Saved by Grace. In Christ alone, by faith alone, through grace alone.

I have participated in the National Bible Bee since the beginning, and qualified for Nationals every year except for 2011 (I have the excuse that we were building a house).

I love photography and videography, so when I was invited to the BB Game Show, I was a little bit excited! (More like a little kid in a candy shop :D)

I love music and dancing. I can kind of call contra dancing (I actually did it for the first time at the Game Show, and I'm hoping to get in some more practice this spring). I love swing dancing, and would really like to get into ECD and SCD. I play somewhere between 10-12 instruments on a semi-regular basis, and I regularly practice piano, violin, and harp. I love to sing. I would love to sing in a professional choir someday.

My biggest dream is to study music in Europe for a year.

I am the oldest girl out of five children. My baby brother was nothing short of a miracle baby, and I am so thankful to God and blessed to have him in my life!

Some random facts about me: My eyes change color. I have the blessing of being able to pick up nearly any instrument and make sense of it. I am short. I shed knitting needles, crochet hooks, yarn, and thread all over the place. Literally. I have a list of animals that I want to get that is longer than any other list I have…. Outside of Bible Bee, I am a super introvert. I figure skate. A lot. When I can. And I love my Grandpa. I have the best Grandpa ever. :)

Err, I think you mean a year less a day.

@Slade LOL Ditto.

EDIT: I mean I see the resemblance between you two. I would put a "jk" here, but I wouldn't mean it. JK :D

How to start a megachurch:

  1. Remove all crosses

  2. Never, ever preach about sin

  3. Set up the stage like American Idol

  4. Bring in a rock band

  5. Dim all the lights; make it like a nightclub

  6. Only sing meaningless songs

Wait. I have come in possession of a wonderful idea! Here it is: Why do you not take something every week and criticize it and say why you dislike it. LOLing for example.

All true, except the crosses thing. Plenty of megachurches have lots of crosses, but they're meaningless, and meant only to make it look like it's a Christian place.

Done. Since you know all things, and thou art holier than everyone else, (esp. those who listen to rock music) can you enlighten us how to be just like you?

She already has. Multiple times.

All the megachurches I've been in, and that's quite a few, have no crosses. You can't even tell they are a religious facility.

Makes me wonder then, why you would have been in them at all?
Churches aren't made of their buildings, ours meets in a facility used for other purposes throughout the week, Churches are made up of the believers who gather together to worship. So a building used solely for worship, should reflect that, but not necessarily in any of the ways we might think of as a 'church'. I haven't been in a 'mega-church' to my knowledge, but may have been, sadly many organizations calling themselves churches seem to be corrupt institutions where true worship and edification are rare at best.

Confederate States of America, Article 1, Section 9:

The importation of negroes of the African race from any foreign country other than the slaveholding States or Territories of the United States of America, is hereby forbidden; and Congress is required to pass such laws as shall effectually prevent the same.

I really need to read the whole thing…

The good thing about our church building is that we can have Bible Bee in it XD

And for some reason, churches don't want to let the local BB use their facility for a day to run Locals in…. They are too busy with their own programs, and even if they're not, they don't want to promote something that's not from 'their church'.

I found it!!
I somewhat accidentally came across the full Constitution of the Confederate States of America and here's the link:

EDIT: Scroll down to find it. :)
I haven't read it yet, by the way.

And I should be e-mailing you soon. Sorry it's taking so long!

I know you're into health stuff like my mom is, :) so I was wanting to ask what you think of peanuts and peanut butter. Do you think they are good for you, or really bad?

That's what I thought you would say. I just can't understand it! How could peanuts be moldy? Sometimes I think people make up stuff like that… I just wish I didn't have to go by what someone (a book) says is healthy. Everyone says something a little different when it comes to health. :P

Tomorrow, we're touring BB headquarters and staying at the McMahan's house (only Alex will be there), and then the next two days, we'll be going to the Creation Museum with another family that is moving up to AK with us!

That's good! How long have you been away from home?
By the way, you said something about a book that the author of the "Hank the Cowdog" books wrote that improved your writing: would you mind giving me the title, please? My writing needs improvement. :-)
Do you write stories?

We've been gone for almost nineteen months.

I will tell you the title- when we get home… Well, the next time I get Internet after that. :)

I do write stories and articles- my first full-length book is in the editing stage right now.
