How much time did you have left?
Started by Bethany Frisk (RD)Bethany Frisk (RD)
I know that this is late but I wanted to know how much time youhad left in the orals and the written.
2 Corinthians 5:17
I had one minute and 37 seconds left in the oral round, ( I didn't pass any) and about 1 minute left in the written.
Matthew Minica
I had more than two minutes left in the oral round (I don't know exactly how many seconds) and about 2 minutes left in the written.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Wow! You must have spoke fast!
Matthew Minica
Yeah, and I forgot to mention that I didn't pass any and started over only once. It helped that they didn't include the five longest passages. So yeah, I probably could have gone a little bit slower… :) But I asked my mom, and she said my enunciation was excellent, so I don't think it hurt my score any.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Praise the Lord, I didn't pass any either, but I did start over twice, because I thought I said a wrong word ;)
Matthew Minica
Hey Rachel, Isaac and Aaron haven't told us how they've done yet, so can you inform us, at least about their placing?
2 Corinthians 5:17
Sure :) Isaac placed 1st in the Juniors, and Aaron placed…I'm not sure…don't remember…was it 4th? They also had another brother who was Senior, he placed 5th.
Where did you place?
Matthew Minica
I was second place, but the first place girl (who has been to Nationals all three years) tells me she thinks we were pretty close in score. I guess we'll find out soon.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Did you find out you score yet?
Matthew Minica
No, and I don't think I will try to. It just seems not fair for me to know my score and others to not know theirs - I say that because I think it's unfair that I don't know my score and others do. :)
2 Corinthians 5:17
I know exactly what you mean…it's so hard to wait!!! :)
Bethany Frisk (RD)
I had 4 mineuts left on orals and 11 in written
Emily H
I had just under two minutes left in orals and I started over once because I started saying 1 Chronicles 16:8-12 instead of Psalm 9:1-4. I only said like three words though, before I realized I wasn't saying the right thing. :P
I was at like question 175 or 180 or something when they called 15 minutes, but I went back through and checked some of my answers when I finished. I didn't have enough time to check all of them though.

I had 2 minutes 1 second left in the oral round, and I didn't finish the written test. I missed the last 8 questions!
Sydney (aka The Gopher)
I had over 2 minutes left in orals and 20 in written. Did anyone find the written test hard?
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
I had 3 minutes 27 seconds left in orals, and about 15 minutes left in written.
Barachel the Buzzite of the Kindred of Ram
I had a little over 4 minutes on the oral test( but sadly I missed a whole verse and didn't realize it!), and over 5 minutes on the written test.
Sir Walter (Jimmy)
I had 3 to 4 minutes left on my oral test, and around 16 to 18 minutes left on my written test. :)
Thomas Youngman
I think I had around two or three minutes left on my oral round, and maybe three or four minutes left on my written test.
Isaac
Aaron got 3rd. I had 2:38 left on the oral round and about 3 minutes on the written test I think. I did not pass on any or ask for any helps or start-overs. I also did not have to have any start-overs because of mis-pronunciation.
2 Corinthians 5:17
That's great. What was your older brother's name again? I forgot.
Christian Alexander
SBG and I both finished with exactly 2 minutes and 41 seconds to spare in the oral round. I probably would have gone slower had I known that they were going to leave out all 5 of the longest passages: 2 Peter 3:3-9, Ezekiel 36:23-27, Ephesians 6:10-18, Galatians 1:11-17, and Acts 20:18-24.
With regard to the written test, I didn't check exactly, but I think I finished with about 5 or so minutes left on the clock. I spent the rest of the time checking over my answers and making a couple of changes.
