One is almost done with college. :P

The other two are quite a bit younger and yes, I could help them, but it's not the same as doing the planning…

LOL….I was kinda sad when my mom brought home the paper and markers and stuff for my little sisters. :( :P
But you're right…I don't really want to think about school. :P

2 Corinthians 5:17

I heard a"quote" the other day and it struck me kind of funny….went something like this:
"Yup. It happened. Another day went by and I didn't use Algebra once!" :) :P

@Dani: LOL You're the only person who ever calls me that :)
@Madi: Uhhhhhhhh……..all of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I won't ever use it and it is so hard to comprehend.
@Rachel: I like that quote!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry you don't like it. :( It's a shame…since it's so fun!
Maybe you'll like Geometry. Have you done that yet?
I've heard that peoples who like geo don't like algebra and the other way around. And then, people who don't like Chemistry like bio and the other way around. It must have something to do with the brain. I didn't like Chem or Geo… :(

It's not fun!!!!!!! I haven't done Geometry yet. I have heard the same thing about Geometry and Algebra…but not about Chemistry and Biology. I like Biology but I think Chemistry is going to be dreadful!

:( I bet you'll like Geometry then. :)
I loved Biology. But Chemistry was awful! :P
It's really good to be "done" with those now!!

I've heard something like that, too. Basically, people are either right-brain dominant (visual-spatial) or left-brain dominant (auditory-sequential). Algebra uses left-brain processes, but geometry uses right-brain processes. I'm visual-spatial, and from the tiny bit of geometry I had in my elementary math books, I have a feeling I'm going to like it a lot more than algebra. My algebra work and I never got along very well.

Madi

Hmm….very interesting… I must be…strange. :P
I'm a very visual-spatial person, but I liked and was way better at algebra. It's also funny because the right-brain/left-brain thing is like music vs. math and I seem to be a very musical person, but math doesn't really bother me either. (like…I don't struggle with it…I guess I'm not a genius at it either though.)

When I did Chemistry, the only bad thing that happened to me was that I received my book late, as it was an online class. And it was a summer class, so we had class every weekday. So, I was almost always consistently behind in the class. Otherwise, Chemistry wasn't that bad. Although I'm retaking it to get a better grade.

Agh! That would be my worst nightmare! I LOVE homeschooling!

Hey guys, here's a homeschooled joke.

You're a homschooler if you and your siblings argue about verb tenses during lunch. :)

Dani(elle)

Lol. Did I tell u one of my two mistakes on the Oral rounds was a verb tense?? It made no sense lol I said "God rose him from the dead" instead of "god raised him from the dead" :) lol

I know I kinda started laughing in the middle of the passage. It was ok though cause it was the last one and I hadn't even gotten my 2 minute warning yet. :) lol

That's great! How do you recite? Like, do you look at the judges, or close your eyes, or do inflection or what? (You probably said on one of the other forums, but I forgot:)

Efca8a58376d35a79ababc988cf86b5c?s=128&d=mm

Dani(elle)

I don't think I did. :) I mostly looked around the little room I closed my eyes several time and I had my arms folded behind my back the whole time. I could feel my pluse in my upper arm and it was going so fast!!! :) lol
How do u recite?

I closed my eyes super tight and squeezed my hands together :P and leaned side to side (I don't really know what it's called). I don't remember if it was during orals or written or final challenge, but I could feel my heart beating sooooo fast. :P Did you have your parents watch?

D31c974fe43f1230dbcb183971bfbdec?s=128&d=mm

Emily H

No, they didn't come in with me. My mom hosts, so she has always been to busy at locals to watch me, and my dad was busy during the first part of the day. :)

My mom insisted on coming in with me. :P I wasn't too opposed to it, but I didn't prefer it. Anyway, I just stood still with my thumbs in my pockets, staring at the window behind the judges. It went pretty well! :)

I've never even had a parent with me at locals, because our family runs a corn maze, and the BB is always on the opening weekend:(

Yea, but I think I might tend to get nervous if they were in the judging room with me. Although this year, in my judging room, I wasn't nearly as nervous as normally. My Contestant judge asked me if I had ever done this before, because he thought I looked confident. This is my fifth year. By the way, what category are you in? I noticed the blue T on your side picture, does that mean your a Junior?

SavedByGrace

Well, actually, I was a Junior for four years up to this year, in which I was a Senior. That picture was from last year, so I could have been wearing my Junior shirt, but I actually was not. :} That is my "Courageous" shirt (based on the movie by Sherwood Pictures).

Random, but you know, when you put that up as your picture on the National qualifier page, that was the first year I qualified, and I didn't know you guys at all. So when I saw you at Nationals (I don't know if you remember that or not) I was thinking "Oh, that's the Courageous kid" :P :P

I've been a Senior for two years now, and I still wear my junior shirts more then my senior shirts! One of my brothers has a Courageous shirt too!

I wear my Junior shirts WAY more than the Senior one!!!!!!!! I really don't like wearing red :P
