I was bored and checking the forums, and decided that it was time for you all to know me a bit better. So here goes:

I am a budding Gundam pilot of 18, and am a wicked sinner who was saved only by God's infinite love and mercy. I go to Heritage Reformed Baptist Church, along with some others around here too.looks around You know who you are.

I pray that I can marry a wife as geeky as me and raise about 20-ish kids when I'm older. I'm attending college in the fall of 2016, majoring in Biomedical Engineering. :)

I enjoy :

  • Listening to Tenth Avenue North,Lecrae,Imagine Dragons, and a LOT of Korean groups, like BIGBANG, 2NE1, f(x), Lee Hi, B.A.P, GOT7, and AKMU..

  • Reading good books. The Reckoners series and the Lord of the Rings are my favs, but the Resisters. Redwall, and Halo books are a close second. Anything written by Brandon Sanderson is a win for me. I also love good manga; I enjoy A Silent Voice, Fullmetal Alchemist, Gundam: The Origin, The Legend of Zelda, and the Megaman NT Warrior manga.

  • Watching anime. Currently, my personal favorites are One-Punch Man, Steins;Gate, Barakamon, Anohana, and Angel Beats, with the amazing plot, the good characters and character development, and the overall themes throughout each series. IFor a good starter anime, thought, I'd recommend Sword Art Online I follow a LOT of anime, though, and some of my favorites are Silver Spoon, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Attack on Titan, Chaika the Coffin Princess, and K-On, just to name a few. Anime has something for everyone, and I'd be glad to help introduce you to it if you are unfamiliar. :)

  • Hanging out with friends. I won't tell you which friends, that you have to figure out. Some of them are here on Memverse though.

  • Watching awesome shows like Doctor Who and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I've seen the first two seasons of Arrow and suffice it to say that it's basically a Batman show without Batman. Personally, I enjoyed the entire first season of the Flash show a lot better.

  • Playing video games. Or "video shames" as OCTSRIS calls them. So far, my Steam library is over 124 games strong, and it grows with each sale. I love gaming on my Wii U and New 3DS: Splatoon and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate are amazing games. I am super-hyped for the new Legend of Zelda though, and I can't wait to pre-order a Nintendo NX when it becomes available.

  • Building with Lego bricks, collecting Figma, and building Gundam models. I love toys, and those are my top 3. I do love any kind of geeky memorabilia, though, so anything that I recognize is fair game. ;)

Aaand I can't think of anything else right now, so I'll wait for your posts!

Well, now that you have your own topic with your pseudonym as its title, are you finally going to keep your name? :P

Tenth Avenue North is one of my favorite artists too! Their "Forgive Them" song (is that its title?) is really great. Some others that I enjoy are Casting Crowns, Matthew West, and Jeremy Camp.

Hiruko Kagetane

Probably. Well, for now at least. I also listen to Casting Crowns! I'll be in Colorado from Thursday to the next Wednesday, and we're going to go to Focus on the Family, so I'm wondering what music I should get from them. I'll keep your suggestions in mind, thanks Matthew!

Wow, Matthew! Tenth Avenue North! I have to say, I never would have guessed that you would be a fan of theirs. :P But yes, I too would call them one of my favorites, if not my favorite band.

P.S. The song you're referring to is called "Losing." :)

Hiruko Kagetane

AHH! You finally post here! PLEASE give me some suggestions for music, as I'm going to Focus! I want to know what to get when I'm there!

We coulda figured all this out by seeing all your other posts, but it's nice to have it boiled down to one like this. Yes, I do know who I am. It'd be a little strange if I didn't… :P

Tenth Avenue North is also one of my favorite bands, though many Christian rap artists come very close, some including Shai Linne, Trip Lee, Tedashi (sp?), KJ52, and others. These bands almost always pack a lot of theology into their songs, so I LOVE 'em.

I also like video games; but have way fewer opportunities to enjoy them, as Mr. Brickmaster does, but I'm rather glad for that. Otherwise, I would waste a LOT of time on, really, nothing. But why do I do "nothing" in the first place, ever? Because it's okay to have some meaningless fun SOMETIMES, right? Right?

I like Legos, but I could never claim to be as much of a fanatic over them as Mr. Brickmaster (you could probably tell simply by his name). I like WATCHING stop-motion brick videos, but have never really tried to make one… Too much time consumption on something I'm not too interested on anyway.

I guess I've kinda added a bit more on to my own bio, haven't I? Oh well. Continue to talk about Brickmaster 2.0, if you please….. :D

EDIT–You are wise to ask COS about music, not me. Please do not ask me… I would have no idea… :P

Why do you say that? Is it because I use KJV? I didn't post anything on the contemporary vs. traditional music forum, did I? I've always liked most artists played on K-LOVE. (Most, not all - they've got some pretty hard stuff on there that doesn't appeal to me.) That's where I listen to most of my music, because I don't have the budget to buy all sorts of CDs. I used to be a big fan of 20 The Countdown Magazine before they stopped playing it on that radio station.

You like to watch them? Well I posted a link to one under the "Making Movies" forum, but no one's replied to it yet! If you have time take a look at it, it's really funny!

Hey y'all, just came back from the Vision Forum Father-Son Conference in Colorado! I'm now in Denver in our hotel, and will be going to Focus on the Family in 2 days! The conference was AWESOME! The main speaker was Doug Philips, but Kevin Swanson also spoke. There were also breakaway sessions, like Survival Training, and Compass and Map Training. There were also a lot of activities at the place, like kayaking and hiking and wiffleball and biking and swimming, it was AWESOME! And I grew a lot closer to God and to my dad!

Hiruko Kagetane

I forgot to mention tomahawk and knife throwing, and basketball, and volleyball too! It's was an awesome conference!

BTW, I came back from Focus, and I almost got Tenth Avenue North's newest CD, but I missed it. I saw it, then went to look at books, and by the time I came back it was gone. The only one left was "The Light Meets the Dark", and I've already listened to that. So I'll have to ask COS if I can borrow it from y'all. But I do have a present for him, so maybe we'll trade….

SavedByGrace

Ha! Christian trade "The Struggle"?! You must be crazy. Unless you have a hugely great present… :P

KNIFE THROWING??? Okay, now I wish I could've gone. But I'm sure you'll be thrilled to tell us all about it (and make us super jealous) this evening. :P Hey, was there any fencing? I bet you would've won that… :)

Surprisingly I am alright…….I simply like the name of my favorite DC character….at least for now……..oh yeah, and Damian is Bruce Wayne's son, A.K.A Batman's son, and the new Robin.

Hello, brother. I am getting the idea your names are a challenge to keep up with! One Christian artist I greatly enjoy is Christian Berdahl. My 16-year-old daughter probably has all of his albums. She just bought me "The Appearing: Heaven's Lamb". I really enjoy it. It sounds like this is probably not the type of music you generally listen to, but I encourage you to check it out! (I'm hoping it's okay to post this here…) http://www.shepcall.com/heavens-lamb/

My children like to watch Lego animations of Bible stories from time to time. I have looked into what is involved with making those, and it sounds like it would take a lot of patience! I guess it depends on what we enjoy, huh? (My husband just told me the other day as I was inking in a coloring page I drew for Thanksgiving, "I'm glad that's you and not me–I could never have that much patience!" But the fact of the matter is, I love it. :))

Hello, I'm sorry I haven't replied yet, I haven't been n this page in a bit since I thought no one was replying to it anymore! Yes, I do that with my username just to keep people guessing. Plus, it's fun figuring out what theme my next username will come from!

Yes, it does take patience to brickfilm! Have your kids seen the ones by Shatterpoint Entertainment? They did the 10 Plagues, the 40 Years of Wandering, and their latest Jericho: The Promise Fulfilled.

Sheila Edeliant

No problem. I don't think we have seen those ones. I have always like the story of Jericho. Joshua 1:9 is one of my favorite verses: "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." :)

Hiruko Kagetane

Ah, it's been a while since I posted here! The pressures of high school are closing in, and I'm only 5 years away from being 20! AHH! That's scary! Oh well. Anyhooler, I just wanted to give y'all an update, and BTW, for those of you who saw the Hobbit, did you get all the dwarves names straight? I got confused…….

93fcb35bede1ac128cb83b71e8060885?s=128&d=mm

SavedByGrace

They did a good job of keeping the dwarves fairly separate, but how good of a job can you do when there are thirteen of them?? :P

3efdb816df3c53b20fed57ee9b4779f0?s=128&d=mm

Hiruko Kagetane

I know, right? I mean EVERYBODY knows Thorin, and the twins Fili and Kili were hard to miss, and Balin was the one that befriended Bilbo, but the others get confusing…..

3efdb816df3c53b20fed57ee9b4779f0?s=128&d=mm

Hiruko Kagetane

Wow, it's quiet in here too……..wait, does that mean SBG is gonna try to scare me again? I better get prepared…picks up stray lightsaber I don't think Obi-Wan'll miss this too much.
