Well, if statistics are anything to go by, when you're trying to complement someone, a guy usually prefers to be complimented about his mustache (such as it may be), while girls tend to respond more positively towards compliments regarding their beards… Anyways, just a suggestion that could help you earn friends. :)

Take notes or doing a writing assignment on the subject your supposed to be studying!!! :D I prefer the writing asignment. I get my writing in, and learn a whole lot more than just reading the book. :D
