Social Chatting - January 2015!

Just got to where the girl dies from poison berries, leaving Katniss and Peetah the last ones in the arena other than the huge guy from District 2. :P

Katniss, Peetah, Cato… those are the only ones left. Thresh and "Foxface" have just died, and they were the last competition after the "feast" at the Cornucopia. Am I missing something?

Oh, I thought you'd read the others. Do you know anything about what happens in them then? (And I haven't heard if you've seen Catching Fire and/or Mockingjay. Have you?)

Only that the third book is "depressing". :P Which, I'm not sure if I believe. A depressing boo is _The Children of Hurin_, and even that wasn't so depressing. Well, at least not to me. :P And nope, haven't seen any of the movies. I do it book first. Always.

I sure hope it's not too depressing. Like, no major characters dying or anything. I'm afraid that might be what it is though... Meh. I've heard it's good to watch the movie first, so you can enjoy that, and then read the book, so you can enjoy that as well and then criticize the movie for what it missed. If you read the book first, you'll enjoy it, but you won't enjoy the movie quite as much.

Why should I wait to criticize if I can just read the book, and see the movie, and criticize while watching? I can always enjoy it for the things it got right, no matter how small they may be. I still wouldn't like Maze Runner as much as a movie simply because of the plot holes. Same with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (although in that case, it was mainly too much Megan Fox. :P), and Ender's Game, and Divergent. All movies with a lot of promise, but they all felt rushed, and felt more half-baked when compared to their respective books.

Exactly! It was Cato you missed! When you said "big guy from such-and-such District", you made me think Thresh (who sounded pretty boss to me, even though he was only in one small scene).

Meh. I've heard it's good to watch the movie first, so you can enjoy that, and then read the book, so you can enjoy that as well and then criticize the movie for what it missed. If you read the book first, you'll enjoy it, but you won't enjoy the movie quite as much.

Yup, that's this fall! I'm be close to graduating! :D Wow, you're quite the accomplished young lady! (And you can insult your sibs in 4 languages, but that's besides the point.) I'm sorry, I wouldn't know if Chinese is similar to Japanese, but I would imagine that they are not. Even the alphabet (kanji, to be precise) is different, so I'd imagine that the languages are different as well.

Sorry, I was talking about Cato the whole time. Thresh is from District 11 (as if I'd expect you to remember that :P). He was indeed "pretty boss"; I still don't know how Cato pulled off killing him. Does it ever explain that, do you know?

Nope; not in the first book, at least. He probably hit him from range, or was sneaky about it. I think Thresh could take him one-on-one.

Ok fun!!! :D ugh… School, learning/half memorizing CAP aerospace education books, school, playing instruments, got a guitar!!!! :D, school, school, school, and listened to music, after that, I did some school. Then more CAP reading. Then more school, then more CAP reading. Now I'm listening to music. :D My younger brother and I cleaned out the barn today too. :D

I told my dad to get maze runner instead but he got the freaking dragon one!

I did!!!! :D And I am very happy!!!! :D Lol, actually I am enjoying school very much. :D. I just had a ton of it to do… :D Well… I don't know… :D It helped we didn't clean out the pens too much… We have to use sledgehammers, chisels etc and chop out the pens in the winter, so we're gonna save that job for later. So we did basically everything but the pens. :D
