I really like Matthew 28 and John 20:1-20. I think they may be my favorites. Yeah, the Genesis and Exodus ones are hard, because they were at the end (for me) and there are so many of them!
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
Aha. I would like to see the first movie (though I've heard some disappointing things about it) but I don't get quite that much into it. I just like reading the book.
Emily H
Hehe…that sounds like me with sight & sounds… :)
Dani(elle)
@Maler--uh....Dani, No, I haven't read or watched either :)
You should! U like Narnia they are kinda the same genera.. gag can't believe she actually grouped LOTR with Narnia gag
Emily H
I still have to perfect Matthew 28 and John 20:1-20… I did some Genesis and Exodus most every day, but I still had a bunch at the end. Do you use KJV?
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
LOTR and Narnia are completely different. reproving stare They are both excellent, but different.
Emily H
Lol! It does sound interesting :)
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
I use NKJV
Dani(elle)
The first hobbit was awesome. I don't really mean to be mean by saying this but… Truly only narrow minded people who don't understand the full depth of middle earth were disappointed by the fact the P.J. Made the story more 'well-rounded'
Emily H
Okay. How long have you done Bible Bee?
Dani(elle)
LOTR and Narnia are completely different. *reproving stare* They are both excellent, but different.
No think of it this way… Narnia is like LOTR for children.
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
Hmmm…the complaints I heard were more along the lines of the dwarves characters being changed, and things like that. I don't necessarily mind them adding back stories, but if they want to majorly change characters…
(empty threats always look better when they trail off menacingly don't you think?)
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
I've been doing the Bible bee since it started.
Emily H
Me too, except I didn't work like at all in 09.

I don't think of it that way…Lewis and Tolkien may have been friends, but they have completely different writing styles and philosophies.
Emily H

I'd have to agree.
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III

Yeah, I was really shocked when I found out I was going to Nats in 09. I've also gone in '11 and '12.
Emily H
That's really cool you qualified in 09! I've gone in '11 and '12. In 2010 I ranked 115

I couldn't agree more. But I will refrain from saying anything else less I nerd out on you. Lol

The only thing of the dwarfs character that I really can think of them changing was Kili has blonde hair in the book………. Lol

Alrighty, I have to go now :( (to recite verses:) Farewell Mahershalalhashbaz (I think I got that right:P) and Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite!! It was great talking with you both.
Dani(elle)
:) lol goodbye! I must go now to! Goodbye Sarah if ur still on! :)
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
Goodbye to both of you! I need to get off and go back to my verses anyway.
(And Mahershalalhashbaz, I'm not adamant on the point of them changing things, because as I said, I haven't watched it yet. If I do, I will be sure to post my thoughts on the LOTR thread.)
Dani(elle)
Ok :) always open for discussion. Lol I love talking about all things LOTR in case u haven't noticed. :) lol
Andrew

So dose anyone think I should change my user name? It’s fun to be “The Elusive Lady” but I guess it is a strange username too. (Dose anyone like it???)
BREAKING NEWS! It's...ah...nobody important. nevermind.
what does it mean?
Sarah B.
Well, elusive = mysterious, hard to pin down, vague, indefinable… etc.
BREAKING NEWS! It's...ah...nobody important. nevermind.
Of course i know what elusive is, so you're hard to pin down, vague, indefinable?
Sarah B.
What do you think? :) I'm willing to change it. Any better ideas?
Edit: poof
BREAKING NEWS! It's...ah...nobody important. nevermind.
unelusive lady?
Sarah B.
Great! sarcastically
I was Princess Cowgirl but I got lonely since all my cow- friends left and decided to change.
2 Corinthians 5:17
shakes head What in the world is up with all the obscure usernames?!?!!!!! I'm sooo confused :P
Sarah B.
Dose anyone else out there think I am defiantly unelusive?? :(
Sarah B.
Hi Rachel! I have no idea.
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
@ Every one who is confused by the usernames:
It is really quite simple. You either have the misfortune to live on the east coast, or you go to bed too early, or both.
I very clearly announced last night that it is Change Your Username to an Obscure Bible Character week.
2 Corinthians 5:17
I live on the east coast, but do not call it a misfortune.
Okay. Well, I'll consider it.
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
I live on the east coast, but do not call it a misfortune.
Oh dear me, no of course not. A slip of the tongue. My apologies.
Hiruko Kagetane
Anyone on?
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
hmmm…such questions always make me inherently suspicious. I may admit to being on after I discover your motives for asking.
Jarrett

It's okay :) Lol :)
Hiruko Kagetane
It's not bad Jarret! Thanks!
@ObscureBibleCharacter~ My motives are pure curiosity, madam.
Jarrett

Hiruko Kagetane
How've you been?
Jarrett
Good! You?
Jarrett
I have to go discus Ephesians now with my mom and brother! Bye!
Hiruko Kagetane
Okay, bye!
