@Rosie – I have something to ask you, though if you don't have the time, I understand completely. Because of my sickness, and trying to finish most of my school before my surgery, I don't know if I'll have the time to write out the study on diligence. Would you mind doing it this time, and hopefully I can the next time? I feel really bad asking you this, but I don't think I'd be able to get it done for a while…. if you decide to, you can just send it the next time you send a letter, I don't want you to have to use more postage on me than you already do! :)

Bethany ~ You asked me on the phone a week ago or so if it would be all right if you could just call whenever Saturday afternoons (if nothing is going on that is) instead of us always needing to update each other here; and I had said that would be completely fine- so just to clarify, unless I let you know if something is going on over here, you can feel free to call anytime Saturday afternoons before 5:00 my time (if you are available that day). To answer your question about how long it was until solid foods were allowed for me:

Well, my situation was quite different from yours, but it may be around the same amount of time. If I remember correctly, it was several weeks. I got used to it, for the most part. I ate a lot of yogurt, applesauce, soup, milkshakes, mashed potatoes, and stuff like that. It wasn't so bad after a while. But I was glad to get back to normal eating.

I'm not sure how much different your procedure is going to be, though. Whereas mine was a more drawn-out process, yours is going to be an all-at-once thing, so it may be more painful to eat and/or move your mouth, I don't know.

But, I hope everything goes well, and I'll be thinking of you on Monday. Make sure to tell the nurses and doctors who put you to sleep that you have a whole lot of people praying for you. That's what I did. :)

Yeah, I'm trying to enjoy eating normal food for these last 2 days :) For the first month, I'll be eating only things through a straw and really runny mashed potatoes. After that month, I'll move up to scrambled eggs (not my favorite food, by any means!) and well-syruped pancakes :)

One other random question – have you had your wisdom teeth pulled? I had mine out last December, because they said that my mouth wouldn't be up to having something like that done for a long while after my surgery.

Yes! I received your letter two days ago - it hadn't been on my mind at all, so I was very suprised and excited to receive it. Mom had been in the car about to leave, and she stopped at the mailbox to get the mail, and when she saw a letter for me, she called, and said I had a letter from someone - it then hit my mind that it was from you, and I actually ran down the driveway to get it! :D Talk about excitement :D Thank you so much! It really brightened my day. And you are very welcome - I was thinking about your surgery on Thursday last week, and thought I'd write a little note to suprise you either while you were in the hospital, or after you got to go home :-) Anyway, I'm continuing to pray for you every day - love you!
(Btw, if you hadn't noticed, I am in a talkitive mood right now…:D Happens every once and a while…)
