Oh well! It's not something you need to apologize for! ;) Doing well. We went to a nearby church and quoted Matthew nine in their service as a family. And we're having a combined meeting tonight. We'll be reciting there as well. ^I was so nervous this morning...and will be tonight... *facepalm*^ How are you? :)

You'll do fine! :)^ I'm quite well. :) The sermon today was very good; it was on 1 Peter 1:13-16, about casting aside whatever weighs us down in our spiritual walk and striving to be holy as God is holy. :) What was the sermon about at the church you visited?

Youch! How'd you get burned? Oh, and I've heard it's not usually best to do that... it's better to put the burn under cold _running_ water. At least, I'm pretty sure I've heard that...

I was putting wood in our wood burning stove, and my finger touched the edge of the hot part where the door was cut out.
Yep, That's right. and I did that at first. but I got board and it wasn't hurting (Hint. Hint. third degree burn). so I told mom and she made me hold it in a bowl of Ice water that I could carry around.

I learned a lot about Assyria while studying for BB too, but after reading pages upon pages in different books about it. It was a lot worse than I even realized about in BB. And I don't want to go in-depth on anything.

The first Pharaoh of Egypt united Upper and Lower Egypt after many years of having the White King and the Red King (just the colors assigned to their crowns they wore). He name was Menes and he reigned for 62 years, and died from a hippopotamus wound. After a while, the kingdom fell apart, and new Pharaoh's arose to try to bring it together. The Middle Kingdom fell when the Hyksos came in from the east and destroyed Egypt enough to have no Pharaohs.

Sargon of Akkad united the city-states which were under the power of the priests. He started the first known empire of the world. After he dead, the empire fell apart because his children were unable to keep it together.

So, some of the Egyptians took it upon themselves to try to reduce the huge population. Apparently, the king was not being safe when he tried to do the same, I guess. :P

Read Romans 11-12 today. Romans 11 is about the Gentiles coming into the faith as well as Jews. It was really good to consider the beauty of that chapter and how amazing it is that I get to be one in God's family, even though I'm so undeserving. And man, Romans 12. Can't say enough about that chapter either. The command at the beginning to have our lives as a sacrifice to God is so convicting because it takes moment by moment thought of how we spend every minute of our lives for the Kingdom. And then all the commands at the end… I could take weeks just studying them all because they are so good. Especially was challenged by the part that said "Outdo one another in showing honor…"

Definitely a lot to think about in those chapter. Ooooo. And the end of Romans 11 - I feel like expressing those verses back to God after spending time with Him each day because of how much He has done for me. The love, grace, patience, faithfulness that He daily shows me is so beyond my comprehension.
