Is anyone's church sponsoring missions?
Ianator
My church is sending a missions trip to Haiti. My church is also sponsoring missionaries in France, Malaysia, Germany and several other places.
SavedByGrace
Our church sponsors a missionary in Italy, one in the Dominican Republic, one in Romania, and one in Lebanon. I think there was another one, but I don't remember…

People from my church go to Mexico on missions trips very often. My pastor is in France right now for the first time. I hope to go on a missions trip soon. :)

I think my pastor and the other members of the church just go there. We live in texas so it is not to far to go to Mexico. We usually go to Durango. There have been missions trips to Venezuela, Guatemala, Columbia, mainly the countries in central america. This is the first time our pastor has been to France, and he went with people from CFNI. CFNI is the bible college I live right next too. Oh and don't worry about the spelling; I know i can be way off sometime, too! :D

I am 14. Our youth group is trying to go to Mexico to visit an orphanage we are sponsoring. I don't know when we are going. Probably some time in January or so. Oh, yeah. And if you really messed up with spelling, just click edit adn you can edit your post. :o

Hey Ashley! I have not been on in awhile, because I was out of town. Looks like Astroleah beat me to answering your questions, but I really had no idea anyways. :D

Well, my pastor came back the other day. He has some really funny stories about France, and how much breakthrough there has been over there. I think he said that France is largely muslim, and that you can only witness there one week the whole year.

This summer, I went on a medical mission trip to Mexico with my brother through a christian organization (http://www.ima-missions.org/) that we found out about through some friends. It was amazing and very interesting.

You could! and actually you don't have to be a doctor to help. The organization that I went with will take anyone. Additionally, you could be a NURSE and a missionary, too.
God's Maiden of Virtue
Yea!!! What a wonderful oppertunity that will be! I will be praying for you.
SavedByGrace
Congratulations! I pray that the Lord would save many souls there during your trip–or at least plant the seeds for many souls to be saved later. :)

I will be praying. May the Lord open the eyes of people, in order to bring them to His marvellous word! Praying that His hand of protection will be over you! God Bless!

And just as a reminder–don't water down the gospel! So many missions trips today are void of the gospel and accomplish nothing except providing for the temporary needs of unbelievers. The whole point of missions trips is to spread the gospel–so do so, and don't leave out the essential parts of the good news! God bless! :)

Here's something I learned at Seneca Hills during the Missions meetings.
1 in 3 people groups have not heard the Gospel. 8000 out of 24,000 people groups have not heard the Gospel. 80% of them are Muslim. 30,000 Muslims die every day without knowing Christ. There are 3 Christian missionaries for every 1 million Muslims. Where are these missionaries? 90% of them are in Christian nations, or nations where most people have already heard at least a little bit of the Gospel. There are 7000 languages in the world. Only 450 have the entire Bible. 4,500 have none of it, and the rest don't have a complete Bible translation.
It's kinda scary when you think about it.
