Lol Hobbit soundtrack all the way!! Only, It can get kinda distracting when u want to start quoting entire 20 minute segments of the movie! :) lol

For those of you Narnians who haven't read the Lord of the Rings, did you know C.S. Lewis and J.R.R Tolkein were really good friends? They ofter swapped manuscripts, to see each others work. In fact, that might be the reason The Magician's Nephew has such an emphasis on…………rings.

I knew that! Did you know Tolkein criticized Lewis for putting Santa Claus in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe?

What do non-homeschooled kids usually say to you when you tell them you're homeschooled?

"Wow, so do you like being homeschooled???!!!!"

They like kinda stutter and then says something like 'do you like being homeschooled?' Trying really hard not to offend you. :) LOL

They ask me that, too, and:
"Do you do normal stuff like math and social studies?"
"Do you have to be in class on time?"
"How much free time do you have?"
etc.
Most of all, once I'm done telling them about what it's like:
"Man…I wish I was homeschooled!"

Exactly!!! And they always ask me "Do you like have to do tests??"

It's like they're trying so hard not to offend you it's like 'It's OK!! I'm not made of glass!!!!!!!!!!!!'

Little kids ask the strangest questions, but the kids your age ask them in the stranget WAY.
"So your MOM'S your TEACHER??"
"I wondered why you talk like that!" (Oh, that's called "correct grammar".)
"Do you ever do recess?"
"How do you spell (some random word)?" (This is one of my favorites, because spelling is one of my stronger points, as opposed to English, math, science, and almost everything else EXCEPT for spelling!)

I literally laughed out loud when I read that! Hahaha!

I laugh out loud when I hear it!

I never get those except they ask, "soo…..like…..who is your teacher?'

Oh about spelling, I don't think anyone's asked me that because I said I was homeschooled…but anytime we do anything for Bible Bee, it's so funny, people will stand back and read our sign
"Bible Bee, Family Discipleship One Verse at a Time
Encourage, Recognize, Reward"

And then they come up and say "Oh cool! So how do you spell Nebuchadnezzar??"

I usually get stuff like "carburetor" and "quintessential". No one's asked me about "floccinaucinihilipilification" yet though.

Lol! I can spell things if I am writing them and can see them, but I'm awful at spelling things out loud without writing them down first!!! I'd have to be like "Hold on a sec." grabs a sticky note and pen starts scribbling "Uh, just like that!!!" :P

Yeah, I get lost when I'm spelling out loud.

My friends and I like to joke about the "double O in homeschooled" . Thats whenever you tell someone you are homeschooled and they go, "Oo!" Then I feel like saying, "Hey! While your still in school, I'm out building tree forts with my friends!" (Or however that goes……)

Not really it's just I heard that song the other day and it seemed to fit the conversation.:) lol

I didn't know about Tim Hawkins until not too long ago when a friend showed me his song about fire ants… :) Then I started started watching more and they are really funny!

I guess I need to get married, have kids, and then start homeschooling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D (but I'm in no hurry of course! :P)
