Has anyone been affected by that big storm that's moving across the United States? And if it's heading your way, are you getting prepared for it?

What big storm?

The big winter storm.

Well, we might have it right now… earlier we had freezing rain…now we have sleet and tonight we should get snow.

That's it! We're expecting it to hit tonight through Sunday, and according to my mom the stores are a mad house!

I'm excited for it! We don't have enough snow here to sled yet. :)

We were supposed to get up to 8 inches of snow but now we are only supposed to get up to 5 inches :( How much are y'all expecting?

I've heard 3-5 in. and 4-8, so I'm not sure. :)

We had a bit of rain yesterday, that's all I know about storming around here lately.

It's snowing pretty good here, but there doesn't seem to be that much more snow on the ground. :/

Well the weathermen over here were so wrong! No snow :(

That's okay. I just looked outside to find that's it's really snowing, but the snow seems to be melting anyway. :(

As of yet, Port Orchard, Washington has experienced no snow this winter.

I am content for it to remain that way.

We get that much, but it melts down to 0-1 inch. :(

It is cold… that’s all I know! I told my neighbor it might snow tomorrow and she yelled at me “SARAH B. DON’T EVER SAY STUFF LIKE THAT!!!”

I'm planning on doing a daily forecast for all around the United States. I hope it works, and that I'm able to do it in an easy to understand way. I'm planning just on saying where the storms are in the nation, so if you don't here your area you're probably expecting a clear day. I really hope this works out! :)

Edit: I was just trying to figure out how to do it when I realized that I couldn't tell everyone what they would be expecting. Then I thought I could just say where the storms are right now and not where they are heading. Then I realized what would be the point of posting where the storms are if you guys are already experiencing them? I was really hoping this would work out, but it looks like it won't. :(

I anyone else getting hit with this arctic vortex? It's supposed to make the temperatures go way down. I think we're just getting hit with it now. The air is getting, and it's getting windy outside. We're expecting the temperatures to go down to -11 tonight. :)

It's really windy here and the temp is supposed to get down to -30 tonight.

It is freezing where I am, (Mount Vernon, OH). It is supposed to be -14 degrees tonight and tomorrow night. I bundling up tonight!

It's been hitting here, too; today and tomorrow, school (and thus, my work!) has been called off because of the cold. :)

We got it today. Tonight, we're expecting windchills down to -40 degrees. shivers

It's minus 11 degrees here (Missouri) right now, I don't know what the wind chill is.

I will say something that (if you live in Ohio) you may here a lot this week, "Is it cold enough for you?" lol

I woke up today, and it was -8! I heard it got down below -10 last night. I think it's finally in the single digits now! :P

When I woke up, it was 8! It doesn't get that cold around here very often, so I had to go stand outside :D :p

Haha! Did you guys hear about the boat expedition to prove that global warming was melting ice that got trapped in ice :D And they were following the path of a former explorer who had no problems whatsoever!

Same!!! :D And I read that they were going to plant trees to make up for the fuel they used. But now with all the fuel the rescue boats and helicopters used, they are going to have to plant a whole lot of trees :D
