Yeah….
Emily H
You've probably said before, but how many years have you done Bible Bee?
Margaret Eddy
When really, they aren't confusing, they are just for a selective audience.
Margaret Eddy
All of them. How long have you?
Emily H
All of them too. Except I didn't really study in '09. Which years have you been to Nationals?
Margaret Eddy
Just last year and this year.
I didn't really study in '09, and I didn't know how to study in '10, then I almost made it in '11.
Emily H
Okay. I qualified '11, '12 and '13. 2010 I didn't know how to study either…I only memorized half my verses and did the parts of my Sword Study that were interesting.
Margaret Eddy
How many years do you have left? Next year is my last.
Emily H
That's so sad. Except we'll all be happy when you take over editing smile
Margaret Eddy
I know. Part of me is glad that I will be done and can move on to "helping", but a much bigger part wishes that the Bible Bee started when I was a lot younger.
Emily H
Same here…
Margaret Eddy
Are you planning on helping when you are too old?
Emily H
Yes! I really, really want to. Are you? Like with judging?
Margaret Eddy
Packing peanuts, perhaps?
Margaret Eddy
I am planning on signing up as "To old for Seniors Critic".
Emily H
Ah, I see. Fun! smile
Emily H
Lol!
Margaret Eddy
I made myself a lovely title at one point… I will try to find it.
Emily H
Okay.
Margaret Eddy
Here: I came up with one each for Sarah and I: "Sarah Eddy: Head of the General Criticism Department and Senior Voice of Reason" and "Margaret Eddy: Heart of the General Criticism Department and Junior Voice of Reason".
Emily H
Wow, that's great!!
Margaret Eddy
I'm not sure if it is the greatest thing to go by, but I would be better at it than "Spirit Leader"!
Emily H
I would love to see someone's face after you introduced yourself like that. smile
Emily H
Yeah, that certainly does seem like it fits you better than "Spirit Leader"!
Margaret Eddy
No way, I want a name tag!
Emily H
Okay, when they read your name tag!
Margaret Eddy
But, if I did that, I would probably end up in a corner somewhere getting a lecture from some overly concerned lady with no sense of humor about not having such a critical spirit. Which would be bad.
Margaret Eddy
So I settled with editor, which is next best.
Emily H
Yeah, that probably would happen. And that would be bad. Oh well…. Did you guys go to the desert reception?
Margaret Eddy
Yes; I groan inwardly.
Emily H
Yeah, that makes sense smile
Emily H
You did!?? I kept looking for you all. You didn't want to go?
Margaret Eddy
Overly concerned ladies with no sense of humor are attracted to me like magnets. I fascinate them.
Margaret Eddy
She made us wave our hands in the air… and I predicted it five minutes before it happened.
Emily H
Oh wow, that doesn't sound very good…
Margaret Eddy
I saw you several times.
Margaret Eddy
There are a few stories that I prefer not to recall…
Emily H
Ooooh yeah. I forgot about that part
Margaret Eddy
You forgot? How could you forget?
Emily H
I never saw you once!! I saw Sarah when we were all sitting there waiting for the processional and was waiving frantically, but I couldn't really talk at all right then…
Emily H
Because I didn't really….ahem do it very much. I was too busy talking smile
Margaret Eddy
I didn't do it at all, and I remembered.
Emily H
Hmm…. Did you go to the movie?
Margaret Eddy
I was practicing my "being invisible" up for avoiding hand-waving.
Margaret Eddy
Yes.
Emily H
I see. That is pretty cool that you can just become invisible like that! smiles
Emily H
What did you think of it? We didn't go because we wanted to stay and talk with everyone.
Margaret Eddy
It is more like "very inconspicuous". I almost tripped over you a couple of times throughout Thursday.
Margaret Eddy
It was not as well done, nor as badly done, as it could have been.
Emily H
cries I never saw you once! Totally oblivious me.
