Seriously! I used to know but now I just keep stepping on mines!

Okay, here you go. It's pretty simple, really. Every number indicates the number of mines that surround the square on which the number sits. If the number is 1, there's only one mine near it. Those are the easiest to figure out. Oftentimes the square doesn't tell you enough to know which squares are mines and which aren't, but usually you can narrow it down if you work on the squares around it. Unfortunately, sometimes the game gives you a virtually impossible game, where you can't win unless you guess correctly. That doesn't usually happen, but it does sometimes.
