Studying going O.K. I think i passed the halfway mark for verses yesterday, but not to many passages left. Nahum is becoming very challenging, finding good key words and things. All and all, getting more and more nervous as time goes on!

Yeah, thankfully I am with learning, but I have just under half that I have quizzed perfect once, and some of those still need work. I think I can still get them all perfect by the end of next month, I just need to keep going…

Well, I remember Bethany P introduced me to you and Courtney, and we all shook hands, introduced ourselves, asked how each other was, then stood there not saying anything xP xP lol…. then Bethany, Courtney, you, and myself all sat together for Junior finals…I asked you for the time during the Finals… xP xP I don't remember anything else…lol

facepalm That is the hard stage, especially for the longer ones… I think I can probably get all the ones that would be asked in the orals down pat in time, but I'm not sure about the longer ones.

I'm working on getting the verses finished, then I'll work on perfecting the ones that are 12 verses or shorter…if time allows I'll work on the longer ones. I just want to make sure I know those because I'm supposing they won't ask the really long ones in orals ;-)

It's hard because when you fix one mistake, another one pops up. And you can't rush this stage; it takes a lot of time.

Really? I didn't know that! Seniors got Exodus 2:10-15 near the beginning (it was two cards), and then a couple of other longer short ones, and then all short verses at the end.

I'm working on preparing practice oral tests, do you think around 60 verses is enough, or too much for just 10 minutes?

Matthew and Everett: what was your highest oral score at Nationals? Just curious…

I went through the verses I chose for Primaries and I could read them all with no pauses in 8 minutes and 30 seconds, speaking at a normal speed. I hope that's not stretching it too far.

I don't think so….

In 2011 I got a perfect oral score, but that was when we only had to memorize 200 more verses for Nationals. :P The past two years haven't been nearly as good, I think I got something like 280 in 2012 and 245 in 2013.

Eh, okayish, but it was the nail in the coffin that knocked me out of Semis last year. xP I could have probably gotten more like 285 if I hadn't started over on a couple passages…
