Welll. If my dad hadn't done that I dunno if I would have said it. I actually thought it would be awkward too, but Paul Washer is really great at carrying on the conversation and knowing what to say so I don't regret the conversation in the least. ^ _ ^ So glad I had the opportunity.

Wellllllll. xP I asked my dad and he said it was better than the year before. xP There was a guitar, drums, piano and cello. It was okay overall… for the most it was fine, except the drums got a little overpowering at parts, which distracted from the lyrics. But it wasn't always like that. I didn't really appreciate the extra woman singer up front, though. It was Sovereign Grace music, I think? It wasn't horrible. ;)

Wellllllll. xP I asked my dad and he said it was better than the year before. xP There was a guitar, drums, piano and cello. It was okay overall... for the most it was fine, except the drums got a little overpowering at parts, which distracted from the lyrics. But it wasn't always like that. I didn't really appreciate the extra woman singer up front, though. It was Sovereign Grace music, I think? It wasn't horrible. ;)

But also… it just seemed so staged? I dunno… she had this perpetual smile on her face that I couldn't get over. I dunno. Maybe I'm just being too judgmental again? I just didn't care for it that much.

I feel like I probably would have agreed with a lot of what you said. I'm not that big on worship leaders to begin with, but female ones do usually bother me a bit. Especially if, like you said, she wasn't entirely modest, which only distracts all the more from the main purpose of congregational worship. So, no, I don't think you're being judgmental about it.

I thought it was very encouraging. The sermons were great! I met several of the speakers. I won a few books. I was tired…and sick/sore. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot. :)
