That's really cool you play viola! I'd like to learn it….some day:)

Um, I've seriously been playing violin for like 4 years and piano for about the same time. I started both lots longer ago than that, but didn't really work on them a lot:)

I started violin 8 years ago, and piano about 6 months ago, and viola about 2 years ago. Viola isn't really too different from the violin except that you have to learn to read tenor clef. But It only took me about a week to feel at home with it.

What's your favorite breed of horse? I like mustangs and Arabians.

Neat! Does viola have the same fingering then as violin? Because I was a little surprised with the difference of fingering for cello and it took me a while to get used to it. Yeah, I can't read tenor clef…yet:)

Ahhh, any kind that has four legs a main and tail:) I really like Mustangs and Morgans and some other that I can't think of right now…

Yessss!!! I love them!!! I actually got to lunge one. The same people who do sidesaddle who galloped the horse for me:) have miniature horses too!! They do cart riding with them and everything!

Anyone, what is horsemanship? And what is riding bareback like? I may be able to take a "horsemanship" class nearby, and I have no clue whatsoever how to ride! I only know about horses, but not the riding part except for a little bit about the riding gear and the different gaits.

Horsemanship is "the art or practice of riding on horseback." Riding bareback is pretty hard, I think. I fell off the time I tried it, because the horse started trotting uphill. xP

I want to learn bareback riding. 8-) I've been volunteering at a stable for a little while now, but it's only been grooming and feeding/watering the horses and cleaning out the stalls. I'm hoping that I can start riding again soon, because when I took lessons it was only with a saddle, no bareback. Apparently bareback is easier once you get used to it, though, because you can feel the horse shifting under you and you can tell when they're about to do something.

Agreed, the Indians must have been good riders.
That's true about feeling the horse.
What are your favourite breeds and color markings?

Medium brown with black mane and tail, white stockings and white stripe. I personally love all the horse breeds. Does anyone do competitive riding?

Ooh, uh…I have a lot of favorite colorings. I like dun and buckskin…palomino is cool too but I don't know if it's a top favorite…black, light grey (aka "white"), dappled grey…gold with gold mane and tail is pretty epic, but I don't know what my top favorite coloring is.

I don't do competitive riding anymore. :-P The students at the stable I took lessons at before all did shows, but that was years ago.
