Yep :) But I had to leave early because I had to finish perfecting my verses that I learned in the plane :P Hopefully that won't happen again. And because most of the people on Memverse are Seniors, there weren't a whole lot of people there.

Quite well! I've been sorta picking up the pace in my Nahum studying, and my memorization has been moving along very well, by God's grace. :)

Thursday!! It doesn't look like there's anything scheduled (at the moment) between senior orals and the processional.

It would be nice if it could be Thursday. Personal preference. Maybe we should put it later Thursday, that way we know orals would be done by then. But whatever works for the majority, is good. =)

Okay! Thank you everyone for giving your thoughts! It looks like so far…

We have a majority of people wanting to do a group picture, and both Emily and Esther have offered to let us use their family's cameras.

We don't need to do name tags, since we'll have BB name tags, and almost everyone knows almost everyone else's real name.

Signing a poster would be neat, but the problem is, who would keep it? However, Sarah wants at least a record of everyone who came, and Rosie has offered to do that for her. She could either have everyone sign it, or write down everyone who was there. We should also make sure the group picture is made available to anyone else who wants it.

We have a mixed group of those who want to have the meeting on Wednesday, and those who want to have it on Thursday. I feel like it would be good if we could have both, so that way more people could come to at least one of them, but that makes a problem of possibly not being everyone to be in the group picture.

Just a suggestion - could we have the meeting, the socialization part, on both times suggested, and then sometime later in the competition, we could get together and take the picture? Also, it would be nice if the person taking the picture has like a checklist of those who need to be in it, so we won't miss anybody on accident. If we take the picture later in the event, more people will have their programs, so it would be a better time for signing.

Esther - I'm not sure how long the meeting ran last year. Some people were late, so I think it just goes for however long people want to stand around and talk.

Please offer your thoughts - this needs to be a group effort!

Would any time on Friday work? Evening might be the only time…we could go out to dinner together, or something like that… EDIT: no, I take that back, I don't think it will.

I don't think so. We don't know the hotel, so I don't know that we can choose a place. EDIT: hmm, I suppose looking at the schedule, the Veranda might be a possible place. Who knows what it's like. There also might be just a hotel lobby or something like that where it would be easy.

My mom discussed the time of the MV meeting a bit with me, and I agree with her that the best time for the meeting is Thursday afternoon. I understand Wednesday would be easier for some people, so here are the reasons: 1) Contestants need to get to bed plenty early Wednesday night, 2) Some contestants want to study Wednesday night, 3) Some families might still be busy getting settled into the hotel, or not even arrived yet Wednesday night. So, we know that Thursday isn't ideal either, but we can just hope and pray that the Senior Orals won't run so late this time. :) EDIT: Also, I checked, and we have a majority of votes for Thursday afternoon.

Well, Rachel and Everett, I've thought of that, but if you look at the schedule it makes it pretty difficult. Friday: Primary Semis, then a short lunch break (which people need) before Juniors. Not very much of a break before Seniors, and then after that the only break is what families need for dinner. The Friday night party is after that, which some people might be going to.
Saturday: there might be a space that would work here. After Senior Finals?

Saturday might work, depending on who's going to the Friends of the Bee dinner. That's the fancier one, right? I know mom and I aren't going to that - we'll be at the pasta/pizza dinner.

I don't know, I guess so…well, that might work!
