I have never had stitches, broken bones or anything like that. And I have never died in a car crash…or even been in a car crash for that matter.

Oh yea, truth be known. Alright then. ahem If any of you have died in a car crash and have come to tell your story, please include how you are still able to post. :D You can also post about near-life (in heaven) experiences here as well.

Ummmm, nope, I don't think I've died in a car crash. And I haven't broken any bones or had any stitches either. :)

DIMS! Nobody gets hurt around here! :D I guess that's a good thing, huh? Maybe I should rename the topic "Injuries, Car Crashes, Teeth Pulling, Burns and Headaches" :P

Lol the worst injurey I ever got was when I broke my finger..IKR? My little brother was playing goalie at soccer practice though and hit his face of the post and knocked one of his front permenet teeth out.

I haven't broken a bone yet and I don't think I want to :). Permanent tooth? Ouch, that must have hurt.

God's Maiden of Virtue

I've never had a broken bone, stitches, or died in a car crash :D
But I have been in a little bit of a car accident. It was actually just back in December- Mom and I were on our way to a ladies' Bible study, and we were pulling out of a restraunt parking lot. We were part way on the street, and a pick-up truck in front of us backed into the door of the passenger seat- right where I was sitting! The car was dented and we couldn't open the door for a few weeks, but we were okay. :-)

Well, though it wasn't really an injury, I've had four of my permanent teeth pulled all at once so that my mouth wouldn't be so crowded. I actually still have those teeth in my closet, come to think of it… :P

Just so that I can start off like everyone else LOL. No I have never broke any bones or been in a car crash or died or gone to Heaven.
Well lets see I did have 4 wisdom teeth pulled and swallowed the gauze in my sedated state. I have a female relative that broke her leg as she and a male relative of mine were sledding down a hill and crashed into a birch tree. I got seven stitches in my forehead when a microphone stand was dropped on my head by a female relative (the same one who broke her leg), I have a scar to this day, even though that was about 17.5 years ago, I was only about six months old. I have a male relative (the same one who was riding in front of the female relative that crashed into the tree) had the unfourtunate experience to actually cut off the end of his thumb with a table saw.14 stitches.

Let's see…I know I've never died in a car crash. :) But, I've been in two very near serious car crashes before, thankfully, nothing happened, because if it had, we would have been visiting the ER.

I've sprained my ankle twice, but never broken a bone. Also, I knocked my head and had it split open a little (so young, that I can't remember much). My mom and dad glued it shut, or something like that….can't remember very well….

And next month, I'm getting my jaw broken. And, I've had 6 permanent teeth removed by the dentist :)

It wasn't to serious but I did cut the back of my leg (from my ankle to my knee) with barbed wire…I still have a scar from it.

Like most of the people here, I have never had stitches, broken a bone, or died in a car crash. :-) But about two and a half years ago, I sprained my ankle, and I managed to do the same to the other one a couple of months later. Well, it turns out that neither one healed properly. So now, at completely random times, one of my ankles will start hurting really bad, like I sprained it all over again. That's why I'm usually limping about a quarter of the time. That's also why I always tell people, "If I ever say that my ankle hurts, please don't be surprised." ;-)

Yuck! I hate blood and injuries. :P (why I'm not aspiring to be a nurse. ;) I broke my elbow once in two places at the same time. Very painful!! Especially when they bend it backward. :-/ I've dislocated my thumb while skiing (the broken arm was from gymnastics…funny cause I'm not very active. Maybe it's cause I always hurt myself. ) I guess the dislocated thumb wasn't so bad except they told me I couldn't play the piano and I had a competition that I had a good chance at in a few weeks. :( I've sprained my ankle once while trying to fetch runaway goats. Hmm…oh! I was in a car crash when I was little but I didn't get hurt. Don't think Ive had anything else worth telling happen to me. :P

I broke my toe once, running in a friend's house, and I ran into the wall, and my toe hit the edge of two walls. Otherwise, I've always been too careful to break any bones. It's what happens when you're six, and instead of playing outside you read books about killer bees and snakes, and decide inside is safer. Fortunately, I've been saved from myself……….mostly.

My mom broke three of her toes when she tried pulling our ping pong table out that had about 250 lbs on it. It all fell on her toes. If it had been just a little lower she would have lost her toes.

Yeah, I still remember that vividly. It had crushed her toes so much that we couldn't get our fingers under to pick it up.

LOL! What a topic! :D
Well, I am a very daring person… so I have a few stories here:

When I was young I tried to repel out of a tree with my belt (dumb idea, folks! I don't recommend trying it.). My belt broke and I feel out of the tree. It was the Lord's protection that I didn't get hurt badly on that one! It could have been way worse.
Also when I was younger, I almost knocked my teeth out.
I almost drowned when I was about eight.
I've only broke toes, thank God! And never have had stitches (my mom says that is amazing because I'm the one who would be most capable of doing that.) ;D

I almost lost my left eye thanks to my brother, Jordan. He went to put a tomato planter in the ground and somehow slit my eyelid on the way down. I still have a scar there.

Random other things…
I've twisted my ankle before, my wrist has popped out of joint from violin practice, strains and such, cuts, and rather recently, my head got "stuck" on my neck from violin (why is the violin the main problem here?!) and cut off drainage. Everything collected in the back of my head and went into my ear. I got a mastoid ear infection from that… and you can die from those. O.o

Oh, one little tip here:
If you fall off a log (which I did… it rolled and well, I landed so hard on it that my knee got the record bruise) don't ever put an unwrapped icepack on it. You'll freeze your skin.
Yep, I did that. No, don't ever try it.

God has been very good to me considering the fact that things could have been a lot worse…

I told you I'm daring. ;)
It was because my dad is a fireman and I decided to give repelling a try. :D

Bethany, I'm surprised you are still alive after some of those injuries.
I think the worst injury I had was when I scrapped my knee after falling off my bicycle several years ago!!! I guess I'm not that daring:)

I guess my purpose on this earth is not fulfilled yet! :)

I'm really amazed I haven't ever got stitches.
Actually while Jordan and my dad were out at Nationals for the BB, I was making walking sticks for that craft sale you all hosted. I had just sharpened the knife… and it slipped and cut my hand. Talk about a minor heart attack! I was so afraid I needed to stitches, but I didn't want to worry my mom while my dad was away. I wrapped it up well and prayed hard. Thank God it was fine!

Yes, Mommy was quite alarmed when she found out. ;)

This really shows me the power of God's grace, and protection. I think I remember seeing that cut on your hand. I'm so glad you didn't have to get stitches.

It amazes me when I think about how every single moment of our lives is miraculously protected by our loving, all powerful God. So that when we do have injuries, we can know that His hands were in control of every detail, and without Him we certainly would be lost.

Actually, I've never got hurt REALLY bad…

I think my near death experience was when I was 14… I drove a bulldozer into a 15 ft pit that was covered with brush so I couldn't see it… It was basically like driving off a cliff. The dozer nosed over the edge and fell forward, the I went hurtling off the seat (Not wearing a seat belt cause there wasn't one) and fell down the entire front just inches from the running engine. I hit the ground right by the dozer blade and looked up to see the entire machine (Probably weighed several tons!) teetering right above me! I got out of there as fast as I could! Nothing happened to me though…. other then shock! And, of all things, I was back on the machine running it later that afternoon!

The whole thing was really frightening! (understandably!)
