leave the lemonade making to Matthew from now on. :-)

Day 2 Lemonade Fast - I got pretty hungry today, and that chicken fajita Mama was having sure smelled good. That salt water was nasty! At least I can drink my tea - that is my one consolation. :-P

Day 3 Lemonade Fast - It is 3:00 in the afternoon, and I have only had 2 cups full - I think my metabolism must be going down.

you are blessed with that inability . Words cannot express the grossness of a b vitamin

I have two b vitamins (almost, sometimes I forget) every day. One of them smells kinda nasty (but I don't smell it, I just swallow it) but other than that it's fine. :P

I couldn't help thinking of lemonade last night during the webinar when Mrs McMahan said that they would make exceptions for people who were suffering from extreme diets/allergies from the "No outside food" rule.

Do you know what my anatomy teacher would do when she taught the urinary system in a real high school? She'd have a big jug of lemonade on her desk, and be constantly pouring it into a cup and drinking it while she taught.

Just thought of that since we're discussing lemonade and all……

Here you go:

Nutty Graham Crackers
1/2 cup teff flour (dark or ivory)
1/2 cup sorghum flour
1/2 cup tapioca flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup almond (or pecan) meal
1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine
1/4 cup honey
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-2 tablespoons water (if needed)
Preheat oven to 350*. Grease two 12" times 15 1/2" baking sheets.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the teff, sorghum, tapioca and cornstarch flours, almond meal, xanthan gum, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon.
In the bowl of your mixer, beat together the butter, honey, brown sugar, and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients. This should form a soft dough ball that will handle easily. (You probably will not need the water, but add if necessary.) Divide the dough into 2 balls.
Place each ball on a cookie sheet, and cover with plastic wrap; roll it out until covers the sheet and is about 1/8" thick, like pastry dough. Cue with a pastry wheel into 3" squares. Prick each square with a fork 5 times.
Bake for about 25 min., reversing the position of the pans at the halfway point in baking. Make about 5 dozen crackers.

Our family -loves- kefir! We make a lot of it from our goat's milk. That is, until our goats ran dry a week ago. :( Hopefully we'll have more in a month or two. :)

Well, we get both the highschool edition (Top Story) and the regular World News, but I don't remember which one it was in. I think it was the December issue? Sorry, I'll try to find it. :)

I know!! It was pretty short actually (my description of "article" doesn't quite fit, at second thought), but it was under the Human Race section. It pointed out that Ryan was "the first male winner of the Senior Division since 2009." :D
