I appreciate your heart, Leah, but I'm not sure I appreciate the spirit of that comment. Your comment has a legalistic tinge to it, because it implies that anyone who does not conform to your standards is probably not a Christian. I really don't want that kind of pronouncement being made toward other Memversers in this thread. I feel like I have the authority to call you out on that, because I created this thread.

I can certainly appreciate that you don't like the song. So you can make a statement about how you personally find it offensive. I have no problem with that. But please don't question someone's salvation because they like a song that you don't. Maybe that's not what you were trying to do. But do try to be careful about that in the future.

@All: That said, please try to be careful with what you post here. There is a reason that I wanted songs that everyone could at least somewhat appreciate. Personally, I like Taylor Swift songs, so if this was a forum where everyone thought like me and was able to discern the value in some secular music, I would have no problem with the above lyrics being posted. Unfortunately, I think both Sam and Abi know that not everyone is going to enjoy the lyrics to songs like those, so I think more caution should be exercised in the future.
