I use Saxon…and I'm in Algebra 2.
Rachel the Alaskan
I think that Dani or I might have said that we use Christian Light Education for math. It's really nice because it's just in workbooks, unlike Saxon where you have that big heavy book and then your binder or whatever with your paper in it. CLE has 10 workbooks for each grade, and each one has 17 lessons. 2 quizzes and 1 final test. It's really nice!
biblebee
Okay. I REALLY don't like Saxon!!!!!
Rachel the Alaskan
Me, too! It's really hard to understand for me…
biblebee
Yup…and it doesn't help that I'm doing Algebra!
Rachel the Alaskan
shudder I'm doing pre-algebra. I like angles and stuff, though.
In It Not Of It
I LOVE cle!
Rachel the Alaskan
You use it too???
In It Not Of It
Not personally….I am in 11-12 grade, I'm doing a precalc book by a guy with the last name of FOERSTER.
but I teach my younger siblings, they use a lot of CLE, and i love how it is laid out, and so easy to understand!
In It Not Of It
we didnt find out about CLE till I was past able to use it :(
Rachel the Alaskan
Oh, okay. I'm doing 6th grade, but technically I'm supposed to be in 7th. I'm trying to finish up 6th but I'm only in book 603! And I can't find it now…
In It Not Of It
yes! that is the one problem! those little things get lost! I often find one kids book, in another kids school pile argh!!! how did this get here???!?!??!
You are fine! I was behind in 8th eighth grade, I was still in 7th grade math, but now I'm ahead in math. just do your best and work at your own pace. :)
Rachel the Alaskan
Yeah; I'm trying to do at least 2 lessons a day…when I have it… ;)
In It Not Of It

In It Not Of It

Hi Carissa and my dear nurse!
biblebee
Hey doc Stefani! ;)
Sarah B.
Sam says he doesn’t like my nurse act (see Prayer Request). He didn’t say anythingabout you so I’m assuming you can still be a doctor.
I'm fine… i guess
Sarah B.
I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Kinda blue, or green or purple or something… not me. Maybe I need a change of usernames… but if I do that my cousin will never find me b/c I told him my name was “The Elusive Lady.”
biblebee
Is your cousin getting on now?
Sarah B.
Probably not for a few days yet. Maybe not until after thanksgiving. :S
biblebee
Okay.
Sarah B.
I feel better now! I went in the kitchen and saw my sister making chocolate milk. I said, “I feel terrible!” She said, “You do? Something wrong with Memverse.” I said, “No, I want some chocolate milk.” Then we started laughing!
biblebee
LOL!!!!! Is your sister on Memverse?
Rachel the Alaskan
Oh, chocolate milk sounds yummy!
Sarah B.
No. :(
Sarah B.
YES! My sister makes it from raw milk! It is the BEST!

So, I've been thinking about how I would like to teach my children someday. It all has to be for the glory of God, and it should be interesting.
I know I would find my school easier and more enjoyable if it all had to do with what I'm interested in most, music and animals. But how would you incorporate that into, say, math, science, and history? Any ideas?
