Well, your sense of humor probably isn't normal. But then, there really isn't a such thing as normal. Because anytime you find someone or something that's considered normal, everything else is going to be different from it, which makes the "normal" standard abnormal.

What does an "on" or "off" beat sense of humor even mean? Are there different rhythms of laughter that you can provoke?

They (whoever "they" are) would probably say she had an "off-beat sense of humor". I wonder if anyone has an "on-beat" sense of humor? I have met those who were sort of "near-misses" as far as sense of humor went, which makes me rather worried. Was that what they meant when they said "Off-beat"?

I highly doubt that anyone's sense of humor is really "on-beat". If anyone decided their sense of humor was "on-beat", everyone else's would be "off-beat" to them, which means that this person's sense of humor was thereby "off-beat".
