This is a topic where we can talk about the weather (obviously), and about storms that we are expecting, or have already hit in our areas.
Dani(elle)
You would start this topic lol. :)
Ian R.2
Yeah I would. :P
BTW, If I unsubscribe from the topic I made, will it delete the topic?
Ian R.2
Cool!
Thanks!

Hey guys. Here's a weather related prayer request. Please pray that it doesn't rain here tonight. I have a game tonight, and it might be my last of the year, and I was probably going to pitch tonight. Thanks!
Dani(elle)
What?? Ur prob gonna pitch? That's awesome! :)
Madi
Ya want to talk about my weather?? Rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, I luv it, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, this is rather calming once you get in the rhythm. :P I'll try to stop though.
Priscilla K.
Sounds like our area right now:( We had a high of forty-five today I think:( No, it's not good harvesting weather.
Ian R.2
Well it would have been awesome, but my game was cancelled at about 6, way before the rain hit. :( My game probably would have been cancelled though cause it started to rain right when the game would have started.
2 Corinthians 5:17
I don't know if this has anything to do with the weather, but has anyone been having problems with "herds" of stinkbugs? They are everywhere here! :P
Madi
Gross! We have very few stink bugs here. Actually, we have very few of any kind of bug! So blessed!!! :)
2 Corinthians 5:17
But I'm sure cats are everywhere…right? :P
Ian R.2
They're everywhere here too, and I think it has to do with the change in seasons.
Mommy's Helper
It is raining right now.
Madi
LOL…actually…. :P There used to be this cat that did it's business in our yard and that was really annoying!
I think he ended up on a "lost cat" sign though if ya know what I mean. :P (Around here a "lost cat" sign usually means the cat ended up as coyote dinner! And all God's people said….. "Yay! One less cat in the world!" LOL….sorry, I can't help myself sometimes. :P)
2 Corinthians 5:17

We've lost a number of cats due to coyotes! :(

Bethany Meckle
We're getting spiders and millipedes now with fall coming. Yuck!
@Madi - my dad would be happy for the cat. :P He hates cats.
Ian R.2
We're expecting a big storm soon. Yay! :)
Emily H
Oooh, I love sucking up bugs in the vacuum… :P It's such a wonderful feeling… :P

LOL =D
Madi
Wow…I always new WA didn't have that many bugs, but I didn't know it was this different from the rest of the US. Y'all seem to know all about the bug thing. That's kinda gross that they're in your house. :P
Ian R.2
No I haven't really studied weather patterns on different planets, but some can be kinda cool. :)
Ian R.2
We flush them down the toilet too. Of course if we're closer to the door we just trap them in a cup and through them out. We don't kill them because if we do the bug will release a pheromone that will attract more stink bugs.

Quick weather question: Have any of you guys been affected by a tornado before, or an area near you.
When I was up at Grove City College for Worldview Academy, we had to go down to this basement gymnasium not knowing what exactly was happening. The staff kept us entertained, but we didn't know until the end that we were under a tornado warning, and a tornado had touched down a little south of us. I was kinda disappointed that I had missed the tornado. :)
A few years ago a tornado came into our area, and tore off the roof of the gymnasium at our local high school.
I'm not sure if this was the same tornado or not, but the baseball field I play on was damaged by a tornado. Thankfully the fences were okay, but one of the dugouts was destroyed.
biblebee
Well, we've had to go to our basement cause of a tornado…that didn't actually hit. But it was a BIG storm. The wind was blowing, you couldn't see a thing outside, plants and trees were hurt, etc…
Also, a little south of us, a tornado hit Joplin, MO.
Emily H
Tornado? What's that? I only know about earthquakes :P jk
Madi

Same here. :P

Tornadoes? Earthquakes? What are you people talking about?? :P
2 Corinthians 5:17
Tornadoes? Earthquakes? What are you people talking about?? :P
LOL…Ditto :D
Ian R.2
You guys get Earthquakes? Cool!
SavedByGrace
Yes, I'm sure earthquakes are absolutely awesome. :P
Ian R.2
I've always wanted to feel an earthquake. :)
SavedByGrace
I'm sure you've also always wanted your house to fall on top of you or to fall into a crack in the earth, or at the very least, to have many of your possessions destroyed? Yeah, me too. ;P
Ian R.2
No, just to feel the ground shake like it would in an earthquake. Even a small one would be cool. :)
SavedByGrace
Yeah, I guess. I was just joking around anyway. :)
Hiruko Kagetane
You know, at our natural history museum, there's a section where they have a simulated emergency broadcast about an earthquake, and the floor actually shakes! My sister went on it accidentally when she was younger, just to sit down, and she totally jumped up when it started shaking!
SavedByGrace
Awesome! I wonder how they did that?
Ian R.2
At the Carnegie Science Center they have something similar to that, but I would love to feel a real earthquake. :)
Cow
There was an earthquake here back in '11. It was pretty cool, but everybody was screaming because we thought our air conditioner was blowing up lol.
Emily H
Yeah, we get earthquakes. :P I guess their cool. Maybe. :P And yeah, the simulator thing is not really at all like the real thing.
@Hannah, LOL!!!
MilesChristiSum
We get earthquakes here, not usually very big ones though, we ususally go here: http://www.aeic.alaska.edu/recent/sub/index.html to find out if it was an earthquake or not, and how big and close it was.

Lol!
BREAKING NEWS! It's...ah...nobody important. nevermind.
About a year ago, I was sleeping (naturally) and I woke up with my whole bunk bed shaking. At first I honestly thought someone had attached full-auto gun to my bed, and was now firing it. I immediately grabbed my gun, (scared, I confess) until I realized it was an earthquake. It was quite an experience
Mommy's Helper
Wow.
Wait…. you have a gun right by your bed???
Lol that was funny When I saw "Weather by me 44 minutes ago" I knew it was you. :D
