So I just watched the 1st minute or 2 of that Video that was posted and it totally changed my opinion on him……… Wow. I'm disappointed.

@Danielle: Yeah.. I think the Bilmey Cow things are pretty good… :)but some of them are a little overboard. (like, a little loud and in your face!) But most of them are REALLY funny and very true! lol
Has anyone ever seen the Jostie Flicks?? Now those are great!!! :D

Are you all being serious about blimey cow or joking? You know that he is a homeschooler himself and he is just mimicking what people say about homeschoolers. He doesn't actually believe all of that.

Even a lot of kids who go to public school that I know are anti-Justin Beiber…….but you have to admit, it's funny when little kids try to say his name, and they say "Justin Beaver"!

(see edit:)

Yeah - we have seen Jostie Flicks. Some of them are kinda cheesy, though. Blimey Cow is usually funnier. So why don't you like Blimey Cow?

97fa1ec40fdc4a16f60081f8f1dbb384?s=128&d=mm

Anna Mieczkowski

@Zach - I'm sorry. I needed to clarify who I am talking about. I am totally against Justin Beiber and have never heard him sing (at least to my knowledge) and don't want to. I was speaking about Blimey Cow, not Justin Beiber.

Dani(elle)

@Anna- I'm beings serious. I know he was homeschooled, and I know he was joking but I don't find some of the things they say funny. In fact, I don't think anything they said was really funny.

I've never heard him thankfully, but all the Christians I know say that, and research confirms it.

Guys whose voices can go that high just freak me out……I mean, I know some guys voices are high, but that's "high for a guy" you might say. Not "high like a girl" high. No offense girls.

Anna Mieczkowski

@ Danielle - Why not? So that movie isn't funny to me any more because I have watched it a few times. But really, have you checked out more of their videos?

97fa1ec40fdc4a16f60081f8f1dbb384?s=128&d=mm

Anna Mieczkowski

@all - PLLEEASSEE understand that I was NOT talking about Justin Bieber. Again, I have never heard him and hope I never will.

Anna, RELAX! We understand! Just because we can't actually hear you doesn't mean we can't tell your feelings by your posts! And by your posts, I can see that you're a girl who wants to glorify God in everything she does! And even though we disagree on some things, I respect you. So c'mon, relax, huh?

I have never heard him and hope I never will.

I agree with that too!

SUBJECT CHANGE: Do any of you use Saxon Math? I use it and am in the Advanced Mathematics (pre-calc)

You are not serious, Zachary. How long did it take you to finish that Saxon Algebra 2 you told us about a long time ago? I don't know how you do it! Thankfully, I don't use Saxon anymore, I use Teaching Textbooks :)

ZachB

I think it was 1.5 years or something.

And why is it that everyone I talk to has a BAD report about Saxon? What's so wrong with Saxon?

A3806e5a47ff9fa527155bd268c37099?s=128&d=mm

Because some things they explain I don't understand at all, and they give you the same kind of problems over and over, even though I learned how to do it on the first lesson. I don't know why exactly, it's just not my favorite.

I still don't get why that's a problem. Math has never been a fav subject for me (I averaged a 86 last year and am averaging a 97 so far this year)

Both my siblings thought his name was Justin Beaver. (And one is older than me.) We thought it was awesome and now they're kinda sad they know the real thing. :P

Teaching Textbook is awesome!! That's my fav part in "you know you're a homeschooler if…" when they say: "you shudder when you hear the word saxons" :P

Dani(elle)

I do not like Saxon math at all! I wish I used Teaching Textbooks. :( Saxon is very hard, I'm hoping it will pay off when I get to SATs and stuff.

I use DIVE and yes, Saxon will pay off eventually because it is ingraining all these concepts into your head. At least it is for me. I think their philosophy is repitition, repitition, repitition. Saxon's good for some people, and other might want teaching textbooks :D

@Danielle The SAT is a logic test and Saxon really won't help you when it comes to the math problems. I recommend a logic book such as the prep book for the LSAT(the test lawyers take to get into law school and stuff like that) I have a copy and it makes you think in ways you wouldn't even think about! Oh yea and there is this book called College Prep Genius that teaches you a lot of tips and tricks for the SAT. I take a class at my co-op and I just recently hosted a Jeorpady quiz game for the whole class on strategies for the SAT. Taking it at a co-op helps out a lot because you are with friends and you can study together later on and quiz each other :)

lol The DIVE dude does make it more understandable. The SAT is not that bad either. I did pretty good on a practice test, and depending on what college you go to, the SAT score requirements are usually in the 600-700 range. On a conventional scale, a 75 to a 90. (Don't bother trying to do the math :)
