True, true. Sometimes, when the book gets a little dull or I start to feel carsick, I just stare out the window for… well, "crazily long periods of time." And somehow, it never gets tiresome. :P

Yellowstone is INCREDIBLE!!! Especially when you have an awesome tour guide as my Dad….he used to work at YSNP, and so he knows the park very well!

They filmed CON there, too. And…neither Tolkein nor Lewis had ever been there…
So, if you ever go there, tell me what it was like! And you could try to make it to Flock Hill…

I'd like to go to Australia someday, or at least the Northwest states.

I do not like traveling… I've been doing it for the past ten months! While I'm in the car, I mainly study Bible Bee, and read. Praise the Lord that no one in my family gets carsick! :D

I liked Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, but probably the best part has been staying with other Bible Bee families!

I would like to go to Israel, P.E. Island, and England.

My mom, my sister, and I, plus a few other families from our church, are going up into northern Minnesota (McGregor to be exact) on Monday afternoon. There's a Christian camp up there called Covenant Pines, and they're hosting a homeschool retreat Monday afternoon through Wednesday morning. So, Bethany and I get to sit in the back of a 15-passenger with one of our super-goofy friends and talk for three hours on the way there, and repeat it on the way back on Wednesday. Oh, and we also get to sleep in a cabin in 40-degree weather. :-D

I'm sure it will be, and I really wish you all could come, but I don't think there would be enough cabins. :-) My mom is panicking because we're still not packed, and we won't have time to do it tomorrow. We have an appointment at 11, I have piano at 1, and we're leaving for the retreat at 1:30, pretty much right when my piano lesson ends.

But Texas and Jamestown and Philadelphia and DC were my favorite places other than Bible Bee :P

We went to Valdez, recently, and did some salmon fishing. The view while we were there, and on the 8 hr trip was great.
And we got to camp in a great campground with a waterfall, and was only a short ways from the Valdez glacier.

It did. That was back in April. We didn't attend, unfortunately. However, there is another week-long camp that is a lot more relaxed and has more family activities, called Family Camp. That's what we're going to next month - (yikes I said it was later this month, didn't I?) facepalm

I just got back from the International ALERT Academy 2013 Family Camp. It was AWESOME! I would highly recommend Family Camp to any homeschooling family who is looking for a good vacation with fellowship with like-minded families. In my opinion, Family Camp is second only to the National Bible Bee. (Coming from me, that means a lot. :) ) You do not have to be affiliated with the Advanced Training Institute (ATI) to come to Family Camp. It has so many activities from which to choose, and yet it has a relaxed atmosphere without the stress of continually rushing off to events. In addition, it is also a great opportunity to learn from the featured speakers about the theme for the year. This year the theme was the American Constitution. We are planning to attend next year and would love to see you there!
