Well, we were about 10 minutes away from possibly having eight dead boys, but yes, we and the house are all fine (except for a burned spot in the ceiling).

Well, we moved in to our "new" old wooden house with no smoke detectors or fire extinguisher and have been using candles instead of electric lights in the evenings. Someone brought one to bed as usual, and put it on the top bunk to read for a little while or something, and then blew it out as usual when everyone was going to sleep.

Sorry for being so….cold…… with you. I'm the same way with Ben and Joel. I feel so blank.

I just missed Carissa?????!!?? day is ruined

I have to go too…have a good evening. Seth, and Sarah! :)

I was up about an hour after everyone else was in bed because I had an exam the next day and needed to review some things for it, so about 11:30 I finished and went into the room (with a candle of my own), changed, blew the candle out, and was getting in bed when suddenly part of the ceiling above the bunk beds turned orange, and then part of the tile fell and I saw the flames. It was just a small spot, though, maybe an 8 inch circle. I woke up the boys on the top bunk and told them to get of their bed, since there was a fire just above their heads, and then I woke my parents up and we put the fire out. We had it under control pretty quickly, but Mommy called the fire department anyways to make sure that everything was safe. They said that that was the closest thing they had seen to becoming a real fire and doing some serious damage.
Ten minutes earlier and we would have all been asleep and probably suffocated, ten minutes later and at very minimum the house would have been badly damaged, probably worse since all eight of us are in a fairly small bedroom.

Kind of. Levi broke his arm… I was up last night with him. The goat is going crazy from loneliness. That's just part of it.

Yes, he is. If we had all been asleep than it probably would have kept burning until we all suffocated in our sleep from the smoke, and Mommy and Daddy would have no idea that anything was happening until the ceiling fell in.
