Wow, that's really cool! I really like Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy:P:P Just wondering, does your teacher have you always memorize your recital piece?

I have a Ocarina and I've played it off and on for a few years! It's a very nice travel sized instrument with a pleasant sound. You can learn to play it without much effort!

I'm not sure. We did bring the camera, but it was running low on battery, so we saved it for the Chopin piece. I'm not sure if my dad got all the way through though - I mean to ask him sometime.

@Emily - Actually, no. I do memorize them sometimes, and I could probably play all the pieces I listed on the previous page by memory, but I did bring the music to the Nutcracker and the Polonaise.

An ocarina is a wind interment in the category of "vessel flutes". There are lots of different types, variations, and styles, but a large number of ocarinas are small enough to wear on a chord around your neck, if not they are still pretty small compared to other instruments. I think they can have anywhere between 4 and 12 finger holes.
Here's a sample that I really liked:

We've got one, and I've played it a bit, I think it's pretty easy, similar to a recorder, but the holes are easier to cover. There is a wider variety of combinations of fingerings too, which might make it a bit more tricky.

I can only embrace that style of music when I am at a serious low point in life….

Hey everyone,

Before last year's Bible Bee, I posted on the "Songs we have written" topic and asked if anybody would like to help me out with writing songs. I didn't get much of a reply to that, but I thought now that BB is over, I might get more responses. So, is anybody interested?
