I wouldn't say that I'm officially rememorizing verses in the ESV that I once had memorized in the NIV, though the two translations have crossed in my memorization at times. It is indeed going rather well, and I do like it better, contrary to what I thought when I first switched. It seems to protect the integrity of the original text better than the NIV does, which sometimes takes liberties that I don't think it should probably take. It isn't too archaic, but not too modern to be trite either. I'm glad I chose it. :)

I'm thinking about switching from KJV. Corrective text is often changing my words on Memverse. Its the version being used from the pulpit at our church.

Hm. That is a problem, I suppose. I won't pretend it's an obvious choice, as they are both great translations, and there are several others besides–but I would recommend the ESV, if you are going to change. It's usually a great balance between staying true to the original text and translating everything into understandable English. It's up to you, though. :)
