Relax, have fun and try not to agonize about Nationals (although I'm not succeeding very well :P). I'm definitely not going to do school this week. We are going to celebrate the completion of Bible Bee!

Well, us older children might visit some relatives, and I might be babysitting tomorrow night. If those things hadn't come up, I would have been doing school and piano like crazy till Wednesday…oh, well!

Did you guys on here the thing about not going on the Bible Bee website until the scores are posted? I though it was a little strange but will probably not go on the website until Thursday just to be safe and not get disqualified. I thought I did really well at the local round. I would not be too surprised if I got 300 points on the oral round! I got through all the verses with no passes, helps, startovers, or startovers because of the judges not understanding me in 9 minutes and 22 seconds! I also got through all the written test questions with 3 minutes left and was able to go back and recheck some of my answers. I had alot of fun nd won the Junior division of my local bee!

Yeah, that was announced at our locals. I believe that last year, if anyone attempted to go to the main Bible Bee website before Wednesday evening, all they got was a picture that looked like a stage with the curtains closed and a sign in front saying "National Qualifiers Will Be Announced August 31, 2011 at 8 PM EDT". I don't think one would be disqualified for just doing that, however, if one tried to go someplace else on the website (besides the main page) they might be disqualified.

You may be right but I think I will just play it safe and wait till Thursday.

I am going to relax, play baseball, and get ready for school tomorrow.

Yeah, if you go on the webpage all you get is a curtain, like Matthew said. You only get disqualified if you try to hack on and find what the study materials are or something.

I still don't want to take a chance ;)

@JPIA- Congratulations on your first in the Senior category at locals. My brother got 5th and fo some reason he got a $1000 scholarship too. I though it was just for the Senior winner but I guess not.

C'mon, I don't think that they would disqualify some random Bible Bee-er who decided that he wanted to go to the BB website without knowing about the rule. You don't really have to take that "extra precaution," since there is no danger whatsoever of being disqualified simply for going to the website. :) The BBHQ would definitely not do that. :)

Did you see any reference to a time at which they will post the scores?

Isaac, I believe last year they said that they would announce the qualifiers and the study materials at 8:00 PM EDT - but I think it was more like 8:20. So, it will be announced sometime in the evening.

"2012 National Qualifiers Materials Announced Wednesday, Aug 29th at 7:00 EST"

@Bethany, I know!!! Several times today I've thought to myself, "I need to go study!! Wait, no I don't…uh… but what else is there to do?" :P Thankfully tomorrow will be here soon! =D

IT'S TONIGHT! I was just about to burst with excitement as I went around and did my chores this morning :) Well, today I have planned to do lots of science, math, piano and then this evening (at 6:00!) we're having company over. My mom says that we don't have to wait till they leave to find out though, they'll just get to join in the excitement :D

@Isaac, in my previous comment, "sometime in the evening" means "approximately in the aforementioned time period", in case you didn't know. I didn't really feel like using that fancy language right then. :P

Same here, Matthew! I don't feel like doing anything except for sitting on the computer…waiting…though, my mom says we HAVE TO eat supper. Pretty much all I've done today is played piano…and gotten the mail…and done my chores…and played the piano…and been NERVOUS! :D
