I really like watching professional football-NY Giants, anyone?-and I cheer for the NY Yankees, but I don't really enjoy watching baseball. I also play very unorganized soccer some Sundays after church, which is usually enjoyable.

Hey, this is the perfect time to start this topic… today we are having a championship at our local homeschool soccer group–GMOV, I, and our team are competing against two of Octo's younger brothers who are not on Memverse and their team, and COS and his team is against Octo and Christ's Handmaiden and their team. :) I'll update you on who wins…

Jackie - are you from NY? :) I really like watching professional football, and my favorite team is the Broncos. As far as Major League baseball goes, I cheer for the Twins, but I don't have much hopes in them this year. ;)
Does anyone out there like golf? If so, have you heard of Amy Anderson, the young lady who golfs for NDSU? She is going to Scottland this summer, and then to the Czech Republic not long after that. I think it's her first time out of the country, except for Canada. She was homeschooled! BTW, her Mom is on Memverse.

I play baseball, and it is my favorite sport. I also did a little archery during late January and February.

No!!! GMOV and I lost to Octo's brothers!!! 1 to 0!!

However, COS beat Octo and CH, so that's a little consolation… jk

Me, too. :) Not my brother, though. Dad likes the Twins and the Broncos, but my brother like the Yankees and the Packers. I don't know where he got that from… :)

The Packers? Oh, man, they really annoyed me last year because they were so GOOD. :) At least, until they lost in the playoffs.
I cheer for them at times; if they play the Redskins, Eagles, or Cowboys, I really don't have much of a choice.
And by the way, what do you think of Tim Tebow?

I REALLY like Tim Tebow!!! I love how he is not ashamed to be bold about his faith. I was pretty disappointed when he was traded to the Jets, though. I don't like the Jets! But I know God had a reason for it, even if I don't know what it is! :)

Yeah, I don't cheer for the Jets much. Tim Tebow's a great guy and his faith is admirable, but he gets so much attention-I wouldn't be surprised if there's more than one girl in my church who cheers for him-it's kind of annoying. Nothing against his character, though. It's not every day you see someone like him on the news.

Being in NE Ohio, we're gluttons for devastating heartache and loss after loss.

With the Indians, we have the '97 World Series and being 2 outs away from winning it.

With the Browns, we have the 80's and those dreaded Broncos, as well as the 90's and leaving town and coming back only to be perennial losers in the new millennium.

With Cavs, there's just one word: LeBron.

Yet we continue to root for these teams, as if we enjoy pain as an everyday aspect of life. Uuuuugggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!

Does anyone on here like college sports. If so, what is your favorite team. I like Ohio State.

Also the same pretty much everywhere else in the world. ;) Especially in Spanish countries where soccer is futbol, and football is futbol americano. :P

I did not know that. I did know that in some places it is like that but I didn't know that that was the way it was in France. That's nice to know.

Do you like the Colts and the Giants because they have the Manning brothers? Oops! I forgot Peyton switched to the Broncos. But whenever I hear the Indianapolis Colts I will always think of Peyton Manning.

A football team, maybe? ;-) To be honest, I'm not really that into sports.

Well, I can help you narrow it down. The winner of the Super Bowl will either be Michigan State University or the University of Arizona. Or maybe the Detroit Tigers? :D

Yep, I'm not into sports either. I used to be, but this year I had other major projects up until a week or so before Bible Bee (then there was Bible Bee, now there's Thanksgiving) so I haven't followed sports at all.

Hey, I run distance, or I did graduated last year :) I also follow the NFL, Minnesota Vikings, Adrian Peterson :) other than that not much, like to follow highschool sports teams in our area :)

I think the ravens r going to beat the 49ers but I really don't want them to. Any one else?

I hope the 49ers beat the Ravens too, but I don't know enough about football to guess who will win.

I think the 49'ers will beat the Ravens.
The Ravens have the momentum.
The 49'ers have the better defense.
I hate to go against Rice, but I think with their offensive line and Gore, James, and even Kaepernick I think they have the better running game.
I think it's a wash as far as QB's.
So I'd have to advantage 49'ers.

I want the Ravens to win since it's Lewis's last season. One of the scariest linebackers in history. That is, until Clowney makes it into the NFL. :)

I think the 49ers r the better team they r just Inconsistent and ravens just have that good ish going on right now if u no what I mean. They beat the patriots who r well getting 'older' but still one of the best teams in the NFL.
@SoulWinner - ray Louis is defenetly one of the scariest players ever, probably because of the way he does his eye paint he looks scary but he's just a weird person lol. He talks about God and stuff but he still freaks me out lol. Who is Clowney? It sounds familiar given I'm vaguely familiar with collage football is he in collage? Lol did any one here about Manti Teow or something like that (idk how to spell his name) the linebacker for the Irish who had that fake girlfriend and all that?

Patriots are like the Lakers: They've got all the talent, they're just really old! :D Well, not too old but you get my point. As for Clowney, I forgot his first name. I'm not very involved in college football myself, but all my friends at co-op are talking about him and that play where he knocked the quarterbacks helmet off! The Manti Teow thing doesn't ring a bell, but seriously? The guy had a fake girlfriend? Shows you how desparate people get these days :)

Haha very funny he says he didn't no she was fake but he would have to have been really stupid 2 have fallen for such a hoax. He said (before he 'figured out' the whole thing was made up) on national TV that he was playing for his girlfriend and his grandma who had both died of cancer in the last year. His grandma really did die of cancer but his girlfriend obviously didn't because she was a made up person by some guy for no apparent reason. They were dating online I think but they never met in person ( for some strange reason even though he told his family he traveled to Hawaii to see her like 3 times. Go figure lol :)) he said he talked to her every night on the phone while she was in the hospital (from cancer) but of corse she wasn't real so either this guy is a crazy in the head (lol) or the guy who made this whole thing up had someone pretend they were her. Lol the whole thing is crazy! He said it didn't occur to him to visit her in the hospital (he says she was the love of his life too who he never met in person!) it just gets crazier but I should probably stop 4 now. :) I can't believe u never heard about this?

That's ok. Do u play volleyball? All the girls on our highshool volleyball team r pretty but they r really snobby. Idk I bet u liked watching the Olympics this year than? I'm a swimmer so I like the Summer Olympics a lot.

Yeah with all that running everyone probably would have been in shape pretty quickly lol. I'm horrible at volley ball but it is a really fun sport. :)
@soulwinner- they aren't 'dating' anymore! For one she is 'dead' and two he didn't know she was fake when they were 'dating'! Lol it was an online relationship. U no like one of those dating websites.
