Yeah! Last night a Bright Lights meeting was cancelled, even though the temperature was above freezing! At least here…
Esther Grace
What was really funny was that when we visited the Eddy's church last Sunday, they just so happened to sing that song.

…Wow. That is unbelievably ironic. Of course, their father is the pastor, so I'm fairly certain that Margaret very well could have influenced that somewhat…

All I can say is, W.O.W! :P

He doesn't choose the songs. I believe the choir director does. They hadn't sung it in months, until that Sunday. xP

Yeah. I think I've heard that our area of the country has a lot more problems with icy roads than a lot of places north of us… seems backwards, until you realize that freezing rain can ice up bridges and stuff a lot more than snow. :P
biblebee
I habe picked that up. :P
Esther Grace
I'm sure Texans are good compared to Oregonians who rarely experience ice (and thus, icy roads). RARELY. Like, never. No one knows how to drive in it.

When we get snow it is basically impossible to go up or down our street. It doesn't even have to be icy. And we still do it. :P

Indeed. :P But those are especially numerous around here in winter, and it's easy to run into one and get stuck behind it. :P

Or behind an extremely long line of tractors on a one-way road. Although somehow we didn't end up late to the Bible Bee meeting.

It's just an expression that doesn't mean what it says… but I'm really not sure how to explain it. xP It's kind of just for emphasis, I guess… :P

"For crying out loud" is an idiom usually used to highlight the ridiculousness of a thought, action, argument, etc. ;)

We've been stuck behind a slow moving tractor on a 1 lane country road like 1 hour north of us which was going probably 15 mph, and we were already late to Church. So yes, I believe my dad went on the other direction lane to get around it, after following it for like 15 minutes. xP
