Wow, yeah, come to think of it, the only conversations that ever work out very well are ones I pre-rehearsed. xP

Farewell! Give my regards to the Marvelous Matron!
You have exceeded your daily exclamation point limit. Have you made a New Year's resolution concerning them?

...I fail to see how I ruined your happy moment. Why was that a happy moment anyway? :PLook man I just want some food! :p I litterally thought we was talking about pancakes! ;P
Should we tell her that we had pancakes for dinner?
…Hm. Nah, that'd be rude.

Going to bed. Night!

Probably 70-80% of what I say I thought through from weeks to 30 seconds before I say it. Now if I see people start coming towards me, my brain starts coming up with things to say and scenarios to cope with instead of freezing.

I must admit that I am often too lazy to spend time planning for something that… well, I usually hope I can simply get out of. Far too often I do just that–I freeze, and say either nothing or jumbled nonsense. It is highly embarrassing, but rather easily preventative. I just need to put more effort into planning ahead.

I'm kind of a control freak, so I don't mind planning ahead for something that I may end up being able to avoid. Also, it is helpful when you run across someone you really would enjoy having a conversation with to know that you won't have to think completely on the fly. Sometimes I honestly just think of it as a brain exercise to see how much control I have over my feelings and how fast I can come up with decent replies.

Any idea for my New Year's resolutions this year? I haven't thought of many.

I need to start looking at conversations more like that–as a benefit to me, not a torture.

It doesn't have to be. In real life, I would have spoken it more as a statement than as a question, because of my disbelief that you were apologizing over something so little. :P
Not a reason to apologize. :P

There are times when an exclamation point is needed, and when you restrict yourself as you did, it can make you look more indifferent than perhaps you intend. I don't know if you ran into this problem, but I can see myself running into it.

Indeed. I think that perhaps part of my extreme introvertedness is my selfishness; I simply don't want to talk to people, because it is difficult for me. Certainly something that I need to work on.

That is what I have always thought; but Christian has told me differently. I'm not sure whether he is right.

True, but least it didn't seem like I was yelling every sentence. Besides, I am pretty indifferent to start with.

And I do it as a brain exercise or for my own amusement. Also selfish.

Which is why it is not best to use exclamation points in every sentence. But, if you wish to convey a slight sense of indifference to match your personality, go right ahead. I suppose that frequent exclamation points are not for everyone.

Better than not doing it at all because of laziness.
