Well, I can help us determine what is the best sort of kindness to our fellow Memversers. For example, Nicolas dislikes hugs, so it wouldn't be nice of me to give him a hug to so I care… but he prefers words of affirmation, so if I can find some way of encouraging him with words it would be much more effective!

and I started taking the test and the questions are all like: would you rather… receve random email/text messages about nothing important from someone you love, yes! I LOVE spam! or receive a hug from some one you love?

would you rather… be around someone you Love, or receive a back rube from someone you love? kinda hard for them to rub my back and not be around me… dose Nickhulk give good back rubs?

I think the test is geared More toward developing deeper relationships with people of the opposite gender offline then I would ever want to online.

Sorry to sit on the fence… but I think that you should ask everyone's permission before doing that. If someone wants their profile there, great! If not, don't put it there. And honestly, considering that one of the first questions asked on there is "Are you in a relationship or single?", I think it's probably referring to romantic love.

True. I would not be adding any one who didn't want it on their profile… and lots of people don't even have to tell me what their results are.

Actually, now that I think about it… considering my point about the test being more about eros than phileo or agape, I vote down. So consider me on the "Not in favor" side.

I was originally in favor of this idea, but after further consideration, I feel that I should oppose it.

For one thing, I really don't think there's a real necessity for it. If there's a way we feel loved best, we can just tell people at the appropriate time–not herald it on our official descriptions. ;) Also, it appears that for most people here, the "love languages" idea itself has bad connotations, apparently being associated with marriage relationships in their minds. I know for a fact that this is not the primary purpose of the love languages, but since many people think that it is, it would not be appropriate to put it on the MUL, in my opinion. My two cents. :)

I am fine with the test. To me, it is on par with the Meyers-Briggs Test in that it shows how you react to different situations. Because it seems that some here are opposed to it, though, it might be a good idea if we tried something else instead. Just a thought. :)

Thank you for giving your opinion, and coming up with a possible solution! That is a big help! I will be looking for a different test that other people will like better.
