No, this is not my first year making it, but because of Memverse, I actually knew people whom I wanted to meet, instead of just ending up meeting people (if that makes sense :P). Also, there are quite a few people that I didn't exactly meet; namely, I told them my name once and never ended up talking with them again (Everett and Jarrett C), or whom I was with, but never exactly got introduced (Noah C). I'm sure there's more, like everybody who was playing gaga ball, but those are the ones that stand out.

What was it like being up in semis? Different than what you expected in any way? I'm curious…did you know you messed up when you quoted Job 40;1-14?

Well, I was really nervous… But it was mostly really fun! The general camaraderie between all the contestants was amazing. Some of us barely even knew each other, and yet we just naturally congratulated each other on successful recitations, and were so sad when somebody messed up! I could tell that everyone was just having fun, and didn't care too much who made it further - just that God's will would be done. It was a wonderful experience. I hope to repeat it. :)

And no, actually I didn't know what specifically I had messed up on in Job 40:1-14. It didn't seem quite right for some reason when I had finished, so I wasn't too surprised when I was disqualified; but I had no idea until Courtney told me that I had missed a whole verse! xP

Yeah, I really liked the way they did Orals this year too!
