I was basically squealing for two days after I heard that. My brothers got so annoyed. :-) But I couldn't really help it. I hope they'll still be using Will Poulter as Eustace because it would be kind of strange to change the actor between the movies, and kind of mean to Will Poulter, too. "So…yeah, you got to play Eustace when he was the annoying little snob, but we cast someone else to play him when he's a good guy…"

I realized that I've not been on the forums for almost a month!! :-O I'm going to make the most of the two or so hours I've got today.

Ahhhhh! No! My precious Narnia thread is dying! (quickly starts applying CPR to it) Nonononono, don't die, please don't die!
Am I really the first person that's been on here in 9 months?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

It *did*????? For you?

Pretty much. LOTR's way better, and is more immersive. Narnia…lacks a lot of story, IMO. It's not bad, and I will make sure my kids read the books (and listen to the Focus on the Family audio drama version, but NONE of the movies except LWW. The rest stunk. :P), but it's not the best series. :P

Just because PC added the romance :-P and VODT added the green mist :-P :-P :-P . If they'd stuck to canon it would have been way better. They'd better not mess with SC too much.

And PC was confusing in an annoyingly unnecessary way. :P

They probably will. I just wanna see The Last Battle. It'll probably be PG-13 or R.

The ratings of the Narnia movies always crack me up. "PG-13 – Some material may not be suitable for children; For fantasy images and sequences of epic battle action". It's like, "Wow, you don't say??"

Well, it's really interesting to see how fast this forum gets away from you when you don't check it for several months…. Here's a question that might seem a little off topic- Has anyone seen the trailer for "The Maze Runner"?

Could you perhaps post a link to those pictures? I can't seem to find them anywhere. :)

You can google Silver Chair movie, Puddleglum is the best. Looks like they tried to get Anakin Skywalker for the prince's role.

As far as I can tell, though, those are fan-created art (digital alterations and the like). It might be real, but it seems that the makers have not yet released official material. I am pretty sure they won't be casting for another year or so.

Da. It is real, but not Mark Gordon, that made most of those, that's BBC. :P Liol I didn't pay close enough attention.

Agreed. About a year or so ago, I saw some pictures of the Lady in the Green Kirtle, and I'm supposing Prince Rilian, as a "Narnia" poster. Those were probably what you were talking about.
Can't wait to see what the real cast is going to look like!!! Basically, the only original returning character will probably be Eustace (unless they add flashes of the Pevensies) and (maybe- *spoiler alert!) Caspian.

That'd be bad! O.o

I'm putting the blame on Lucas as director for that one. Hayden is a good actor in the Prequels when he says nothing. Look at when Padme tells him she's pregnant. Or the montage when he's at the temple and she's at home. It's awesome how well he can convey emotions through his face, and I think he can do it through his voice as well, given the proper lines and director.

How exactly did we get into a discussion of Star Wars in the Narnia forum?

Hayden Christensen (Anakin) is a possible actor to play Prince Rilian. :)

Problems with the combat in the first Narnia movie.

First off the ice scene. Peter was standing on Ice with a vary poor stance, holding his sword out at arms length (making it nearly imposable for him stab at anything) with both hands griping the handle (he should have had one hand on the pommel). Needless to say he has not had much training. The wolf could have easily gotten past the sword point and then (because of the ice + poor foot positioning) knocked them all into the ice water like bowling pins where they would have frozen to death, the end. In order to prevent that ending Peter would have had to do something along the lines of half-swording to kill the wolf… which… is like shooting peoples legs in Capitan America. “Not even the bad guys do it.”

The Battle.
Although having the cats as skirmishers is clever, The Narnian's mane body of troops were to spread out for a triangle formation to work. Maybe it just depends on the shot you look at, but it seemed that the guys just behind that first centaur were to far back to engage the enemy before they swamped him, And jsyk they'll be facing the same problem seconds later.

Peter vs The White Witch.
Heres a link for those of you who can get youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhzVukK4WkQ
^the GIF s kinda speed things up.^

In this clip of the fight scene the Witch caches his sword and instead of moving in for a kill she dose a sissier motion (which would have dulled her swords) to push Peters sword back. Peters slowly recovers. The Witch then knocks Peters sword in to something like a hanging guard (which he fails to use), which she fallowed up with a lame swinging move. What has Peter doing with his shield so far? Nothing. And when he Finely dose use it, He Shields it… with his sword??? And then gets it out of the way as fast as possible. !http://share.gifyoutube.com/vQ8kdW.gif!
…. Maybe its too fragile or something. Please, Just don't take Christmas gifts into a battle, its a bad idea. Santa should stick to toys.

Is this the best they've got? All she has to do is tip them down a little and vola! mission accomplished. Sword fighting is done on a 3D platform not this stinking horizontal 2D. And once again no use of the shield.

Fechbuchers have vary little about dual welding ^and for good reasons^ but here are a lot of simple moves that either of them could have used with a high probability of success at various times and didn't. (and the reason I'm only giving the links is because they came out Annoyingly large)

From this position alone there must like a hundred ways to take out the other person.

Heres one.

Practicly any of the times the witch had both the swords on the same side of the body Peter should have done something like this.

I have two explains for this. Ether (1) Jadis had a spell or something that hindered Peter's ability to think about what he was doing, or (2) this guy…. http://i.ytimg.com/vi/XacLk1XUZCo/hqdefault.jpg …is evil. He didn't teach Peter any sword-skills because He wanted Peter to die in battle so he could clam the throne for himself.

So what do you think? Sorry if I crashed any of your web browsers.

The Witch too.
If the problem is with Peter, the Narnins should have invested some time in training their king.
If the problem is with the actors, Disney should have invested some time in training their actors. (and then put the ridicules footage in the bloopers)

Either way it was rather anticlimactic for me.
