Saw Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man. I have made my descision. ASM is better.
Thou art a heretic.

wonders what I am… I doesn't like spider-man. He gets punched around to much….

Wow. Dude. Your taste is seriously messed up. =p Actually, I haven't seen ASM yet, but from what I've heard, the original is much better. =p

1) Yup.

2) Fanboys who love movies that look like they were made in the 90s. :P

3) Peter was more…Peter…in ASM. He was actually a nerd, had a sense of justice even from the beginning, and was still struggling over the loss of his parents.

4) There were flaws in both movies, though. I liked the original Aunt May better, and Uncle Ben didn't say "With great power, comes great responsibility" in ASM. Buuuuuuuut…no one ever said that in the comic….the creator of the comic, Stan Lee did. So, I can let that slide.

5) MJ was never Pete's GF in high school. He had Gwen. ASM has more canonicity!

6) Organic webs in the first movie sucked. ASM made Peter out to be the genius he is, in making his own webs and equipment.

7) Peter was FUNNY as Spider-Man in ASM. That was something they didn't capture very well in the first movie.

Spider-Sense beibg linked to his reflexes is often accidentally or intentionally ignored in the movies. It's sad.

7) Andrew Garfield was WAY funnier than Tobey Maguire. Seriously. And he had more dialogue, and WAY less awkward "Maguire stare" pauses.

Ya, the character has potential (spinning webs, swigging between buildings, spider senescence, awesome costume, ext.). however he still looks like a wimp getting himself smashed through brick walls.

MORE dialogue? You mean more stuttering? If you counted all the 'uh's then yes he did have more dialogue!

And speaking of glasses, he wore them AFTER he got bit in asm!

Oh my g-o-s-h. Watching Spider-Man 2. They had him take off his mask IN FRONT OF A TRAIN FULL OF PEOPLE?!?!? That's even worse than all the times ASM got him to take off his mask!
That movie destroys all other superhero movies. Just wait and see.

I am saddened.

Yeah Peter, trust the kid's "We won't tell nobody.". Sure. I mean, not like anyone had a camera phone. And New Yorkers are known for being civil, honest people, right?

Okay, they wanted the audience to associate Tobey maguire with Spider-Man. Nothing wrong with that.

45 second dialogue with MJ that could have been spent getting out before they died. Classic.

No wonder they rebooted the series so fast. :P
