Social Chatting - January 2015!

Nice! How many years have you been playing?

Since I was 7, so almost 10 years now. But, by skills degraded a lot 2 years ago; my teacher didn't let me play anything that I wanted, so I literally hated piano for that period of time. Nowadays, I'm just trying to regain lost skill. In other words, don't do as I did, keep up your practicing! :)

Our first tournament is later this month. Just one - it's a very small debate league. Last year, over 4 tournaments we debated all the teams that weren't in our local club. :)

:( Not fun. Yeah, well, I've kinda already slacked off because I'm not taking lessons. :P I switched to violin a couple years ago (I love violin!).

That's just about exactly my situation O_o I'm trying to continue to practice, but I'm focusing on violin (mostly because I'm earning school credit on it, not so much for piano). :P

Awesome! Violin is a fun instrument; my sister's been playing for about a year now. :) I'm learning to play the ocarina, ever since I got one for Christmas. It's really fun! :)

Yep. Trying to squeeze my last two years into one. x)

I can imagine! Our town is pretty small, so usually whenever we do some group thing, it's a small group. =) It used to be that there were several families we'd always be in the same groups with, but now everyone's kinda grown up and gone their own ways. :-/

Let's see… thinks hard I think about 6 credits - but that's not all in a full school year. (Edit - Thankfully it wasn't more than that, because I got ahead in grade 8-10. :)) December-May is when I'm doing most of them. How close I am greatly depends on the subject. I'm well over half done with Economics, barely started on Communication, and am going to test out of at least one subject (Geography).

It's pretty easy to learn, the only hard part is transitioning between finger positions. :)
