Wow, that's cold! Haha! Did you guys hear about the boat expedition to prove that global warming was melting ice that got trapped in ice :D And they were following the path of a former explorer who had no problems whatsoever!

I'm enjoying the cooler weather in VA, though we got snow, but it didn't stay… I wish I had as much snow as there is at home right now!

Our weather in northern MI isn't so great either. Two snow days, and then today schools went back. The temps have been around the 1-10 degree range, with wind chills making it feel like -20 or so. :( It ruined my ski trip yesterday since it takes only about 20 minutes for exposed skin to be frostbitten in that cold. :/

See, we don't have wind in AK, so the only time it feels like -20 is when it actually is!

I don't particularly like the cold weather, only to ski, so I would really hate that. My uncle is working in ND so he says it gets really cold out there as well.

Partly because it's so much nicer to be cold but be able to warm yourself up than to be hot and be able to cool down! And cold weather's amazing, except that you can't grow as much in it.

The sad thing is, most of the news coverage didn't even mention they were there to prove global warming!

Once we went to a museum and watched a video while there. The video was suppose to be on polar bears, but really it was about how "global warming is killing off all our precious polar bears…oh, what can we do to save them?" :P It was an interesting film- it shared many facts about the bears, but the goal of the film was funny to us :P

Yeah, I did notice that… Every time I saw it reported on the news they said nothing about it. I don't know where my mom heard it, but she didn't know for a long time either.

Yes!! Very annoying and sad. Have you ever watched Evolution vs. God by Ray Comfort? In it he interviews experts and atheists and asks them to prove evolution is true…they can't!! It was interesting to watch.

Oh sorry! I didn't see your post until just then :) It gets extremely hot here! It can get to 50 C in the summer!! Winter is not really that cold though. We've never had snow where we live. The climate is very very dry, unless you go up further north. Do you like birds a lot? What sorts? There are some nice birds here. No bald eagles here, just wedge-tailed. Sometimes we see one or two above our house!

The snow is sorta melting! YAY!!! But my mom said that she heard that we are going to have an extremely hot summer. 2014- the year of the extremes. Anyone with me?
