What is Ides?
The Ides of March (Latin: Idus Martii or Idus Martiae) is a day on the Roman calendar that corresponds to 15 March. It was marked by several religious observances, and became notorious as the date of the assassination of Julius Caesar in 44 BC.

It's to _spring_ us into the final stages of the semester. :PSpring Break? Already? It's still snowing! :PHey Sam! How are you doing? Haven't talked with you for a bit! How's Chemistry? :)Fun. Test this week, even though it's Spring Break. :P
Well, it doesn't make much difference to me… I'm homeschooled, the only break I get is when babies come. :)

I know that, obviously. Trying to impress me with the fact that you know it too? :PThat was from _Thor 2_. Darcy. Talking to Thor. About 25ish minutes into the film. After we meet Ian the Intern. :)Space is good.Nice to see you too. Hows life? Not really, but I've been dying for you to show up anyway. :PNever received such an ebullient greeting from you. Has it been _that_ boring around here?YES! At last!Need the help of an Assassain Merc?Doing well :)I think I've spotted about four of these prim-and-proper conversations tonight..(I was in one of them :P) Come on guys - we're homeschoolers! (Not to mention BB-ers) We should be able to keep up a decent conversation better than this!!!
Making sure I remembered, and giving you ample opportunity to correct me, had I been wrong. :P
What'cha doing, 'sides chatting here? I'm picking out parts for my science fair project online, and singing in Korean. :P

Okay :D My cards are about the same size as the local 2013 cards after I cut them in half :P Yes, I've done that with some verses that were giving me a hard time and it worked super well!! Have you recorded verses you're trying to memorize?
Seth W.
Yes, primarily choral arrangements that I get to force my choir at church to sing, since I direct it. :) I don't really 'write' much piano music, but I pretty much improvise on Hymn themes on a weekly basis.

I thought Ecclesiastes was a little bit sad when I read through it, but it's not all that way. I like the part in chapter 3 about there being a time for everything. I recorded some of the 2009 passages, and in 2010 and 11 we got the songs, and then this last year I had part of John 17 recorded, so that helped. You just have to make sure you're recording them right… in 2009 I repeated a word in the recording, and then they asked me that passage in Orals at Nationals, and I repeated the word then too! :P
Seth W.
Yes, and I read all the articles you wrote, and quite a few by Elizabeth and Anthony Ledford. I'll try to send an email back tomorrow or the next day, but no promises - I may have too much catching up to do after today.

I very nearly did the same thing at Locals, as I recorded myself incorrectly on one of the passages as well. :D

So, it's now up to us to create some kind of fun and engaging conversation to enrich both the lives of us, but of those on right now. Any ideas? :P

Nope, as usual. I thought you were the one with all the ideas? :P

Haha! At least in 2009 I don't think they took points off for repeated words… I can't remember very well.

Fine. It's up to me.
Is genetic manipulation of human beings to counteract clinical diseases ethical? Where could such tampering lead to?

Excellent choice of topic.
It entirely depends on what is meant by genetic manipulation. If it ever involves using and ending the lives of cells that otherwise may have grown to become humans, it is entirely unethical. Otherwise, I do not see any problems with it; man is allowed, and even encouraged, to better himself physically if doing so does not endanger any other human being.

I memorized Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 (that's the part about there being a time for everything) a few years ago, but I didn't review it, so I don't remember it now. Is it harder for you to review without BB to motivate you? Haha, yeah, I know… it's actually kind of funny that I repeated that word, now that I look back on it. :P

Actually, our church uses grape juice, and I have never had wine before… but I really think that it would be more biblical to use wine. I won't raise any objections yet, though. :P

So, would tampering to give a human, for example, increased strength, would that be considered morally acceptable? If so, where does it end? Should we allow people to tamper with their genes and/or genetic code at all?
