Let me make a clarification: in our analogy, bounciness does not represent instability, but excitement. Thus, I don't think that the Bible Bee's changing nature belongs in this argument.

It made it more interesting... _for them_. The very nature of it was to make it more exciting, with an audience, and microphone, and different verses, etc., etc.

Actually, I have been informed that the purpose of the change was to have a smaller space to work with. They said it was extremely difficult to find facilities large enough to hold the normal format for oral rounds.

Well, they could have brought in kids one at a time; it would have taken the same amount of time to have us sit in the hallway instead of the room.
